Yup, it's a Jack-in-the-box. I don't need to describe the food - you already know what to expect right? I will say that I don't believe that this particular JITB has ever screwed up my order, so I'll give 'em a bonus star for accuracy. Eat here over the nearby McDonalds. Food is usually hot and seemingly fresh. Totally don't hate. read more

The food is always fresh and good however, the employees still your receipt points for the app so make sure that you get your receipt and then if you notice your points have already been stolen. You need to turn them in!!!! read more

They randomly won't take orders, due to the "volume of mobile orders" and that's if they're even open. 10/10 would not recommend this place. Wish I could give no stars. read more

The female with long brown hair on drive-thru at night is just so rude. We are evidently all a pain in her butt why does this location and ONLY this one take so long and then, after 20-30 minutes in line, they park ALL delivery drivers? Cost us money and have an attitude with customers for being there. Get over yourselves, no one forced you to make your life choices. There has been no one but us drivers for 10 minutes and I'm watching those 2 stand around thru the window. Really? read more

We are STILL waiting in drive thru. 30 minutes now!!!!! I am so pissed. I am. It going to leave now. I will keep waiting. Maybe get a meal. But the food better be at least decent. NOT HAPPY read more

It took 30 minutes to get our food . It wasn't even busy at all either . That's an incredibly long time to wait for fast food . Everyone that ordered waited that long and everyone was wondering what was taking so long . read more

Ordered tacos and an ice water - the kid had me park in the front even though no one was behind me or no wait or anyone else in the restaurant- the kid and the cook come out to bring me my food - hand me my food - say nothing - and pull out their marijuana vape pens and start smoking at the entrance - I guess I was their excuse to go outside and smoke marijuana instead of work. read more

Never open? I understand the staffing crisis post covid... but to not even indicate online or on phones that you're closed? There have also been multiple times that we go through the drive through and nobody answers the speaker but when we get to the windows there's someone there... they just say they're closing early due to lack of staff. Please just indicate this online or on your phones with a prompt saying you're closed? I also wonder if teenagers are running the locations and just not wanting to work. Today we saw cars in the lot and someone inside at 10:30am but nobody answering the drive through speaker or phones... very strange and annoying. read more

Can't stay to their hours to save their live, everyone they hire obviously doesn't want to work. This place is a disaster every-time I order from it, and the peopled attitudes are some of the worst I've ever seen read more

ordered a burger combo and didn't even get the burger. Just some soda and sad curly fries. I basically paid $6.00 for fries and a soda. my husband ordered the chili fries. It looked like vomit in a cup. i don't expect much because you get what you pay for, but at least give me all that I paid for. I couldn't even go back because I was in a hurry read more

For as much as I love the artery clogging Jack in the Crack, I don't love this place so much. Service has been subpar at best because they're constantly busy. I went once during the afternoon and even in the late night and they still had some sort of a line going on. Strange but true, I don't know what it is about this location that people keep coming back to. Its not as if the locale is all that great of an area and there is another Jack in the Crack just down the street (about 1 mile away) where there is rarely anyone ever waiting. I guess I'll just be heading down the street then. This wannabe Starbucks facade doesn't scare me. read more

I've got here about 100 times and it's always satisfied. Today it took a very long time to get through the line up to my window, like 20 minutes or so. I get to the window only to find out that they had just two people working. And you know what? The food slapped. Kudos to you two, I've worked in fast food service and I'd have walked out on my shift if there was only one other person working, y'all didn't deserve that. Promote these kids. read more

The parking lot is dark and all lights on the outside of the restaurant are turned off which is very unsafe. It looks closed during business hours. read more

Wow customer service was horrible I had a bad experience with the drive thru I was missing two things from my order. I got home and brought my kids there dinner and Went back I told drive thru teller in the drive thru and she told us that we were given the he missing items and when I asked for manager he was spoken over by the employee who had a fit saying we were lying. I came back to tell day manager and he said u guys want anything??No thanks just wanted tell you that worst customer service and food missing from order no matter where you are from, this restaurant is the worst Jack in box I have ever aten from read more

Got turned away from ordering through the drive because they were about to close in 30 minutes. Not sure if this is a new thing. They did allow the car that was in front of the car we were behind to order. The car in front of us and the three cars behind us were not allowed to order. read more

My standard for Jack in the Box -- as with all drive-through fast-food chains -- is against others in the same category. There's no way to rate a JITBox against a 5-star eatery, or a linen napkin brunch bistro. It's a Jack in the Box. But here's what counts: the food is fresh. the oil they fry in is fresh. The sodas are strong enough. The bathrooms are clean and functional. The wheelchair access is flawless. The counter help and drive thru servers are polite - if a little distracted. These places fill a necessary function when you're on the road -- and provide some consistency in an otherwise uncertain landscape.... It's not a gamble. It's straightforward. And they serve breakfast 24 hrs a day. -- which is the most reliable, chemically uncompromised menu no matter where you eat. -- an excellent corporate decision. And a Jack taco or a good hot dog are the last of the great guilty pleasures, as far as I'm concerned. read more

The service was poor and inattentive. The tables were dirty and the floor was sticky. The ice machine was broken. The soda machine had no carbonation. Our orders also were weren't right. We waited 20 minutes for one order. It was ridiculous. read more

This is the worst jack in the box I've ever been to. Leaving ingredients off of orders, forgetting food at the drive through. Phone doesn't even work and when it does, nobody ever answers it. read more

I get it its a fast food joint. Apparently teenage girl employees don't like customers, I was ready to order she just rolled her eyes at me that is just plain rude! Ignoring my questions like it was no one's business. The tables were wobally and sticky and so was parts of the floor. I think they need to stay in school and learn respect for other people. read more

I had a burger craving today. Despite steering clear of this chain for decades I thought I would give it a shot. I got the ultimate bacon cheese burger. It was one damn fine tasty burger. The patties were hot off an actual grill I think! I like how the reader board menu lists calorie info for each item right in the open. 990 delicious calories. read more

For fast food, this Jack in the Box does it well. They serve it up fast, hot, and cheap! The place is ALWAYS spotlessly clean, even the outside grounds! I have seen NO trash what so ever at this location and I walk by it almost daily. The service is always friendly and unlike other places, they are not stingy with their condiments, napkins, water cups, and other misc. items. It's also very easy to navigate in and out of this location. read more

Jack in the Box - Jack In The Box on Commercial Street in South Salem. - Fast Food Near Me - Salem, Oregon

I waited 10 minutes before someone finally took my order at the counter.

I eat fast food frequently. I am always pleased with the quality and service at the S. Commercial location. The restaurant is always clean and the food is served quickly and always freshly cooked. The staff at this location are very pleasant and on the ball. I highly recommend trying it If you haven't. read more

Who reviews fast food joints anyways? "We all know they're crap", you say. True indeed. But this is a special blend of crap. This is like crap with ignorance, unprofessional service, and old fetid mayonnaise carefully hand mixed into a ball of eating discomfort. Yes i admit i was stupid enough to go to a jack in the box, nail me to a freakin cross already. I suppose the food was all I could expect it to be. Ridiculously sized portions, low grade "meat", grease soaked fries. Bla bla. But what got me is I give them my card to swipe get my food and bam, i'm out. Later I find .. my card is missing. Get online, do some forensic analysis of my bank transactions and nail my last swipe to Jack in the Crack. Seriously? I left my car at the drive through window? Arn't they supposed to give it back to you the moment they swipe it to idiot proof your eating experience? Well they didn't, and i wasn't feeling particularly smart that day. Hey thanks for contacting me! thanks for calling my bank .. thanks for .. nothing jerks. My card would have decomposed there before I ever got wind of it. Poor thing sitting in a cold safe with all that greasy fat American money. So I call down, got any cards, yes we do (after some less than thrilling customer service), great i'll be down, swell. I get down there, it takes them a second of vacant staring to process something that isn't a food order and reclaim my card for me. "How could this possibly happen manager type person? I should get my card back the instant it is swiped", I ask the manager "type" thing. "Uh, i don't know", she graciously explains. Thanks for consoling me ma'am! It's alright i'm not fishing for a freebie. Then clearly not learning my lesson I order more food having had no success in eliciting the free meal response i was looking for. I'm not sure I've had such tasteless barely room temperature, poorly breaded chicken in my life before but those arn't normally the stellar occasions one pockets for later reminiscing. While eating my food sitting in the belly of the beast all I can hear is the outrageously inept manager yelling at the 5 employees it takes to screw in the proverbial light bulb about line tickets and orders. This isn't the manhattan project just reheat sludge, package, destroy cholesterol levels, repeat. Well there's my slam. It needed to go somewhere and I'm not one to piddle around with writing a letter to a company I will never ever patronize again. Enjoy. I only wish that under the "Accepts credit cards" part of the survey I could write in "but doesn't return them", or maybe under "good for" i could write in "nothing". I'm sure that will be future functionality. read more

I hate this place. My husband and I went there after we worked an overnight shift, and the cashier charged us for three orders. He put it back on, but it took two weeks. We had no money before pay day because he took out over $80. He didn't apologize, or make it up to us. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and I ate there again, but he always does something stupid. If I hear his voice, then I just say never mind. read more

First time here and The service was slow. My iced mocha didn't taste so great, basically chocolate milk.

The fries will be a combination of burnt abd soggy and undercooked. If the order is made right, it means you got the afternoon shift (morning and evening they keep burgers in a warmer and usually get orders wrong). My mistake was in giving them a sixth xhance, because I used to really like Jack in the Box. read more

At first look at the menu, I was like, "OMG they have grilled cheese!!!!" And then one bite into it...and I was like, "You got to be kidding me, this is worse than a Chinese Restaurant's grilled cheese." Seriously...not edible. Not even close. Ugh. The fries were OK...but nothing so special that you'd come back. No one I know comes here...so I'm left to ponder who exactly frequents this place? Who I wonder, who?!?! read more

It's Jack in the Box so if you are going there you know the food. Overall at this location they do a good job on the food. Their service is ok but a lot of times the employees behind the counter are taking loud and oblivious to how it sounds in the dining room. The bathrooms are most of the times really filthy. read more

This location is the worst. We have attempted to eat there twice now. Apparently unless you go through the drive thru you are not worthy of their service. We stood at the counter for 5 minutes with no acknowledgment from the staff. This happened on both occasions recently. And both times the staff saw us and despite being busy, not a word, like, " We will be right with you". Nothing. We have left both times and gone down the street to places that care if they make money. We will not be giving it a third chance. Horrible management. Horrible customer service. read more
