Anthony and Steven came to save the day they got here on time ready to work, I had backed up waste coming into my tub, they didn't care about a messy job. They fixed the issue and cleaned up in less than 1hr. Once again, Economy came to save the day! I can't forget about the Receptionist April she is awesome, I she kept me calm and had them out the next day. I already recommended this company to all my friends and family if you want a honest, hardworking company and tired of shopping around give Economy a ring and let them clear your drain. :D

My sump pump pit started overflowing in the basement, so we called Plumbing Pumps to take a look…read more The first technician that came examined the sump pump and "investigated" it, and very adamantly told us that it's "completely dead" and beyond repair and needs to be completely replaced, which would cost $2300. Seemingly with no other choice, we agreed. The next day, a different technician came to do the work. He started dismantling the sump pump without bothering to unplug it from the electricity, and as karma would have it, the pump which was supposedly "beyond repair" turned on and blasted him with sewage water (of course blasting the rest of our basement too, covering various things with the stink). He had to spend the next couple of hours cleaning it, and of course the pump was just fine. But despite him not actually replacing it, and himself saying that he has "no idea" how it broke, how it started working again, and how long it would continue working for, the company still charged as $150 for "fixing" the pump! Completely incompetent and shameless. I called them trying to get it refunded but they were dismissive and rude. Will see them in small claims court.

The water heater was under warranty so I was just looking for someone to install it. Not only they installed the water heater, they also accompanied me to haul the water heater from Home Depot and installed it the same day. He also did stuff that the previous installer did not do like sealing some tubes, etc. They gave me the best price among all those who replied. The next time I hired them was because of the clogged kitchen sink. Unlike others, they did not stop until they resolved the issue to the point that they had to cancel their other appointments on that day. They had to dig and replace a very old sewer tube. They did this step by step. The best thing is that with all the efforts and time they did, they reasonably charged for their work. In all their dealings with me, they have always been professional and on time. These are really nice, honest, and helpful people. Just today, I recommended them to a friend.

Trusted professionals all the way!…read more We had a leak in our downstairs bathroom which was clearly caused by the master shower directly upstairs. We initially called in another plumber, and he and his boss felt very strongly that a hairline crack in the pan of our master shower was causing the issue. They came back with an estimate of $7,000 to redo the entire master shower (and vanity). What? We called Bommer Plumbing for a second opinion and boy, are we glad we did. Jim arrived right on time and he worked with my husband and me to troubleshoot the leak. He spent close to 90 minutes at our place. Long story short, the culprit of the leak was worn caulk along the top of of the master shower basin, NOT a hairline crack. We all cheered when the source was found! We saved thousands of dollars with this (accurate) diagnosis. And he even pointed out a potential issue with the electric source for our downstairs bathroom fan. Jim was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and hilarious. We were cracking jokes like old buds. He was awesome! And office staff is super friendly. They keep you apprised of your plumber's whereabouts on the day of your appointment. They even send a picture of your plumber so you know what they look like ahead of time. This was a great touch and much appreciated, as you can never be too careful these days. I cannot recommend this company enough. Don't do what we did and call Bommer Plumbing second...call them FIRST.

When you live in South Philly, you know that hiring for home services can be challenging if someone isn't familiar with how to navigate tight spaces. It always stresses me out. My house is small and narrow and my water heater is in the most inconvenient spot. They were so kind, knew exactly how to get that water heater through my doorway with only an inch gap and installed it behind all sorts of pipes (see pic!). I don't think it could have been less stressful. Not only was the process smooth, but they really cared about making sure everything was working as safely as possible and explained it all.
