They asked me to take my mask of to ID me which is perfectly understandable. However, employees were not wearing their masks right which made me uncomfortable. If you will routinely need to ask people to remove their masks- employees should be wearing their masks properly. read more

I went in to Jackanson's last night looking for a small gift or Valentine's and a card. I have always remembered that store to be akin to a Hallmark store/paper store. So the first min I was in there browsing at the Willow trees a gentlemen asked me in a rude tone "You need help with something?" I said no just browsing! So as I muddled up and down the isles (quite unimpressed with how bad it's gotten) he asked me again if I need help? I said no again! One min later he says "We closing in 10 mins." I was trying to find a greeting card for someone. So I had two that were bit exactly what I was looking for but that would suffice if need be. Then I found some blank cards I was kneeling down in front of blank cards and literally 2 mins after he said it 10 min. He was standing behind me hiding behind a display and he turned all the lights off! (THIS OCCURRED AT 7:15pm to 7:30pm. So I set two cards down right were I stood instead of returning them to the correct spot! The guy was following me around the store making me feel VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! So I went up to the registrar and purchased 1 greeting card and I had two plastic toys my daughter had said she wated with a younger man upfront. After payment was received the man that was harassing me the entire time said "Where are all the greeting cards you had?" I said I left them back there next to the blank cards after you turned out the lights! He said "No no you had alot of cards! Just keep them just keep them but be honest!" I lost it! I insisted he follow me back to the cards and I showed him where I stuck them BC it was dark so I certainly wasn't going to find the right slot for them! He was basically insisting that I had taken some shitty no name greeting cards but I had not! So once I realized he was seriously convinced that I was actually taking things I stopped at the keno table emptied all my pockets shook out my purse and took of my jacket and winter hat! The man still didn't appologize at this point and I took notice that customers were still coming and going grabbing alcohol and leaving quickly. So the younger man at the front had said sorry and that I could go.. But the middle aged man who claimed he's been there for 15 years was still giving me dirty looks and acting like I stole one of there shitty cards! Or something else? I walked out and my car battery had died so needless to say I had to be out front for a few mins. My 10 year old daughter pointed out that the sign on the door said 9pm! It wasn't even 8pm yet and it was Friday night! Customers continued to go in and out for a good 15 more min! So I returned inside and said so you really aren't closing? Why did you shut off the lights while I was way down that isle then? At approx 7:20pm? Then I said I wanted the manager or owners name and number and he claimed not to know his bosses name? Wouldn't give it to me! He actually tried saying his boss called from home to tell him go watch me! Why BC SOMEONE WAS ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN THE CRAPPY OLD, dusty and discolored INVENTORY FROM BACK WHEN THEY WERE A REAL STORE? Or someone was actually for once reading the cards BC the selection was shit! They were a dollar tree type cards too! Not one Hallmark of American greetings nothing! I've never felt so belittled in my life and to be honest discriminated against for being a younger white female! The younger man at the counter did look like he was about to write the bosses name and number down for me then the middle aged man stated yelling at him in their Native language! Almost like the younger man knew that I Wasn't doing anything wrong he was apologizing for the other man over and over again!! So I'm assuming the older guy is higher up then the younger man! The way I was treated last night was totally and completely unwarranted, unprofessional and uncalled for! So basically the feeling I got from it was if you're going in there to buy booze or cigarettes they'll treat you nice if you're going in there to actually browse at the shit that they called products or knickknacks then you're going to be harassed around store apparently? I WILL NEVER GO BACK IN THAT STORE AGAIN EVER! read more

Lived in Marshfield for about 25 years now. Liked the place because it has an old time feel to it, or a gift shop feel. But the people that work there have never been friendly. They are always whispering to each other behind the counter, and usually don't even stop while they are running you up. They rarely make eye contact or even acknowledge you. And if you say thanks, they hardly ever respond back or even say " have a nice day" or anything. The reason I am taking the time to do a review now, is that just last week, they gave me incorrect change and refused to correct their mistake! Once again, I went up to check out and just had a card. I am 100% sure I gave him a $10 because that's all I had on me. I had just left a car wash where it was $10 and I gave them my last $20 and they gave me the $10, so that's all that was in my wallet. The guy gave me $3 and some change back and I was about to walk away when I realized it was wrong. I calmly said you gave me the incorrect change and that I gave him a $10. Without hesitation he said "no you didn't". Then the arguing started. I explained I only had the $10 on me but he didn't care at all. We went back and forth and I said I want my money! He simply replied "your not getting it" As I mentioned, as usual he was talking to someone else behind the counter when he rang me up, so he wasn't even paying close attention. More importantly, why would I argue so much over $5 if I wasn't positive? I even asked him to check the video from the many cameras recording everything, but he wouldn't!! He said "give me you number and he will call me if the drawer was off at the end of the day" I don't give out my number so I refused and he said then come back tomorrow. An older woman in line backed me up and said that they were being ridiculous. I came back the next day, mostly just to prove them wrong, but when I got there I was told he wasn't there, and I would have to come back again!! What kind of a place would treat a customer like this?! I'll never go back again, and I will tell everyone I know about my experience as well!! read more

Absolutely disgusting experience. Disorganized, unclean, and smells like garbage. I was stared at from the point of entry until checkout, and my ID was held for over a minute while the clerk asked me questions about where I lived. To top it off, I was questioned about my genitalia on my way out the door. When I called to speak with their manager, the clerk told me they were not in. When I asked when the best time to reach the manager was, he told me he "doesn't understand English" and hung up on me. I'm confused on how he had no trouble with the words, "Do you have a p**sy?" but couldn't understand "when can I speak with your manager?" - I was under the impression that this was a convenience store, not a brothel. Truly revolting experience from start to finish, I'd give zero stars if I could. Word of mouth travels fast - the five people I've told (so far) have no problem taking their business elsewhere, so I'm sure that number will kick up in a few weeks. LIFE TIP: customer service skills are vital when working IN customer service, fellas. Sexual harassment won't get you far. read more
