I've never been a Jack in the Box fan, but Mike absolutely loves this place. He thinks the tacos are the greatest fast food ever. Well, I finally tried them, and they are pretty dang good! Just make sure you add a packet of hot sauce. There isn't a Jack in the Box in Abilene, so when we come to DFW, we buy 20 each and take them home and put them in the freezer. My 20 will last a month. Mike's will last a week. He literally Inhales the tacos! They are completely different from Taco Bell or Taco Casa. If you haven't tried them, go get a couple. It's worth a try! read more

For a drive through at a fast food establishment, we waited for about 7 minutes before they even opened the window to take my payment. Then had to wait again for them to get our 2 drinks, then our food. They didn't give us the correct order, had to tell them what we had ordered again. Finally get our food and we are checking that we have everything, we questioned about one of the items, the lady who first gave us the wrong order gets snippy with me about it. Can I give negative stars? Stopped by on way back to SA coming from Snoop Dogg concert in South Austin. (Side note: AMAZING SHOW) It is impossible to take that long. I mean...we're talking 40-50 minutes for like 5-6 cars. And you can't get out of line the way the drive thru is setup. Luckily we were in a really good mood but we also eventually had to use bathroom. But like I said...you're stuck in drive thru with no way out. Wow. What happened Jack? We decided to get a burger for the first time in months and were SO disappointed. I ordered the Jumbo Jack. First of all I think I got the Jr instead of the regular. There was only one slice of cheese, and no onions to be found. The bun was SQUISHED to oblivion. Seriously top and bottom together might have totaled 1/8". The burger patty itself was cooked TO DEATH. Dry, dry, dry. My hubby had the sourdough Jack. His burger was also cooked to DEATH. Dry as the Sahara he said. The bread was barely toasted. Being the only fast food place open in town made for a slower than normal experience. Working in retail, I knew choosing to stop here where the drive thru line is wrapped around the building, it was going to take long to get my food. We ordered on the app and got down to wait. There were delivery drivers, customers and favor people waiting and waiting and being ugly to your workers about wait time. No one on your staff lost their cool and did everything possible to get us our food. I will always come here before McDonald's or Wendy's in kyle because their staff is garbage compared to yals. Sheesh! Hard to mess up a diet coke but when they don't have any ice in the lobby and you have to continuously ask for them to refill your cup with ice because their soda machines are syrupy or watery it makes for a bad time. I would try the drive-thru instead of going inside to eat. read more

I came here once and went through the drivethrough. As it was my turn to pull up to the window to pay/receive the food I ordered, I hear an employee shout to another (in what I presume to be the kitchen area) "that's f***ing disgusting!" This was enough for me to never return to this location again. That is the last thing anyone wants to hear when being handed food. I can only imagine what the employee must have been describing. I knew, I should've looked at Yelp versus Google. My spicy chicken tenders were garbage. The wait at the drive through was at least 15 mins, maybe even 20(keep in mind from order to window they can only fit maybe 5 cars?) Place looked a little filthy (straws on the floor,etc..) Our person was easily distracted correcting orders for the dining area. i.e., looked like he had to add a few more chicken strips to one order that was handed back and gave a burger to another order. Ive come here a couple times to feel out the vibe of this place (dine in and drive thru) and every time the service is good. I'm mean it's no fancy restaurant but for being a fast food joint it is ok. It never seems very busy so the waiting for the food is short. Too bad this place seems to be hiding between two buildings otherwise I'm sure it would be lined up. The food is pretty good and very consistent, nothing to complain about. Having not been to a J-in da Box, in many years, I was lured in by the new Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club commercial, that had just aired. I decided to eat at the business, and was surprised by the more modern aesthetics of this location. There was a strong use of metals in the design, and the windows had nice treatments. The restaurant was clean, and well kept. This establishment seemed very minimally staffed, and had a "Help Wanted" sign, but the service did not suffer. It did take longer than average for a fast food order, but I was rewarded with high quality, hot, and fresh food. The chicken patty was a little thinner than I had hoped for, but was tasty. The bun was perfectly toasted, the bacon was not overcooked, and the veggies on board were very high quality!! Was very surprised by that alone. The tomatoes, and lettuce were A+! The fries were hot, and crisp, and had minimal rejects. There must have been a push for higher quality from Jack, as I was impressed with this visit. read more

One star. Only visited for curly fries and a drink simply because my toddler son and I were waiting on my daughter and husband in next door dermatology. After a considerable wait with a squiggly son, the manager (Im assuming) asked me from the food line if I needed to be waited on or was waiting for food. After sharing with her the two small items we were waiting for, she bags the small curly fries for us and asks me again what the second item is I need. She tells me I wasn't charged for a coke, and after a silent moment between us steps up the register for me to make my soda purchase...at which point I was thinking "this is customer service?"..hmm, it's their mishap and my long wait and I'm left without an apology but rather a statement that presents itself as a suspicion of my integrity. We passed on the need for me and my son to ingest on the syrup brown fizz calls Cola and walked out feeling less than welcome but unfortunately with too much time to kill waiting for our family outside after. Bleh- if you need to kill time, just skip this place as an option and walk over to Target or Chik Fil A. This Jack In the Box has kind of dirty dining anyway. So, we bucked up and settled for jack in the box because there was NO LINE!! WORST DECISION EVER. The red flag should've raised when this only fast food place in my area that WASNT STUPID BUSY. The food was for lack of better words, pig slop. The best part was however, at night, both my husband and I got food poisoning. It was so fun waking up to throwing up. I work doordash and store hours are posted that they're open until one in the morning. However the "manager" claims that the store closes at twelve in the morning. She kindly explained that the store is closed due to an emergency and I understood that and in turn asked her to simply write out that the store was in fact closed for documentation purposes. She refused to help me out and I'm extremely unsatisfied with the customer service provided by this store. I had a coupon, so I stopped for lunch at this location. I did have to wait for a few minutes for my food, but it was worth it! I got fresh, hot fries and a fresh crunchy chicken burger (homestyle?). Where do I start? It IS Jack In The Box!!! You can't expect awesomeness but you can expect edible food at cheaper prices than other heart-stopping fast food joints! I like this JIB most times I go. The food is decent and the people at the drive through window are usually friendly. What I don't like is that EVERY single time I make an order at the drive-thru........they get it ALLLLLL wrong and I have to keep repeating it! I know I am speaking SLOWLY and I am speaking English!! I can't figure out how they can always get something totally different than what I am saying in my order!! Maybe they don't speak English? I have left the drive-thru more than once with things missing from my order. But, when I drive back around (I have learned to check my bag before hitting the road), they are always apologetic about it and get our missing item(s) quickly. Other than that, I won't complain. It IS Jack In The Box and quite honestly, I would rather go there than the other joints. Their tacos are things of question and wonder, but 2/$1..............hey, then............who am I to judge? First time visit to a Jack in the Box. Had to ask the drive thru guy to slow down his speech because I couldn't understand him. He did for one sentence. Asked about a menu item. What is it, what's on it. He spoke too fast again. Asked him to slow down again. Asked again what is on the sandwich. He told me about a special on the sandwich and how the price goes down after 9pm. Asked for a third time what is on the sandwich. He spoke too fast again. Asked him to slow down again and then he said " I think it has ranch and..." He was speaking too fast again for me to understand anything further in his sentence. Told him never mind, I changed my mind, I'm not going to get anything. There is NO WAY to get out of line for the drive they after trying to order. Had to wait in line 7 minutes for them to take care of the 2 cars in front of me before I could leave. This is the worst Jack in the Box in the history of Jacks in the Box. They are sloooooow no matter what time of day you go. They are almost always out of something. Usually, it's something vital like, say, HAMBURGER BUNS. How does a hamburger store run out of those? They have one of those stupid Coke Freestyle machines - to be fair, I guess all JITBs have these, not just this location. It could be that they're using gross Kyle water in the mix, but the drinks just taste nasty. We'll buy food here, then drive over to Sonic for drinks, they're that bad. But this experience takes the cake. My husband just tried to stop there on his way home from a late shift at work and they were inexplicably "temporarily closed" at 11:45 on a Sunday night.
