I stopped here to pick up something to eat around 2:30pm because I hadn't eaten since 8am All I wanted was a burger with no sides (fries and drink). I was surprised to see an employee at the speaker box because the line wasn't long. But maybe the speaker box was inoperable. In any case I told the young man that I wanted an ultimate bacon cheeseburger with no mayo. He said, ultimate cheeseburger, no mayo. I repeated myself with ultimate bacon cheeseburger, no mayo' But I guess I didn't realize he still didn't get it right and called in an ultimate cheeseburger, no mayo. So at the window, I guess I assumed the young lady got it right (but why would she) when she handed me an ultimate cheeseburger,no mayo and took my card. I drove away and while waiting for the red light to change, I took out my hamburger and took two bites. It was then that I realized there was no bacon in my ultimate bacon cheeseburger. So I returned to Jack in the Box and went through the drive-through line again for the young man was still standing. I gave him the hamburger and told him I had ordered an ultimate bacon cheeseburger. He proceeded to tell me that he repeated back to me, Ultimate cheeseburger, and that I agreed. So he told me to wait a minute while he called and talked to the young lady at the window and then told me to go ahead and drive through to the window, which I did. I handed the young lady my hamburger she told me it would be $1.09 more and I gave her my hamburger and $1.09. She gave me back my hamburger with my two bites out of it and bacon strips in it I drove away. So now I'm wondering, was this really my fault or was it theirs? I have to admit my mind was preoccupied with the passing of my beloved dog yesterday and maybe that's why I didn't hear the young man repeat to me incorrectly. The order that I gave him multiple times. Maybe it's my fault that I didn't hear the young lady tell me the incorrect sandwich. Maybe I was just too preoccupied morning the loss of my beloved dog. So I took the hamburger home and didn't eat it. When I go back to this Jack in the Box again? Probably not. I felt that I was wrongly treated because they accuse me of not paying attention to them when they repeated the order back to me when in fact, they were the ones that did not pay attention when I told them exactly what I wanted not once but twice maybe three times that I wanted an ultimate bacon cheeseburger with no mayo. FRIENDLY Late Night Service! Stopped for a quick bite after not eating dinner earlier and the Loaded Breakfast Sandwich hit the spot. The hash browns at Jack in the Box are also a guilty pleasure of mine. Everything tasted good! I went after 10pm so there wasn't a line in the drive-thru. The Jack is pretty lonely so I wouldn't recommend eating in your car as some creeps may walk around it, who knows? The guy at the window was patient and polite, the staff vibes were good. My only complaint is that we had to park up front and wait for our food even though we were the only customer. Not sure how that happened but it did, our order wasn't large. Ordered one of their new Padillos (subs) today. I asked if it was hot, was told "yes". It was served ice cold, rubbery bread and bacon, and bone dry. The nastiest Sandwich I've ever had. When I got home and called to complain about it, the manager told me that the bread is "toasted", I told her it was cold and rubbery, she insisted it was "toasted", This went on stupidly Back and forth, until I had to threaten to drive down there and show her how it REALLY was. She was stubborn to the point of being stupid. Does the pic below look TOASTED? Does it have mayo or any kind of dressing? Yes, because I put some on when I got home, then fed it to the dogs. This is the second time I've been to this location at the drive thru and they forgot to give my card back. What's even worse is this time they used my card for a second transaction. The shadiest part of all is when I went back to ask for my card they apparently couldn't find it, that is until I told them I'm pretty sure I never got it back because I got charged for another item. After a ridiculously rude manager at the KFC down the street on Florida ticked me off, I ended up going to Jack-in-the-box on Sanderson/Esplanade instead. The drive through window clerk was friendly and everything seemed pleasant: however, when I got back to the house, I realized I didn't get the taco sauce I had asked for. So, I called on my way back to get the sauce. The manager, Jennifer I think, said they'd just make me four new ones, since they were probably cold. When I got there, they made them and she even gave me a large soda cup to get a soda for my trouble. She even remembered me from the last time because I was wearing a Veterans Suicide Prevention t-shirt the previous time and she had asked if I was in the military and I remembered her son is also in the Air Force.. Overall, it was a really good experience and I will be back. It's always busy here, but that's a sign of good food. Such a big difference in customer service. For several months, this place has been a bit off key. Used to be superb in service and mistakes were bare to none maybe, 2 years ago and beyond. But now it's pretty bad. Self awareness is the big issue. Don't be surprised if you pay cash, and they forget to give you change back, this Ive caught 6 times this year alone. Also, they WILL NOT read orders correctly that well. Menu says big box on an item, they'll little it without thought, like that Popcorn Chicken. Will also forget your drink alot. As a true foodie I can't give fast food places a 5-star rating but this place is trying really hard!! I cannot believe how amazing our experience was from start to finish! First off the restaurant is so clean inside and completely remodeled! It's the nicest JITB I have ever seen! When we came in we were immediately greeted by the cashier and welcomed! That was great! We haven't been to JITB for a while so we asked for suggestions and she ran down some of the new popular items as well as some of her personal faves! I think her name was Brittney (sorry if I spelled it wrong). She was outstanding! Very nice and patient while we picked through the menu! Our food was fresh and yummy! It's of course cheap fast food, but it was presented on trays and brought out to our table! However I will say that they have much better buns than they used to and there was care put in to the presentation of the food! We complimented the cashier on our way out and made sure to let them know what a great job they are doing! I'm sure they don't get that much, as people never seem to let you know when you're doing something right....only when you screw up and they try to tear you down! (Only about this location and management) as someone who knows this place very well I can tell you for a fact that most workers are great but due to the mistreatment they are subjected day in and day out from management they just lose their smiles their motivation from getting yelled at to being forced to stay late and not even being given all of their breaks and forced to sign a paperwork that says they get all their breaks. Being forced to work when you're sick even though you're puking and when you ask to go home they yell at you and say no just go on a break and when you refuse to do that they'll write you up even though you beg them to ask a manager to go home because you are sick. When their managers are on vacation if you so much as even try to call off you'll get suspended no matter what. When a family member dies, well it isn't their fault and you can't inconvenience them by having even a day off to grieve. They allow team leaders to harass the workers and they don't correct their behavior at best they change the workers schedule to stop hearing the complaints. I really hope they have gotten things in a better place since I quit but talking to former coworkers I highly doubt it. They would go as far as they could to make a dollar even when we legally should have closes, for example having no hot water or the water getting turned off and on when it was being worked on. There arent very many options in this side of San Jacinto so I find myself coming here often. With that said its always clean..bathrooms too! Servers are always freindly and MOST important is I can get breakfast here any time of day :) I recommend the sausage egg and cheese biscuit combo with a side of mini pancakes and the coffee is always fresh. read more
