Five year update: There is not a day gors by that we don't love the view of our landscaped yard…read more As requested, Trio installed native plants that attract birds, since my hobby is photographing birds. But the result was much more, the variety of flowers, shrubs and trees, (some bearing berries for birds) is the envy of the entire neighborhood. The plants have matured into a planned "painting" of contrasting foliage. My experience is that money spent outside of the house goes further than remodel money spent inside...maybe it is the "alive" thing that plants have. That sounds dumb, but seeing the seasons change in my yard is life affirming. Thanks, Diana. Larry and Helen

I called Trio Landscaping last fall to discuss a landscaping project we needed for our backyard…read more This is a duplex that hasn't had much loving care to the landscape due to it being a rental property. Now that my husband and I, the owners, moved in, we wanted a space that felt "finished", cozy and a place where we would like to hang out. Diana, the owner of Trio Landscaping, was excellent to work with. She spent a lot of time getting a good understanding of our budget and what we wanted before she created a plan and sent it to us. We had several zoom calls discussing the plan and making minor revisions to ensure it met our needs. Her design is spot on for our space. We were out of town the week the construction took place and came back to a completely new backyard! It has transformed the way we spend time in the back yard - hanging out with friends, grilling and just reading and relaxing. I now have a backyard I am proud to show off. The Trio Landscaping team are all top notch professionals! Thank you, Trio Landscaping!

We contracted with Friedges two years ago to install two large areas in our .6 acre backyard. The…read morebuilder left these two areas free of sod so Friedges installed fabric and several inches of river rock as well as nine 7 ft spruce trees. They were very careful to not mangle the new sod. One tree did not survive the first winter and they replaced it with an equivalently sized spruce. All nine trees are thriving. I watched them dig the holes for the root balls and know that they gave these trees plenty of room. They put shredded hardwood mulch with preemergent weed control around each tree and they've stayed mostly weed free. The edging around each rocked area has plenty of anchors and there's been no heaving after two years.

After speaking to no less than eight (8) different vendors, enter Friedges Landscaping & Jim. I…read moreknew from the first conversation with Jim on the phone, they were different. For starters, Jim was more thorough & informative than his competitors. He took the time to walk me through all the particulars & answer all my questions. Shortly thereafter, Jim came out and inspected our yard. He drew up a landscape plan for us & provided a detailed quote. I found Friedges pricing to be extremely competitive & fair (much less expensive than their competition). We ended up doing in-ground sprinklers & sod on about 1/3 acre lot. They did it right, trucking in fresh topsoil & throughly grading the lot. We added a 4' rock border around the house, and seven (7) blue spruce pine in the back - about 6' foot each. We also did a boulder wall & a nice manicured area in the front with plantings. Their team & installers were great and the end result was excellent. They even left me a plan & schematic detailing all the sprinkler zones & where the heads were located. Needless to say we're extremely pleased with the whole experience. Friedges & Jim are professional, timely & all around great landscapers. My favorite part is I have had no less than three neighbors complement my yard. I would highly recommend Friedges!
