The older, female Hispanic cashier (at this Jack in the Box location) was rude. She may be the manager, which makes it even worse. I ordered 2 monster tacos. I was given 2 taco sauce packets and asked for some more. In an annoying tone, she asked how many more I wanted. I said 4. Then as she handed them to me, she uttered under her breath "it's only 2 tacos". She acted like I insulted her. She didn't pay for those taco sauces, so I don't know what her problem was. I doubt I'm the first customer who has experienced her rudeness. I moved to Torrance ~10 years ago and over the years, have been coming to this location on a consistent basis. Other than her, the rest of the staff have been great and nice. Over taco sauce packets, that costs a few cents, she lost me as a regular customer. Check your orders when they give you your food before leaving. We went through the drive thru and ordered two items for breakfast. They got both items wrong, not even remotely close to what we ordered. Wished we opened up each order to check but we were in a hurry. One we got the supreme sourdough, got the supreme croissant. Our platter was missing the bacon. They ask you to check that your order is right on the screen when you order, but I guess they don't have their employees check them when they're making its. When I walked in I notice they were mopping and so I asked the worker if I could continue & she said yes just to be careful so I did. This is 2nd Jack I've been to in South Bay, other on PCH near Western. Both are just terrible. As they're franchised owned, I know they can only be as good as the management. Each store is different. I've had great jack food but so far, not in South Bay. I just got the app and tried to order before walking in. They don't have a way to pay in store so I went into the woman said she knows nothing about the app, which is very poor customer service. It also meant that if I wanted the offered promos I had to put inaccurate credit card. McDonald's has a better system where you can use the app on kiosks inside and pay inside. All specials are available this way. Just a suggestion. Two tacos for $0.99. Don't bother. Rolled flat and nothing inside. What is there tastes pretty bad. Ate one only. Jumbo jack I had to send back as I specifically said no mayo, ketchup or mustard. Only lettuce, tomato and onion. Got that fast, maybe because they didn't spend the time to put n the onion? It, too, was tasteless but edible. I used my own salt with their teriyaki. I prefer burgers elsewhere BY FAR. The best was the one large egg roll but it needed the soy sauce and mustard I ordered but did not get. I saved it for last and it was still warm and crispy. Insides had a decent flavor but just not complete for my tastebuds. I was here 5:30-6pm and dead. Maybe six or so and drive thru slow. I have to wonder why. No i don't. I'll never come back here. I placed an online order right before I got here. When I arrived, I waited at the counter for several minutes before someone finally helped me out. He told me that my order wasn't ready and that he'd call me when it was. So I went to sit down and waited 15-20 minutes. I finally went back to the counter and the same guy asked me if I was waiting for something (does he have short-term memory loss?). A week later I was emailed and told someone would contact me soon. Today I received an emailed survey asking whether the contact had resolved my issue - even though no one has contacted me to resolve the issue. In a word: NO! Here's a free lesson, Jack in the Box. You've already inconvenienced your customer by giving them inedible food in exchange for their hard-earned money. Further inconveniencing the customer by having them complete meaningless complaint forms and surveys, without you making the slightest effort to resolve the issue; merely angers them further. It only makes matters worse when you post reference to a fake, nonexistent resolution process here. Torrance Food Crawl #248 This Jack in the Box has been here for decades. When the adjoining shopping center at the corner of Sepulveda & Cabrillo was torn down and replaced by condos I thought the JitB would also be replaced. But it wasn't and it now sits on a corner, tucked to the side of the large condo development. Rather than go for a burger I chose a salad, the Southwest Chicken Salad. The main bed of the salad was comprised of three types of lettuce, all fresh. On top of that were two pieces of grilled chicken (optionally one can have crispy chicken). I'm used to chicken being cut up into smaller pieces in a chicken salad, and would prefer it that way, but the chicken was easy enough to eat from the two big chunks. Stacked on top of the greens in the four corners, were sweet cold corn kernels, grape tomatoes, black beans, and cheese. Optionally on top one can add small corn sticks to provide some crunch and a southwestern style dressing that had a very light taste of chilis. Its a decent salad, not something I would normally order, but a nice change of pace. I also tried two of the Jack tacos, the Monster Taco and their 'regular' taco which come in pairs. The tacos were surprisingly similar, the monster taco basically being just a larger version of the regular taco. The meat product in the tacos was corporately bland. The liberal use of hot sauce packets helped make the tacos more acceptable. Not great or good, but they are what they are. On Sunday afternoon everything was clean and service in the restaurant was good. Soda service is from a Coke Freestyle machine, which I've grown to appreciate the more I see the freestyle machines. read more

As commonly stated, "If I could give this place less than 0 stars, I would." I was disgusted by how this place was run. Came around 12:10am for a late night snack which took approximately 30 minutes to receive even by ordering in advance via the Jack in the Box app. I wondered why the line was moving so slow, I had assumed maybe the people in front of me had bigger orders. Upon reaching the very front, it was clear and visible that there was a woman working all on her own. She was multi-tasking between taking orders, cooking the food, cash register and cleaning up. What broke my heart in this moment is that the poor woman had no teammate to help or support her. The drive thru line just kept getting longer and people kept tossing orders on her. Why did she not have a single teammate to help her? I understand that people might call in sick. But this is why scheduling needs to be revised. There should not be a 1 person team to serve a line of 20+ hungry people late at night. Unbelievably heartbreaking. Horrible customer service. Took about 10 minutes to get the order of the car in front of us and another 15 minutes to get our order. They placed a trainee on the drive through without training her in the "new system". When we got to the window and said that she should get more help, she quickly responded with "it's not my fault, they put me here and didn't train me on the new system". That's right! 5 stars for Jack! I have been making many late night visits here lately as i have been working the late shift and my tum tum is always rumbling when I get off. Along with their new snazzy updated logo and facade Jacks service has gone through some major upgrading. I have gotten the best service lately from Jack in the Box and I am quite impressed. Extremely thorough efficient and super polite service. Even at the wee hours of the morning. They double check your order several times, they ask how their service was and they tell you thank you and that they hope you enjoy. I have even been getting a good night and a safe drive home. Now that's service! And not the kind you expect from a huge chain let alone in the drive thru but I'm happy they are dishing out service of that level. Bravo Jack and keep up the good work! Those 99 cents chicken sammies...you know the ones that remind you of the ones you would get at the cafeteria in elementary school, yeah those ones....they get me every time. Worst experience I have ever had. I ordered on their app. I have done this many, many times. On Sept 21st I ordered quite a few things for 3 of us. One item was 8 tacos. When I got to the store I was informed they were out of tacos. Not that big of a deal. Ok I say, what can I get instead? They said they couldn't replace the tacos with anything. I said we'll I paid for them already can I please get a refund then? No. No? So I ordered food, paid for food and you don't have it and there is nothing you can do? That's right. Since you ordered on the app we can't help you. Wait, what? Are you serious? Yes. Well, what can I do? Call the survey number on your receipt. I did that. Went through their whole process. Said yes I wanted to be contacted in person. I then went to their Facebook messenger and told my problem their. They got back to me with an auto response and asked if I wanted to be contacted by a District Manager if so to send my email and cell #. I did that. A week later I finally received an email. Opened it up and it was asking me to complete a survey on how they handled my issue. Seriosly!? I did their survey. Told them I had never been contacted and that they still have my money they stole. Asked that I be contacted in person. Still no response. I was told by a friend that I should contact them through their app contact page. I did that. Went through that whole process and it said someone would be in contact with me within a couple of days. That was 5 days ago now. It has now been 23 days since they stole my money. I have now asked on four different platforms to please resolve my problem and still no contact. I can not believe they care so little about their customers.
