There's a Jack in the Box just around the corner from our house. I work at home and it's a quick, convenient place to grab lunch. But from now on, I will drive farther and grab elsewhere. Today I decided to try an alleged hamburger called the Bonus Jack. I also got a Chocolate Overload cake on a separate order as an afterthought. The little round chocolate cake weighed more than the "hamburger." And it was BIGGER! Jack in the Box clearly holds its customers in bitter contempt. I paid $4.99 for that tiny hamburger-shaped refrigerator magnet (and that's about how it tasted, like a greasy refrigerator magnet), and as far as I'm concerned, it's $4.99 that Jack in the Box owes me (I'm not holding my breath--but I'm holding my middle finger in the air). Let's face it, folks: Jack hates us. It's pretty obvious to me that the person who designs their menu was given one instruction: "Insult them." With the "Bonus" Jack, they succeeded in abundance. Again, in my case (I've been disgusted with them the last three visits). But for the last time. The word "bonus" suggests something beneficial, something over and above what is expected. The "Bonus" Jack is beneficial to no one--except Jack, who must be making quite a little profit from this culinary hoax. Technically, it isn't even a hamburger--it's a SLIDER! I think every person who buys one of these adorable little abominations should immediately sue Jack in the Box for fraud. If we could get enough people together and file a big enough class action suit, maybe we could shut this bad clown down, which is what he deserves. The chocolate cake was okay, about as good as anything from Hostess or Little Debbie. But compared to the "Bonus" Jack, it was haute cuisine. If you absolutely must patronize this customer-hating fraud, don't have the "Bonus" Jack unless you involve your attorney. I, for one, am done with the clown. His food sucks, his service sucks, and he can shove both up his pointy clown hat. read more

They are the most inefficient restaurant of any kind, fast food or a real restaurant come I've ever experienced in my life! To say that the customer service and efficiency is bad for a fast food restaurant is saying a lot, because most fast food restaurants miss the word "fast" and how quickly they're supposed to shell out the orders. I worked for fast food and it's supposed to take an average of 2 minutes per customer.it takes 25 to 30 minutes and that's whether you are in the drive-through line or standing inside waiting. You would get a much better quality meal and probably less length of time if you just went to a real restaurant. I have given them 3 chances in the past 4 months and this was the last time tonight. Both the manager and the employees have no idea what time efficiency means. They are overwhelmed whether there's 2 cars in line, 8, 2 customers inside with no one outside, doesn't matter, they take absolutely forever no matter what! They need to be shut down! read more

Was in line on Christmas day and heard the customer in front of me tell the cashier Merry Christmas. The cashier reflexively replied "Merry chr...." then covered her mouth and looked around to see if anyone heard her. I was looking at her and she told me that they are not allowed to say Merry Christmas. I told her that I had nothing against her but will no longer spend one penny at Jack in the Box because of their non Christmas policy. It's a shame that they hate the idea of Christmas in general not just Christians. I am not usually a person who will boycott, or call on others to boycott a business because of their policies, however, this is just hateful to make their employees do their anti God bidding and even on Christmas day, especially to a customer who already said Merry Christmas first. I don't know why this place has such low ratings. Literally every time my husband and I come here (and that's a lot because we're late night snackers), we have amazing service and well-prepared food. To me, this is outstanding. I used to hate getting burgers at Jack in the Box, because every other store I've visited has terrible tasting burgers, but I love the Jr. Jacks at Anderson. Honestly, though, our favorite thing about this location is the service. All the employees we've interacted with have been super friendly, helpful, and obliging. this is the worst place I have ever eaten in. Outside is surprisingly nice and clean. However inside feels like in the barn. So many flies. Every where is dirty and not clean. The lids for the cups do not fit in. I did not check out the restroom because I thought it is even worse and I was already so disguised so I did not dare to go in there. I thought the food will make me happier, but I was wrong. The food is not any better. The French fries was raw. The burger was so hot, feels juke it just came from hell. My husband went during lunch hour today (Thursday) via drive thru. He ordered a fish sandwich (which they are supposed to carry now) and was told it wasn't always available, so he asked for a chicken salad instead, a chicken sandwich and a large order of curly fries. You would think the chicken would be cut up on the salad, it was not, and the order of fries was nothing but bits and pieces that was at the bottom of the basket. There wasn't one full fresh curly fry in the whole thing- worst fries I've ever seen. What's the manager doing about quality control? Food Is too expensive for this kind of service. Jesse the guy at the cashier is super rude. We were let in two minutes after eight when the lobby was closed by a diner that did not know it was closed. He lost his professionalism and then was rude throughout the whole of our party of ordering. I don't know who people think they are representing but I'm sure JACK would not appreciate his attitude not the way he told the other customer to "DONT OPEN THE DOOR THE LOBBY IS CLOSED!!!!" What an interesting experience at this location. Very dirty restaurant; all the trash cans were full and brimming with trash, the tables were covered in food and crumbs, and the wait times to even place an order were very long, despite only one person ahead of us. There was an older lady employee behind the counter, who kept yelling, and getting agitated with customers and her coworkers, before finally storming out. I think we waited around tn minutes to place an order and another twenty minutes total for the food to come out. The food wasn't bad, but the clientele here is very strange, creepy almost. We went to this jack in the box location (Anderson, CA) today we arrived at 11:10 am and there was five(5) cars ahead of us it, after placing our order 4 adults in the car 3 seniors and a disabled vet we asked for some modifications and after waiting 17 minutes our order was incomplete and wrong, plus to add insult to injury we were treated rudely by the gal at the first window (according to staff members her name was Raven). This person needs to be taught proper rules in how engaged with the public. We went back thru and another 12 minutes and just asked for the manager(her name Shelby) and explained what happened and hamburger's were uncooked and items requested to not be on the hamburgers were doubled. We requested our money back and was given a third degree. We never have this problem when we go to Red Bluff, Corning, and Chico and we usually our group meets once a week, just to get out of the house and we go to the local casinos. I had a terrible experience here. I got completely ripped off! I ordered a buttery jack and the patty was burnt and it was thinner than a McDonald's patty which is depressing. The buns were black. The food here is way overpriced and it also took 10 or more minutes to just get my food. All of the soda from the soda fountain was flat and tasted like syrup. Also, the checkup packets were haft empty and the hot sauce tasted like checkup so there was no spice. Overall my experience was terrible and my burger tasted very bad and I was traumatized.
