[Blowing on my nails.] The menu is a mix of American comfort food and gastropub classics, but with flair, and has a bit of everything to satisfy different palates. Our eyes were probably bigger than our stomachs as we ordered 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 cocktails, and it was an enormous amount of food. The portions are definitely what you'd call hearty, and everything was very tasty. Thursdays are all day happy hour so we picked the fried calamari appetizer at the HH price (still a full and generous plate and didn't seem like a downsized version) which were tender and well-battered, as well as the hot honey wings which were meaty and substantial. The short rib parpadelle with housemade pasta and a perfectly medium-rare, well seasoned hanger steak with truffle fries completed our satisfying and belly-stuffing meal. The cocktails are serious as well - the presence of a drink with egg white is my personal litmus test for a bar that knows what it's doing, so the Thyme to Bloom special had my name on it. I'm salivating just looking at photos of dishes I didn't order, and am already plotting my return!

Very moody, low lit place with a huge collection of vinyl along the bar wall. I had the Allison Road, made with gin, dry vermouth, apricot liqueur, and orange bitters, described as "A smooth and aromatic gin cocktail that walks the line between floral and fruity." I also had the Junmai Spritz, recommended by the bartender, made with umami/saki, strawberry, ginger, and seltzer. Described as, "Crisp and refreshing, with subtle umami from sake, bright strawberry fruit, and hint of ginger spice." They also have drinks featuring rye, whiskey, rum, mezcal. Flavors of jalapeño, honey, orange, vanilla and chocolate. They have a HUGE beer list. Most of the menu is Japanese inspired. The bartender was kind, attentive, and very laid back. Other than a couple patrons here and there, I was the only person in there on a Wednesday afternoon. They say it gets busier on weekends. They also have a DJ on weekends, usually playing R&B and hiphop. They played mostly jazz when I was in, and it was very relaxing. I came in for the vibes, but this would be great for a workspace as well.

The guac and chip didnt have enough salt, felt like there was no love put into that. The service was on point tho, very attuned with thier customers. I appreciate they are ADA compliant. The seats are kinda awkward and circular, wasn't a fan. When you pull them out to sit you have to make sure you don't drop the seat. Other than that had a great time with good company. The staff have always been friendly and extremely knowledgeable; it is really handy when you can say you live in San Francisco, what do you have that I can only get out here? You can tell it is a good place in Hell's Kitchen/Times Square when stage hands and actors actually come by after (definitely not between) their shows. They also have whiskeys available here as a sidecar; definitely do not try and order any other liquors, the back of their staff shirt makes that clear. For food, I've only ever had the cheese curds because I obviously have a problem and can't get them at many places in SF. The portions are large and the prices reasonable. My only feedback to them is maybe offer some large format bottle pours on busy nights so people can try some of the more obscure options.

Got a nice dose of dive bar and it was exactly what I was looking for. The place is small, it is loud, there is a good selection of beers on tap and some more on bottles/cans from the fridge. Bartenders are just the right amount of "if you're not a regular you're fine but you're not special" and chatty friendly. What you'd expect from a hole in the wall with decently cheap beer (compared to just a block or two over).
