My family visits this location every time we go to Six Flags or to the beach. Conveniently located right off the freeway with a gas station right next door. Workers are always friendly. When we came on Saturday evening tables were clean. Service was alittle slow as took a while for someone to acknowledge us; a Hi we will be right with you would be helpful. Don't come here past midnight. They shut the drive through down for supposed maintenance and lunch breaks and apparently only have one person doing everything. They're rude past midnight as well. New Year 2025! Heading home from San Francisco and dropped by this Jack in the Box. My wife, daughter and I ordered a bunch of meals and decided to eat at the parking lot. Unknowingly, we didn't know we were missing the egg roll. But Christian, who took care of our order came by at our vehicle to inform us that we were missing one of our orders. I have nothing bad to report out after ordering through the drive thru. I swing on by during a weekday before the lunch crowd. It's an easy exit to make heading West on Interstate 80. It's off the Red Top Road exit in Fairfield, CA. It's been over a day since I ate here... I'm still standing ;D We ordered two tacos, value fries, 2 small kids burgers, and 3 piece jalapeño poppers, it totaled less than $10.50. The drive thru staff was awesome! Our food came out quickly, hot, and neatly assembled. The fries were crisp and salty ... yum, no complaints. The burgers were tasty. The taco tasted like the standard JITB tacos I've eaten elsewhere. I like the fact that they are close to where i live and that they open early morning and close late at night. I have placed at least 5 online orders here and so far no problems with how they fill my order. Pretty quick in handing it out of the window. Mgr finally asks first girl in line "can i help u?" She orders a #10 & then a customer from drive thru comes to counter and mad about messed up order. Mgr doesn't say excuse me to girl trying to order, she just addresses the drivethru customer. Doesnt finish w/girl and this drags on for 2-3 minutes. But because I had such a bad experience with the food at this location, I kept the receipt and made note to hopefully save other's from eating here. On our trip up to Tahoe I hadn't eaten and this place was next to the gas station we stopped at. I had high hopes, the place looked clean, the women staffing it cheery and not disheveled. But after getting on the road and starting to eat my food I found the chicken inside of my chicken fajita (380 calories) frozen. I'm not talking just slightly cold. Frozen. This has been one of my ultimate to go spots for a late night snack since I was 18 years old. My girls & would stop through here for our 2 for ,99 tacos, which are now 2 for $1.19. Still such a deal! I even remember when my mom would stop through here on her way home from church and buy $5.00 or $10.00 worth of tacos. Then when she got home, she would shred some lettuce, cut up some tomatoes, dice some onions, shred some mozzarella and cheddar, and of course the cut up avacados and jalapenos! And we would have a full on taco bar! Mom loved Jack In The Box tacos! How could you not, after doctoring them up so much! The great thing about this Jack In The Box is that I have never had anything but hot, made to order food from this place. And I've been coming to this one for like over 20 years! That is saying a whole lot! Even the tacos, which I have tasted at other JITBs, have always tasted fresh! I have been to others that didn't! The food is not the problem. The biggest problem I noticed about this JITB is the shortage if staff, especially on the late night shift. Even now, as I sit here eating my taco, I witnessed 3 cars turn around and leave after waiting in line for over 25 minutes. There are only 2 people working this shift. One is at the drive-thru window, taking orders and delivering, and the other worker is cooking. The line is around the parking lot, clear over to the entrance of the parking lot! It's not the staff"s fault! It's the lack of staff! Those two people are doing the best they can! I feel so bad for them. I would suggest to the owner or management staff, if you don't want to continue to lose customers, hire one or two more people to work the late night shift. Maybe get one really quick worker to try and speed things along when the line gets to be so long. I wanted to give this place a 5 star review, but I had to take off one for the lack of service. I also removed one for that new Triple Cut Premium Cheese Bacon Burger. It was not worth the $5.00 price of the burger! And I ordered 2 of them! One for myself and one for my friend. $10.00 for 2 burgers that could have been done much better! I loved the soft, brioche type bun, and the pattie itself was tasty, but there wasn't enough substance for a $5.00 burger. Shredded lettuce would have been nice, maybe some diced onions, and some special sauce. It was pretty dry! The only thing that saved it was the bun! I still think I could have went to Burger King and got Whoppers for less and it would have been tastier. I should have just stuck with our tacos from here. I'll know better next time! I thought it over and I added back a star to this JITB. I decided that even though I felt the burger I purchased was overpriced and lacked luster, I do not think this JITB should be penalized for an item that is on their menu, which they have no control over. This is a fast food chain. They all make similar if not exactly the same menu items which they are informed to offer. The burger was cooked fine and was probably exactly how it was suppose to be.
