I have ridden one that was a bit janky with tight seating. One bus left picked me up in Manhattan about 10 minutes late, but made up some time en route. I have been careful to travel during off peak times. As a result, all of the trips have been on time. My wife and kids have gotten burned a few times traveling during rush hour. It's not the Jitney's fault. It's just as bad driving. Snacks and bottled water are provided. A solid, convenient alternative to driving. Choose your travel time carefully. Less aggravating than driving. If being on time or traveling during rush hour is important, take the LIRR.

Wish I could leave zero stars…read more I grew up in Mattituck and have been commuting back and forth for 20 years with the Jitney. WiFi is typically hit or miss, as are the power outlets. However, there have been three trips more recently where the ac has not been functioning. Once in August last year, and again July 27 2026. For the more recent trip, I asked the attendant if she could turn it on and she politely said she would try. No luck. The fans for ventilation above the seats were also not working. When I got off, both the driver and the attendant were apologetic about the ac not working, saying they were very uncomfortable too. When I called customer service to see if there was anyway to incentivize me to continue using their service after I left this trip sweaty, I was told the ac was working. And both the driver, the attendant and the mechanic said there was no issue and the bus was 70 degrees the whole trip. Nicole in customer service then said she is not comping a ride then hung up. She didn't even catch my name, or reservation number. Odd being the first time I called, customer service said they don't talk with any of the mechanics. Also, both the driver and the attendant admitted to the ac not working and they too were uncomfortable. If you want to take a two hour ride with no AC in the middle of summer then be gaslit when you call to present the issue, I'd suggest taking the jitney. Call and ask to talk to Nicole for a rude representative who will then hang up on you. Highly recommend the LIRR at all times. Awful experience and horrendous customer service.

I would strongly recommend avoiding Hamptons Leisure Limo…read more On our wedding day -- arguably the single most important transportation day we will ever have -- they sent a run-down, filthy van with broken air conditioning instead of the limo transportation we had ordered. My wife was forced to sit in this vehicle in her wedding dress, along with her wedding party, our parents, and two pregnant women who had to squeeze into an already inadequate van. The driver didn't even have water available for my wife, the bridal party, or our parents. The condition of the vehicle and the overall level of service were completely unacceptable for any occasion, let alone a wedding. Things were bad enough that Hamptons Leisure Limo eventually had to call another transportation company to provide the proper vehicle for the return trip. While I'm glad they finally found a solution, that does absolutely nothing to fix the most important part of the day -- getting my wife, our family, and the wedding party to the wedding comfortably and appropriately. That experience was an absolute joke. What made the situation even worse was how they handled it afterward. I was initially told that I would be fully reimbursed because of how badly the service had failed. The following day, one of the owners called me and instead tried to justify the situation by pointing out that they had subcontracted another company for the ride back. He then appeared to question whether our description of the experience was accurate, which was incredibly insulting after what our family had just dealt with. After all of that, they offered a 20% reimbursement. Twenty percent. For sending the wrong vehicle, in filthy condition, with broken AC, overcrowding a bride, wedding party, parents and pregnant guests on a wedding day, and then needing another company to step in and provide the transportation they were supposed to provide in the first place. The 20% offer was almost more insulting than the original service failure. Mistakes can happen. What separates a reputable company is how they respond when they completely drop the ball. In our case, instead of taking full responsibility and making things right, they minimized what happened and offered a fraction of a refund. If you are considering Hamptons Leisure Limo for a wedding or any important event where the transportation actually matters, I would think twice. Avoid this company like the plague.
