Way back in the Spring of 2017, on my way up to Mount St. Helens, I hit something on I-5, which damaged my Automatic Transmission Oil Pan, causing it to practically drain all the Transmission Fluid. I randomly found Jack's Towing, likely using Yelp.com, and had them come out to help me. The tow truck arrived very quickly and the driver was very helpful in cleaning up all the transmission fluid which had leaked out in the restaurant's parking lot. I had no idea where I might get my car repaired, so I just had it towed to the mechanic the driver suggested. The whole process was fairly painless, completed in under an hour, and the driver even gave me a break on the mileage. All in all I was treated fairly, professionally, and got good value for the money spent. read more

I got a flat on 503, couldn't find a new tire anywhere, so the State Police towed my car, which is understandable. When I went to pick up my car, I asked if I could grab my rim so that I could get a new tire, the woman at the front desk was very nice and let me. After hours of searching I finally found one. I got back to the lot, they released my car after a whopping $400, and I got to work on changing the tire. Unfortunately the lug nuts were not budging, so I went in and asked. Dave, who appeared to be a mechanic, asked "Can I help you?" with total attitude. I told him that the lugs were not budging and if I could get some help. He was very short and said "Ask Nate, he's back there". Thankfully Nate lent us an extender and we were able to get 4 of the 5 lug nuts off. The last one was beginning to strip, so I was unable to get a grip and the lug wrench kept slipping off. I went back into the shop, and Dave immediately, in a snarky condescending tone, went "Yesss?". So again, I asked for help. With a GIANT sigh, he said "I'm going to have to start charging you". I said that's fine, I just need help. I fully understand that he is not obligated to help me, but I was raised to help people who need it. Grumpily he checked to see if Nate was still there and was visibly upset when he realized he had already left for lunch. He muttered "I guess I have to go look at it". When Dave got out there, he used a different wrench and was able to loosen the lug nut. He just about threw down the tools and walked away, huffing the whole time. I have never felt that I was such an inconvenience. I work customer service and know people can be awful, and I'm sure people are usually mad when their car has been towed. Dave's attitude made a terrible day even worse. I would not get work done, cars towed, or anything by that jackass. read more

These guys are great. Called Them in the morning about my tractor that was stuck on a cliff. I sent him a photo about the predicament I was in and they sent out a special truck with winch and was able to pull the tractor safely off of the cliff. I was back mowing fields the same day. read more

We were in the wrong and parked in a lot we shouldn't have. Will not deny we saw signs but thought oh it's Saturday, it's fine...(learned that lesson). Noticed we were towed twenty minutes after and we immediately called them. They were literally around the corner (two minute walk, if that). We were charged $333 for them to tow AROUND the corner. WOW! They tacked on after hour charges even though they are marked as a 24 hour service online. Absolute highway robbery. Not to mention the smirk terrible attitudes knowing there was nothing we could do. Customer service is terrible. read more

So I left my car on private property in Woodland, (my fault) and these were the lucky people who got called for the impound. I got a letter in the mail notifying me that my car had been towed by them. Within 2 hours of getting the letter I was there to deal with my non-running car. They charged: $175 for the tow. $88.08 for a day and a half of "storage." I informed them that to have my car towed from the highway 7 miles away to where they towed it from, it was $80. I further asked them why I had to pay 88 dollars to store it for a day and half when I just got the letter in the mail and this was the earliest I could feasibly pick it up. "You're just nailing me because I'm from out of town," I said. His story: "The prices are set by the law and this is what I have to charge and I charge everyone the same." So I called the police the next day to find out if the charge for "storage" was legitimate. The police said that yeah, they were allowed to do it, but the prices that tow companies charge are not set - places are given a range of prices that they can charge and he just happened to be charging me the max. So yeah, he was nailing me because I was from out of town and he thought it would be less awkward to lie about it than to admit it. If this is how they do business, I wouldn't trust their towing company or their repair shop. I'd do business with a used car lot on 82nd in Portland before I would with these people. He told me business was slow lately and that if it was such a sweet business, I could buy a towing company if I wanted. No wonder, you've been in business long enough for people who live around you to realize you're a bunch of liars. read more

Tom was a life saver. We had a bearing break on our boat trailer out in Ariel WA. We called so many towing companies to help us tow our boat and trailer back home. We found Jack's towing and Tom answered the phone and was very courteous and knew exactly where we were and what we needed. He came and got the job done in quickly. His company's pricing was the best we had found and was well worth it. Tom even went above and beyond his duties to help us put our boat back into our garage. We are so thankful for that!! I blew a tire on the freeway and could only pull over to the side with no room to even open my door. I was frightened and called Jacks. I could not exactly tell them where I was but described a field and were there in less than 4 minutes. It was dangerous and Carl was professional and calm and quick. Do not ever use these people! My 18 year old son was in a car wreck the first car wreck he had ever been in Jack's Towing showed up to tow his car never told him they charged $175 an hour to tow a car then before they took the car to the body shop they towed the car to another location do you have someone else tow the car to the body shop ,and I ended up paying almost $250 to have his car towed less than 16 miles do not ever use these people. You can tell my son was a new driver you could tell he was upset because he never been in a car wreck before and I think they really should have explained the Charges better to him read more

My daughter's car would not start. I called AAA, sometime around 4 pm and within about an hour, the tow truck from Jack's Towing arrived. I had arranged with AAA for the car to be towed 180 miles to my mechanic. The tow driver was surly, rude, and belittling. He challenged me as to how I knew it was the fuel pump (I didn't, it was my best guess). He asked if the car would not start (yes, it would not start, that was the reason he was there). Then he said he would "check for himself." He made my daughter get out of the driver's seat of her car so he could sit there and turn the key himself. Because. You know. She can't turn the key in the ignition herself (we may both be women, but we really do know how to start a car). When it wouldn't start, despite him pumping the gas pedal repeatedly, he said we had a BIG problem, because the engine should be flooded, but it wasn't. (The car is fuel injection. It won't flood). He mentioned that the battery was going low (yes, I had noticed this myself, which was why I had quit trying to start it and called a tow) and asked if I had been trying to start the car. YES, I had been trying to start the car - that was how I knew the car wouldn't start. (Duh). Then he said he was the only AAA driver in the area, and he had 4 calls pending, so he couldn't tow the car until 7:30 pm, because another driver would come on at 7 pm. He took the keys and dismissed us, saying "you can go now." Despite having "pending calls," he sat blocking my exit. At least five minutes later, I backed up (I was in my own car, towing a small trailer, and I had deliberately set myself up so I could go forward so as not to hit another car in the parking lot while backing up. He remained parked directly in front of me, even when my daughter got out and helped spot me). He was still sitting there as I left. So, at 8 pm, he called my daughter and told her he had hooked up her car and started for Salinas, then stopped for gas. His gas card had been "accidentally cancelled," so he was headed back to Davis. He said he was going to drop her car off at her apartment, and she would have to call AAA in the morning for a tow, in effect - start all over with the tow process. He dropped her car there, gave her the keys, and just left. I called AAA again, a little frantic about the lack of service. They were able to arrange for a different tow company to come in the morning and transport the vehicle to Salinas for me. The car was transported by Anthony's Towing from the Woodland, Ca area, and THIS tow driver was extremely helpful and pleasant - he even helped us push the car up into the driveway. So, all's well that ends well. But I will never use Jack's Towing for anything. read more

Our truck wouldn't start and we were stuck at Mt St. Helens and we waited 5 hours for Dave to show up and he drove us back up there and before he could hook the truck up we asked if we could try starting it one more time and by some miracle it did. He charged us 205 dollars for nothing. I understand if he had a fee of 50 dollars, that would have covered his gas and 10 minutes of time he said he "wasted". We were totally taken advantage of and he was kind of a jerk about the whole thing. WE WAITED 5 hours for the guy to show up after they kept telling us "about an hour, he's on his way". I wish I could get my money back. I am so disappointed in how I was treated. read more

Do NOT use Jack's Towing in Woodland, WA., unless you want to be another victim of their outrageous charges and sub-standard customer service! One of my cars was stolen and stripped. The tow driver returned with my car just minutes before closing time. I was NOT allowed to take care of my bill at that time, was then told to come back the next day, then charged a storage fee. The jerk even told me that if the storage and towing was not paid, it would go against my drivers license. Great way to treat someone that had already been victimized huh? This is not a way to handle this kind of business, unless you are taking advantage of people! Jack's Towing lacks customer service skills! Note to Jack's Towing. Customer service skills go a long way. Treating people with dignity and respect are paramount. Your company should make this a goal immediately! Give your customers "service with a smile." Even if you are charging an outrageously high amount, which you are known for, your business will get much more respect by treating people better! I rolled my jeep with my family, the sheriff deputy recommended jacks. Tom got the call and had my jeep secure in their yard before I got to the ER. I called and ask if I could come pay my bills and get squared up with them, Tom told me, he didn't care if I called at midnight, since it was a weekend I would get charged the same price on my after hour fee, since I wanted it out of there as soon as possible, he told me to take my time and he would make available time for me to get the jeep. I ask if he could tow it for me, not a problem. When I got to the yard, the first words out of Tom's mouth were "is everyone ok?" I said "yes" he smiled and said how glad he was to hear it... He towed my vehicle to where I needed it, didn't gripe about it being after hours, just smiles the whole time... All the people complaining about the price have to realize, this is their business. I have met a lot of drivers in my day, and these guys, bar none made me feel the best when I dealt with them. Thanks Tom, you were a life saver for my family and me today! read more

No quote or anything says hell pull it out no problem. My fault i guess not getting an estimate. 5 mins later im out he writes a bill $323. I thought he was kidding and laughed. He says no im serious. Oh shit. Wat?? He says he knocked it down from 409. I feel he took advantage of my wife and i because we had no other resources at this immediate time and were a little desperate.
