When I arrived, they were out of stock - - having only the display model. Manager was kind of crappy about it -- saying that "Corporate" controls inventory reporting, that I should call first to see if the item is in stock. Short message is that I missed out on the sale, didn't get the product I wanted or any price protection, and the employees were snotty about it. Bought what I needed at Tractor Supply and HF will miss out on a good customer for awhile.

There is a State mandate to wear a mask in public, wish people would be respectful of others.

I prefer to go to smaller stores than the big box superstores when I can to support local smaller business and to get things more quickly- this size has plenty to offer but it's faster than walking through a mega store to get a few screws or a new tool. 2) selection: hands down, this store has far more in stock than all other Aces and local smaller stores when it comes to power tools/ power tool option models from Dewalt, Makita, craftsman, black and decker and Bosch- among others. Decent selection of most things you could ever need for your projects and household stuff. Any time I've ordered online the order is there and ready. Recommended.

They had 1 paint can on the shelf, but no lid. The price marked on the shelf was $5.99. i picked up a cheap plastic lid hoping she would at least give me a discount or find me a lid so i did not have to buy one, that was supposed to come with the pail. Nope, the empty paint can rang up at 6.99 and she rang up the cover at 2.59 for a total of $9.58 for an empty paint can. I told her to keep it and i would go to Home Depot to get it. IHome Depot price was 6.99 and it came with a cover. I think Hamshaws need to empower their employees, the ability to work with the customer, if there is an issue, like i experienced. I am sure (maybe not)Hamshaws would rather have me leave as a happy customer and not a disgruntled one

No prices on sample upholstery books, an order has to be written up to get this information and often shocking when you do. Insane. Their sale room has great fabric including upholstery for a very reasonable price. Sewing machines of European and others unknown to me are exceedingly expensive. Some of the staff are very helpful.

The assistant manager in this store, Travis, has something seriously against women. He's extremely…read morerude and disrespectful to some of the women workers there, and has been the same towards some of the female customers. The owners know this, they watch him do this, but will turn a blind eye to it. I was a customer here for a while, but stopped when I kept witnessing this. In addition, their dog biscuits and bird seed is CONSTANTLY infested. It's pretty disgusting. Go to Cheshire Horse. Atleast there they will treat you with respect and believe in rotating their stock.

showed up to exchange my 20cf argon tank for a larger size- i have an account with them for 3 years…read morenow. it's the ONLY account I've ever had with any gas supplier- they are the inly gas supplier in the area. i bought my tig welder 3 years ago, and at the same time i got a 20cf bottle of argon that THEY gave me (along with oxy / ace and co2 / arg mix for mig)... the guy around back gives me a hard time about how it isn't their tank- the tank apparently belongs to praxair. i tell him it's the tank THEY gave me years ago along with the other tanks. he says no- i repeat, yes. airgas is the ONLY gas supply chain I've ever used! there's no praxair even in the state or within a 60 mile radius! This guy is still going to argue with me that it's not their tank!!! then he says it's illegal for him to even take it because the sticker on it is scratched up. i explained to him It's in the exact same condition it is when I got it; The tank went from the backseat of my truck, then home and strapped to my welding cart in my garage, and sat there for years untouched. Unbelievable! The only reason why I'm giving them two stars instead of 1 is because the other front end guy (bald) came out and took care of business, and did it in a friendly manner. Either they messed up and gave me someone else's returned bottle years ago or this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I've only ever had one account with Airgas, and only bought gas from Airgas. If I have someone else's bottle, it's because they gave it to me. Simple as that!
