My guilty pleasure is Jack in the Box tacos. I get them once in a while at a different location and lately they haven't tasted very good, like maybe the oil they fry them in is not fresh. Today I got two tacos at the Los Gatos location and they tasted great! I forgot how delish they can be. My root beer was very good, too. I'm surprised by all of the poor reviews. The person who took my order today was very polite and accommodating, especially when I changed my drink order after she had rung me up. Scam. I come here often since I have been working in the area on a project for a little over a month. And I'll still come here but watch out for a lady who gives you smaller sizes than you order. I noticed before but it was too late since I ate my food, but it happened again today and she almost refused to give me the right size until I repeated my self 4 times and pulled out my receipt. Even after looking at the receipt she almost refused, until a lady with glasses who normally handles taking orders came to the front, then she even tells her, "he's saying I gave his order wrong" even though she did, I almost wanted to exchange my drink as well but I didn't get the right size but I didn't see it as worth it anymore rather than just watching out. Very disappointed at this Jack, they always seem to have issues with their sofa machine and are constantly out of flavors and diet versions of the soda. Today, in addition to not having any diet or flavored sodas, the tacos I ordered were cold and obviously sitting for a while. This has been a constant issue at this Jack and management does not seem to care to address the issue. I also ran into their phone not working so I could not inform them of my bad tacos. Ripoff. Outside, BOTH menus say onion rings are $3.39. Placed my order and got charger $4.69, 1/3 again as much!!! Asked the order taker and she said "tax", but when I got my receipt it had NOTHING to do with tax. Manager is "not there" so "can't" do anything. (Why isn't someone in charge???) Took a picture, showed the order taker, Yolanda F., and she walked off without a word. At the VERY LEAST she could have given me the manager's card. My wife and I stopped in as we like the burgers & chicken. We wanted to order for "dine-in" but when we went to the counter to place our order, the young lady it is required to enter the order using the computer screen. I'm highly technically competent and tried to enter our order. However, the user interface is poor as it seemed to demand that we order sauces and other extras we didn't want. I also didn't like how a combo meal was automatically upgraded to "Large" without asking for that. I am surprised today because I love this Jack in the Box. I ordered a #14 (a spicy chicken sandwich with cheese), the employee over the speaker said it all correct to me. He then handed me my food which now that I'm home I realize it's not what I ordered. I am disappointed because they literally put it in a spicy chicken sandwich box which is hilarious. I love this Jack in the Box because it's a drive thru and it's close to me. The service is also so friendly and welcoming. I've talked to several people who say they love the service at this Jack in the Box too. The sweet cream coffee with caramel is my favorite along with the jalapeño poppers and lemonade. I can't say much about the ambiance because I haven't been inside since high school but this has been my favorite fast food place since then. read more

It wasn't made yet, so I was okay with that. She did apologize for something. Maybe the laughter I'm not sure. But it made me uneasy. Want to know how to ruin a business well just watch this one implode. I've come in here over the years but yesterday was probably my last time. Drove into the drive through and waited several long minutes for someone to address the drive through. Finally I hear a voice asking for the order and get told there were no shakes. What? This location has gone way downhill and the employees here profile customers. You can't use the bathroom because they are too lazy to clean them. The restaurant is filthy inside. So I came here tonight for a quick lunch/dinner. Being that I was on my "lunch" break... I decided to go thru the drive thru and just take the food back to work and consume it there. I ordered two chicken sandwiches, med curley fries, and a med soda. When I pulled up to the drive thru, the cashier took my card, rang it up, handed me my soda, and then asked if I could pull around to the parking lot and that someone would take my food there. Huh? I thought this was a drive thru? Whats the point if I gotta go back around after? Well whatever...no biggy...so I pull out of Jack in the Box, onto the street, and then back into their parking lot (wierd design). I used to live right next to the Jack in my Box right after I graduated and have probably eaten here more than any other place in my life and enough for a few lifetimes. I actively avoid it because of that but sometimes you got to what's convenient and this location is convenient. I did enjoy their new (I think) Ribeye burger though, good stuff. read more

One of the worst thing about the bay area is that it's so expensive, it's hard to get any level of quality in people who work in these places for minimum wage. while i understand the level of staffing difficulty, it does not keep me from being shocked and disgusted. so one day, i am at this place, i order chicken strip deal with fries and drinks. so the girl at the cashier pushes bunch of numbers on her machine. then says "anything else"? i said "and i would like some stuffed jalepenos". she says "how many pieces? 3, or 5?" . i thought this was weird because i the numbers did not match the what's displayed on the menu. so i said, 'i don't understand, it menu says i can get this or that many pieces" and turns out she was asking me how many chicken pieces i wanted. i would have thought that after she asked me 'anything else', she had entered my first order.. but she did not. and she also did not get that i want the combo deal on my first order. so i had to make a 2nd order, and she acted as if i killed her baby. i made my 2nd order 'order of fries and a drink'.. and when the order came out, it was missing fries.. and i barked at her and said where are my fries? she did not order it for me.. so i had to order for 3rd time or just fries! 3 damn times. when the order came out, i got 7 pieces(and paid) of chicken strips, max number of stuff jalepones(i think like 9), LARGE fries, and medium drink. and that was way too damn much food (i was not paying attention to the pricing because it's fast food.. and few bucks i don't pay attention to). and they did not give me any sauces which i had to ask for, and they again acted like i killed their children. and finally got 2 ranch dressing for all my order.. i was just unhappy, but did not want to argue with the staff.. so i just took what ever.. ate about 1/3 of the food and left.. it takes special kind of idiots to be a screw up, but to have so much attitude. wow.. read more

My 4 year old son got food poisoning from the nugget meal i purchased for him at this location. He woke up form his sleep and was throwing up several times and had a fever. I do not recommend purchasing food from Jack in the Box for kids under 6 years old. Better off going to McDonalds. I hope this location closes, The town of Los Gatos deserves better. read more

The manager was being very disrespectful after he gave me the wrong order and I respectfully told him this isn't correct and he said 'it's the same thing' but it's clearly not the same thing if the customer ordered for something specific and jack in the box is doing something there way and not the costumers way. Instead of a clown when you turn the crank at this Jack in the Box-- out pops throw up! This is a review dedicated to our basketball coach. Two nights ago he went here and ordered his usual burger, curly fries and coke... apparently there was a little extra something on the burger-- he was as five shades paler than usual and throwing up during break time. I give Jake props for his work ethic and continuing practice....he looked better today (72 hours later)...but good lord! This is why the only thing I purchase that is food based in Los Gatos is anything from the Great Bear and Doci Spazzio on N. Santa Cruz Avenue....anything else is a toss up (sorry Jake-- no pun intended). If other people have had a good experience here let me know.. I will pass along the information to our bball coach... I'm not going to have cheesy potatoes for lunch, so I decided to take a risk and get the home style chicken ranch sandwich. I can't finish it. I'm so grossed out. I took about 3 bites and that's it. The chicken was like crunchy rubber! And has this slimy rubbery layer on top. You will see in the pic that I post the thin slimy layer and how much of my sandwich is left that I can't force myself to eat. So that was a waste of money and now I'm stuck at work, hungry. Where do I start? Everytime I come here my order is wrong, they are always out of condiments especially for egg rolls, ranch dressing etc. They close early at night more times than I can count. There is a manager there who is always in street clothes long hair just hanging uncovered around the food. There is a hispanic lady that works in the morning that can never get a order right.
