Came here for drunchies after CA Academy of Sciences after dark. We were very grateful that this was 24-hour spot. The line slowly built when we were inside but the wait after ordering took around 15min for 5 people. Not bad at all. It's a bit hard to hear/speak with the plastic barrier and the cashier got our sandwich wrong. It's okay though. This is standard Jack in the Box food so I don't know how else you can judge it besides the fact that it was typical, messily-made fast food. The $6 munchies meal is a great deal. We got the chicken croissant sandwich and mini tacos (which taste literally the same as the regular tacos but much smaller). The cashiers hooked it up with extra ranch and a big drink! This was my first visit to a Jack In The Box location. Overall, it was a quick and reasonably priced option for solid fast food. The portions were good, which made up for two burgers, an order of fries, and a drink being almost $20 (I mean, this is fast food). The service was fine, and the atmosphere was as expected, although a little on the sketchy side. I went with the Classic Buttery Jack, and my significant other opted for the Classic Buttery Jack and regular fries. The food came out hot and fast, and we struggled to find a table that was not occupied or was clean. The fries and burgers were good, well above McDonald's-level quality but still fast food. The sauce on the burgers was interesting - not bad, just unexpected. My significant other enjoyed the sauce more than I did, but I didn't dislike it. I would eat at Jack In The Box again, but would probably choose another of their burgers, maybe something on sourdough. Jack In The Box was the closest fast food joint from my hotel, literally one or two blocks down. I needed a bite to eat because I such a huge tourist earlier in the day. This location picks up some interesting folks. There was this gentleman that was paying and said he printed up the money he was handing the cashier himself. The cashier took the money. The cashier wouldn't allow him to make the purchase and called the police. I order a burger combo, which took forever. JITB advertises that they don't make their burger until you order it. It only took a couple minutes for me to get to my hotel room and that burger was not hot at all. Even if it took me 5-minutes to walk to my hotel and take the elevator up, that burger shouldn't have been the temperature it was. This Jack in the Box is located in the union square center prices reasonable for burgers of the fast food variety compared to Carls Jr in the tenderloin. They get real busy in the store. Food came up pretty quickly but all orders whether said in dining or not are packed in to go bags. Has free Wi-Fi inside but you will see a health care tax and bag fee on your receipt. Fyi you can bring your own bag and avoid the fee saw a note on the order window that you have to let them know in advance. Seating ok. DoorDash and Uber eats drivers a plenty in here they seem to be frustrated because the orders may take longer than the order time quota is off. read more

The Filipino person with short hair that takes orders has been here for a long time and they run a tight ship. I see that they keep the back of the store very clean as I watch them make my tacos.
