I like Jack in the box for more than one reason. They are the closest fast food breakfast chain, hence the attraction for a quick drive through or a pick up. This time it was the pick up because I desired the jumbo platter, something that was not on the on line menu. So I walked into the store and the server was more clueless than me and highly unfriendly. She said they did not have the platter. Then I saw it on the store menu and pointed it to her. No greeting. No smile. No empathy. No apology, Very disappointing. Just big tinw ATTITUDE. So, I got my jumbp platter and substituted the sugar filled french toast sticks with more egg. This breakfast food was good, but the customer service destroyed the experience. I have always wondered, If staff thing that they are doing a big favor by coming to work, they should stay home. So this place had terrible service a couple years ago and then got a new manager and it's been great ever since! However I don't know if there's new hires or what's going on bc I haven't seen the usual manager guy who's there the last couple times I've gone and it's back to not good service. Very miserable girl working there who doesn't even greet or say bye to customers. I told her bye have a nice day and she ignored me, like I don't understand why she's working customer service. Also annoying bc I came specifically for the Nashville mozzarella sticks and when I got home I realized they got my order wrong and gave me regular. Curly fries were also like border line burnt. I was surprise Jack in the Box is expensive. I only came to Jack in the Box to use my T-Mobile deal on the Jumbo Jack burger but today I stopped by to get something for my nephew since I was in the plaza visiting Amazon Fresh. I parked closer to there and walked to this Jack in the Box since it's all in a shared plaza. I got here before the lunch rush happen so the wait wasn't too bad. I got my nephew the bacon double sourdough smashed jack burger. When the cashier said my total, I was surprise because that's like a full meal pricel at another popular burger place I always go to. The inside of this place isn't that big but they have the soda machine that let you add flavors to whichever drink you want. I don't normally go to other Jack in the boxes because I usually just go to the one closest to us or closest to work meaning there are really only two locations I go to. But for whatever reason, this one was by far the worst I've been to. I'm giving it a 2 mainly because we were starving and food was edible. We only went to this location because it was on the way home from where we were at. We don't even live far, 10 min tops. But somehow the food was cold. Like, COLD. As if the food had been sitting out for hours. It was pretty sad and we were barely able to finish the food but we were literally so hungry that we just did it. The lady was patient with us at the drive thru since we were trying to find a bunch of different stuff to try and what not. But other than that, I can't even see any possibility on why the food would be cold. I actually also got their boba milk tea even though I know it's not good/made well at this type of place, but I ordered it anyway since I was desperate and wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Surprisingly the boba was chewy and not rock hard like the last two times I got it. However, their boba is still not perfected and is closer to "jelly" rather than tapioca pearls. I see a lot of reviews on here about orders being wrong. I've come here a handful of times and have never had a single thing be incorrect. The only negative is that there have been some times when it's taken quite awhile for my food to be ready. But honestly, that just meant that I knew it was going to be fresh so I will not complain about that one bit. I've also only ever done the drive thru so I cannot speak for the interior or the dine in experience. After having a late night at work, I offered to pick up some Jack in the box for my wife on my way home and stopped at our local one here. The guy taking and fulfilling orders at the window was super friendly and engaging, especially considering how late it was (1am). I did have to wait a few minutes, but I presumed there was likely a much smaller staff than daytime hours and things usually take a few minutes longer. I wasn't phased or in any particular hurry. The food came out, and I went on my way. Upon arriving at home a few minutes later to open my bag, each of the items we ordered were perfect representations of what you would see in a commercial. I'm a little sad I didn't take pictures of my food (as I vehemently despise being one of those folks always taking food pictures) because of how perfect these burgers looked AND tasted. The burger texture was perfect, the poppers had a bite and were perfectly crispy. Sometimes, the tacos can be a little soggy by the time you eat them a few minutes later, but these were crunchy from start to finish. Not to mention, the two special requests on one of the burgers was correct in our bag! Almost never heard of from fast food restaurants lately! I've never ordered breakfast here before, so I asked the lady on the speaker for the sandwich that has no ham. When I got to the window, I clarified that I just want the one with bacon, egg, and cheese. They gave me the correct order, but they still charged me a full price, did not remove the $2.70 price difference: called and spoke to Samantha, and she tried to justify it because I just "removed the ham" , when they have one that has bacon egg and cheese. The food here is always fresh and good not going to lie about that. However, the service here is not the business. The servers are always mercurial and no good personalities. They rush you half the time and they never can do nothing extra per request. I never really eat fast food but I do like the chicken sandwiches and tacos, they are so good I'm sure many can concur! Had to do it when you are West, got to Jack in the box and have a jumbo Jack and a taco. Drove through a near by Jack in the box. Not sure what it was like inside but had a great bite of nostalgia with a jumbo Jack with secret sauce and cheese. The 2nd thing to get are the tacos. It's indistinguishable meat with lettuce and some sauce but the great soaks into the bottom making it soft but the edges are crunchy and great. Ordered through the app. Like the convenience of the app because you can prepay. When I arrived the item was no longer available. They couldn't give me a refund. They told me to go through the app. Contacted customer service, they also wouldn't give me a refund but a free item for the future by showing the location the email. The reason why I use the app is to make it touchless. I do not enjoy giving people my phone especially during the pandemic. I requested a refund or a digital giftcard. Crickets.... Well, here we are again at Fast Food. I must be a glutton for digestive punishment. Lets start with the good: Pretty quick service, friendly staff, no drive-thru line. Now the bad: The food. Everything. Ever eat a fried taco shell that has been reheated? Their street tacos are like crunching down on mussel shells you found over on Leo Carrillo State Beach, absolutely tooth shattering. Next up, the soggy cold fries. Just the fries alone are sending people to Ralphs to buy a 10 pound bag of Russets saying to themselves "I know I can do better cooking it myself than this flop of a spud". And to finish, the Jack in the Box NASTY BURGER. Listen JITB, I know your employees want to be quick, hell, you probably threaten to fire them if they dont meet your stopwatch agenda, but let these workers actually cook the hamburgers. The absolute worst tasting hamburgers, like ever, even my dogs won't eat it. I don't usually do reviews on fast food joints. I had to make an exception for this location. The manager that was working at 10am on June 14th 2023 is amazing. Greeted and said thank you to every customer that walked in the door. Struck up conversations with the customers as they were waiting on their food. His staff is very friendly and they all had smiles on their faces. I've never seen this in a fast food setting. The manager was joking with his staff. DRIVE THROUGH MONEY SCAM CONFIRMED! I've been coming to this Jack in the Box for literally 30 years and recently I got home from drove through and wasn't sure if I got my change from drive through window. I checked my dash cam and confirmed I didn't. What happens is you pull up to the window and hand them say a $20 bill. The female cashier takes the money and them starts doing something else. Then hands you the food and and says thank you. She then walks away. I realized that I've been not getting my change. Tonight I did a test. I ordered $15 worth of food and gave the female Hispanic cashier about 55 years old a $100 bill. And sure enough she walks away for about 5 minutes and comes back with the food and quickly says thank you. As she's about to walk away I said hold on, where's my change? She gives me a dirty and then instantly produces $85 of change. I couldn't believe it. This has happened many times looking back. We've been coming to this Jack in the Box on and off for decades and that's no understatement. The sad news is that our high school days ended just as long ago and we no longer eat this fast food like we used to when being healthy was no concern. The good news about this location is the drive-thru is usually solid and they rarely mess up your order. And from time to time when so many other places are closed we will drive through here in the middle of the night. I'm actually just passing through and wanted to pick up some food via drive through & get back on the road. After scrolling through the reviews I was kind of hesitant of going through with my decision of picking Jack in the box ‍ Drive through staffer was polite!m while taking my order! Pulled up to drive through window and the gentleman was nice, repeated the order (correctly, mind you ) started with the drinks, then each bag. Because of the reviews I made it a point to review the bags before leaving the drive through to confirm that all of our food was present. My burger was made to perfection!!! The lettuce was fresh and crisp, as was the tomato!! My fries were freshly made as well, not overly sated and fry box was full to the top my sons kids chicken tenders had a nice crisp to them and were tasty as well.
