I came to buy a truck and the pasta was very quick. Although I did emphasize I had to be in and out of there pretty quickly due to nursing Bradley and Jack Garcia made it happen and we're very kind and thorough. Financing was a breeze. They offer lifetime free car washes when you buy a vehicle from here. Everyone was very pleasant highly recommend this location read more

My work truck had a brand new engine and transmission put in. The truck engine stalled out on a call and I had to get it towed to the nearest dealership which was Jack Schmitt Ford. They had it a week and said it was fixed. I picked it up and two days later had the engine light come on. I had to wait 5 days for their schedule to bring it back in. I dropped it off on a Friday and called Tuesday morning to get an update. I was told I'd get a call back before close. I got nothing. I called Wednesday and left two messages with no response. I called Thursday several times, each going to answering machine. I finally talked to Sam on Thursday night and he promised me an update Friday (a full week later). I got a message Friday that he had no update. After several times calling on Monday (10 days later), I left a message with the lady at the front desk and asked her to please have someone call me back. NOTHING. If this is how you warranty Ford trucks, it is pitiful! I just got back from having to drive 45 minutes out of my way just to get an update. I was told by Sam that he didn't even know if the truck had been looked at after 12 days and it might take a MONTH to diagnose. My guess is they just don't want to do the warranty work. Horrible customer service. read more

No Pressure, No Surprises, No Bullcrap! The best Car buying Experience I've had by FAR has been working with the Jack Schmitt Ford Team!

Everything done as promised and on time! Pricing was competitive and vehicle was even washed when I picked it up.

Do not take your vehicle to this dealership for repair! I went in for a overdrive issue and they gave me my car back with a blown engine! They could not get a check engine light to come on so they repeatedly put the car in overdrive until they blew the engine... read more

Bought a truck here and while on vacation had an accident that broke our driver side mirror. We called immediately on the road and ordered a replacement. When we got home and went to have the mirror replaced it was discovered the mirrors were after market and the replacement was a mismatch. Parts person said he could find appropriate mirror. My wife and i both told them several times the mirror didn't have to match exactly but had to be black and have all sensors and safety features of our original. Parts man promised that it did. When it arrived it came out that it was an inferior Ford mirror that had already been discovered to be no good. It had none of the safety features or sensors. We were simply told we had been told it "might not have all the features and all sales are final" , both of which were bald faced lies. We were sent off with a dashboard full of error messages and a $1200 bill and basically an " oh well" response . Tried to contact management and were blown off. Finally after a year was contacted by new mgmt that said they would get back. Only after a bad review did they ever answer and that they had tried ( a lie) and basically get over it. My advice is to never do business with this dealership. read more

I recently purchased a used Lexus from Jack Schmitt. The process was painless and smooth due to the excellent service from Todd Kentarvius. The car strangely went up in price between the time I inquired about it and the time I got to test drive it-they honored the lower price without dickering, also one of the tire sensors needed to be replaced. The service took all day but they did take care of it without charge. I definitely recommend Jack Schmitt and especially Todd Kentarvius. read more

The service department is a scam. They couldn't even diagnose my car because they failed to realize that it was out of gas. They didn't bother to put it back together and kept important parts. They treated me like *hit and charged me $200 to keep my parts and tell me my car wouldn't run without a costly repair. I put gas and a new battery in my car and drove it home. I had to ask them to give me my battery back. I noticed later that other parts were missing and hadn't been returned and the car was mishandled. This is my first new car and they treated it like a piece of junk. I do not recommend them for service. No stars. Scammed still wondering why they charged me 196.00 Weber Ford charges only 99.00 for a diagnostic scan. Well they didn't scan my car and they left it under put back together so why $200? SCAMMED! read more

I brought my car to Jack Schmitt Ford as another dealership just couldn't find the time or energy to deal with my still under warranty Bronco Sport. Dan and the crew at Jack Schmitt Ford not only made a major inconvenience go away quite simply, but they also have taken care of a couple of things that the other dealership could never make happen. I was a Chevy owner for years. Then a Cadillac owner for years. Jack Schmitt was always my go to place, with Les and Ryan. They made all service appointments pleasant. Communication was always superb!!! Thank you Dan for making my Ford experience positive again!!! read more

We were in the market for a good used car for our teenage son and Chris Belesi took care of us and was an awesome salesman. He was low pressure and worked with us to find the right car that fit our needs. We'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more

I had a pretty weird experience at this dealership today. I test drove a used Prius, chatted with the salesman and wanted to talk numbers with the finance folks. Let me stop there and say Chris the salesman was great, this review is completely independent of him and that interaction. When I initially met the finance guy (wish I could remember his name because he's a royal a$$), he seemed super nice and we chatted about being veterans. He then asked why I was even trading my car when I work from home and I said I was interested in a more environmentally friendly vehicle (I was looking at a Prius). He went back to crunch numbers and warranties and said he'd come get me shortly. When he took me back to discuss the rates they were willing to offer and what my payments would look like (which were close to my bottom line and they did look fine, I just didn't feel 100% ready to pull the trigger) I said ok great I'm not sure how I feel about it right now let me sleep on it and we'll go from there. That seems like a normal situation as I am potentially going to be spending $20k plus of my hard earned money and I think that warrants a pause and regroup, (not that I owe any explanation but there it is). INSTEAD, this man proceeds to ask me WHY I want to sleep on it, what I'm even doing there if I'm "unsure", and how we even got to that point if I didn't know whether or not I wanted to buy. He kept saying "Well what just happened?" and was being VERY defensive and, basically, trying to bully me into making me feel like I wasted his time. I finally said regardless of what I'm feeling or why I want to sleep on it, this whole reaction DEFINITELY has me unsure now and I'm going to go ahead and go. He tried to backtrack and say I misunderstood him, he's just trying to understand, etc. but ultimately I think he thought I'd cave and leave with the car and that wasn't happening. Too bad because the sales guy Chris was great but I'll never give them a dime of my money, ever. read more

Strange experience. I was ready to purchase a truck. Offered to pay cash for majority of purchase and finance a few thousand for a week then pay it off. Salesman advised this was not possible. Said I needed to make a very small down payment and carry a loan for at least 6 months. What? Salesman had tacked on a VIN ID package which I had no interest in. Salesman said it was mandatory, (which is a lie). Finance/ Manager showed up, expressed no interest in Cash/ finance and blew me off. Shady dealership. I would avoid this place like the plague. read more

i saw a used truck online that i was really interested in and called monday morning to see if it was still available. i was told it was and made an appointment to test drive at 4pm. got a text message confirming test drive and responded back i would be there. now mind you, i live in st louis and it was a 45 minute drive to get to the dealership. once i arrived i was told dave rees, whom i had messaged about the test drive, was across the street in the used car building. upon entering the building there was one guy sitting at a cubicle looking at his phone and he didnt bother to acknowledge me. i walked all around the building before returning to the man i saw upon entering. i said i had a test drive scheduled with dan rees and he replied, that's me. so i sat at his desk, gave him my license and insurance card as requested. i sat there for 2o minutes without dan saying a word. i finally asked him what was going on, i was only there for a test drive. he then asked me if i could look up the stock # on my phone. i could not look it up for him and he finally made a phone call and tells me the vehicle was sold. not a i'm sorry, do you want to look at something else. i swear to god he said absolutely nothing!! i was as mad as i have been in my life and i am as easy going as they come. if he had just acted like he gave a shit i would have left not mad. if this is an indication of how they operate (look at the other reviews) i would stay clear. i will never be back!!!!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I inquired on a car on a Saturday afternoon and couldn't make it there before they closed (in an hour) but told them I planned to be there Monday. I got a call Monday morning that the car had sold late Saturday (In an hour?) Anyways- I told them I appreciated the call as it is an hour drive for me to get there. Fast-forward to friday- I got a phone call that the car was in fact available and that the sale on Saturday had fallen through. Not sure why it took 4 days for them to contact me, but none the less I was excited as I really liked the car. I told the sales man I could be there at 5 but asked that he please call me before hand to verify it was still available as it was an hour drive for me. 4pm I got the call so I headed that way. An hour later- I met the salesman, who showed me the car, took my license and insurance cars inside for copies before I took it for a test drive. As he approached the car to hand me back my ID he told me the car was in fact sold and the credit check had just come back on someone who made an offer on it earlier in the afternoon. Of course my response was why in the world did you tell me it was available?? The response I got was 'this happens all the time'. Thanks for lying and wasting 2 hours of my day A-holes. read more

Quick service, went in for a check engine light and a recall. They got it fixed in just over an hour.

Terrible experience buying a vehicle. It's been a lemon for sure. Things started going wrong after a month.

Bad business. They emailed me a price for a truck so I drove out on my birthday vacation weekend to get the truck and all of a sudden they want $5k more and say there was a computer glitch in the system and there's nothing they can do about it. read more

Crystal Cannon was very helpful and really knows her stuff. She helped my nephew find a good used car. Also, when we were waiting for the finance guy, i asked to have my car washed since i bought a car here 3 months prior. There were 3 other salesmen sitting there and all i was told that Crystal will take care of it. I was amazed they didn't get off their lazy butts and do it themselves. Crystal was across the street finalizing my nephew's sale. She's a one woman shop there as far as i can see. You better not lose her! You'll lose a lot of sales if you lose her. She's upbeat, friendly and a very hard worker. read more

Arrived this morning for service, I was greeted by the nice staff, I went in today to get a oil & filter change with a tire rotation. Service Advisor Mr. Paule, told me that an oil change and a tire rotation will cost me $29.99 and that "the price is always the same". A little over an 1 hr I received a phone call that my vehicle was finished being serviced.( Not a bad Wait) Mr Paule then gives me my invoice it was $55.55!!?? I asked him to give me a breakdown of the charges he then gave me a weird look as if he was confused to what I referring to.. but anyway, he then explained that I also was charged for parts and labor?? Why did he not tell me it was going to be $50 initially?? Never again. I'll change my oil myself. How do you not value honesty to your customers?? read more

I bought my truck, brand new, in 2015. I never received what was supposed to be a package of coupons and services. In 3 years I have literally NEVER been able to get in for an oil change or service. There's always an excuse and a very LAZY service manager explaining why they are booked up for a week or two. It literally never fails. Most of the people here are rude and uninterested in helping. My truck has been amazing, couldn't be happier with it. I just wish the I could say the same about the dealership itself. Go somewhere else, there are many BETTER options in the area. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. It's taken me over a month to write this review. I get pissed every day that I drive by and see the car that I was interested in still sitting on their lot. First of all their used lot set up sucks. Parked next to the car I wanted to test drive (makes sense right!!) Then waited for 10 minutes for someone to approach and ask if I had questions- NOPE. Decided I would walk over to their little building and ask for help( horrible way to do business it was HOT and their blacktop is all jacked up. Was greeted by a friendly lady who apparently was busy engaging another guest. She asked if I needed help- I said yes and she walked me in to talk to the "sales guy". I said Hi and asked if I could take a look at the car I was interested in. He said "Sure give me your Drivers License and Insurance card" I said I just want to take a look at it first. "Well your going to want to drive it aren't you". Ok at this point I'm already annoyed because the DUDE WAS SO RUDE. But I was like .. I'm going to buy this car anyway so FINE. Then I realize that I left my info in my car that is parked next to the ONE that I want to look at ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE LOT. THE DUDE LOOKS AT ME AND SAYS "WELL GO GET IT and we can get started". I said it's all the way across the lot.. you really want to WALK ALL THE WAY BACK OVER THERE AND COME BACK WITH MY INFO?? And he SLOWLY SAYS.... YES. WOW!!!! OK!!! NO THANKS -... KEEP YOUR CAR BRO!!! Still makes me ANGRY every time I think about it. read more

The service manager never called me back after they charged me 300 dollars just to look at the truck. They told me my truck was not fixable and yet a mechanic fixed my suspension for a few hundred dollars. This service center is crooked. Don't let them fool you. Do NOT take your vehicle there. I will he making sure to post this on all of my social media accounts. I do not like being taken advantage of. Do not buy from them either. I would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely the WORST car buying experience EVER! Purchased in winter, only to discover the air cond. did not work. Busted coil spring that I requested they look at and was told that it was fine. I purchased a 2017 Ford Explorer for my wife to replace our aging minivan. I could not have been more pleased with our experience, especially with our salesmen Jim Smith. This is the 3rd Ford we have bought from Jim. He spent a great deal of time working to get us what my wife was looking for, even going as far as to work with the network of Ford dealers in the area to arrange for a vehicle trade. We had to expand our budget a bit, but Jim and the finance guys did everything they could to get as close to my budget as possible. Yesterday I was a bummed out owner of a 2009 Chevy Aveo. Today, thanks to Travis Bricker I am the proud owner of a 2014 Ford Escape. When I initially called Jack Schmitt I informed the gentleman on the other side that I have walked away from 4 other dealerships in St. Louis and refuse to work with anyone who was pushy, impatient, or rude. The gentleman introduced himself as Travis and assured me he was patient, no pressure, and certainly not rude. I am delighted to say that he was true to his word. I will happily recommend any friends and family to Travis and the Jack Schmitt family. read more

We just left Jack Schmitt, and my girlfriend is now the happy owner of a 2014 Ford Escape. She asked for someone patient and friendly, and Travis Bricker fit that description perfectly! Don't bother. I was told to get the online price I had to finance thru them. I asked if they could match the rate from the credit union. They said they had to check. So the finance guy call us into his office and has all the paperwork drawn up with their finance company....at a higher rate than I had from my bank. Didn't give me the opportunity to turn it down and just pay the extra 1000.00 if I went with my bank. To top it off he had already figured in 2400.00 for an extended warranty without even asking me if I wanted it. I declined the warranty and he talked to me like I was an idiot for not wanting the warranty. The finance guy is an ass. I did their financing to get my 1000.00 discount and before I made a payment refinanced at 2 % less rate with my bank. I'd suggest you not bother going there. read more

Not satisfied with MY Jack Schmitt service department visit. Didn't seem to want to help me with my OEM Ford parts, since I didn't buy the parts there the price for installing them almost doubled. What I wanted assistance with was to have the service department merely activate the remote start function on my 2014 F150. I purchased a genuine Ford remote start kit on line (because it was almost $100 cheaper than purchasing it from Jack Schmitt). Nice markup for them huh? In fact I had already installed the antenna and antenna module. Had the key cut and programmed to my truck. All they had to do was plug in the IDS tool to do this. I made an appointment and was told the minimum fee for pulling my truck into the service department was $100. I could live with that then I got a call back from the service department and was told it would cost $149. More markup. The action I wanted them to perform would have taken about 15 minutes. Does that sound like a fair price to you? me either... read more

Just as a heads up to anyone looking to buy a car from Jack Schmitt: be careful. They engage in bait and switch tactics. We found a car we liked in their online inventory. We called before we drove out there to verify it was still there and at the price listed. The salesperson assured us it was there, at that price, and that they would have it ready for us to test drive. We got there about 30 minutes later, test drove the vehicle, and then "whoops!", the one we test drove was $15k more than the one listed online. That one - the one that was online - they said, was just sold. Whatever. Don't waste your time at this dealership. read more
