Having said that, it suffers from the perennial Home Depot staff indifferent customer attitude. I had a question on kitchen garbage disposers. There were eight employees near the appliance section, staff chatting away and totally ignoring customers. Seriously.... On the other hand, the cashiers were absolutely helpful Good visit but Home Depot needs to emphasize customer service training. Sadly, that seems to be corporate-wide.

It was on sale, and listed as being "in stock" (not only one or two left) one hour before I arrived. It takes me about 45 minutes to get there. When I arrived, they were out of stock - - having only the display model. Manager was kind of crappy about it -- saying that "Corporate" controls inventory reporting, that I should call first to see if the item is in stock. Short message is that I missed out on the sale, didn't get the product I wanted or any price protection, and the employees were snotty about it. Bought what I needed at Tractor Supply and HF will miss out on a good customer for awhile.

I stopped in looking for something specific and while I was wandering the store I was met by several shoppers not wearing masks in the store. It is clearly posted on the door to the store. The employee was at the cash register and as these people passed him nothing was said. I left the store without purchasing anything and am not sure I will return anytime soon. There is a State mandate to wear a mask in public, wish people would be respectful of others.

They had 1 paint can on the shelf, but no lid. The price marked on the shelf was $5.99. i picked up a cheap plastic lid hoping she would at least give me a discount or find me a lid so i did not have to buy one, that was supposed to come with the pail. Nope, the empty paint can rang up at 6.99 and she rang up the cover at 2.59 for a total of $9.58 for an empty paint can. I told her to keep it and i would go to Home Depot to get it. IHome Depot price was 6.99 and it came with a cover. I think Hamshaws need to empower their employees, the ability to work with the customer, if there is an issue, like i experienced. I am sure (maybe not)Hamshaws would rather have me leave as a happy customer and not a disgruntled one

I've been to a lot of hardware stores and my local Ace stores are nowhere near what this Ace…read more/Hamshaws store is: by far, 1) size: this store is a decent square footage. I prefer to go to smaller stores than the big box superstores when I can to support local smaller business and to get things more quickly- this size has plenty to offer but it's faster than walking through a mega store to get a few screws or a new tool. 2) selection: hands down, this store has far more in stock than all other Aces and local smaller stores when it comes to power tools/ power tool option models from Dewalt, Makita, craftsman, black and decker and Bosch- among others. Decent selection of most things you could ever need for your projects and household stuff. Any time I've ordered online the order is there and ready. Recommended.

No prices on sample upholstery books, an order has to be written up to get this information and often shocking when you do. Insane. Their sale room has great fabric including upholstery for a very reasonable price. Sewing machines of European and others unknown to me are exceedingly expensive. Some of the staff are very helpful.

The assistant manager in this store, Travis, has something seriously against women. He's extremely…read morerude and disrespectful to some of the women workers there, and has been the same towards some of the female customers. The owners know this, they watch him do this, but will turn a blind eye to it. I was a customer here for a while, but stopped when I kept witnessing this. In addition, their dog biscuits and bird seed is CONSTANTLY infested. It's pretty disgusting. Go to Cheshire Horse. Atleast there they will treat you with respect and believe in rotating their stock.
