Throughout the entire journey, Coley was there--answering every question, calming every worry, and never once making me feel like I was asking too much (even when I thought I was being annoying, haha). She guided us with so much knowledge and warmth, making sure we always felt safe and supported. Our delivery was long--being my first--but Coley never wavered. She knew exactly what to do, always reassuring us that everything was unfolding just as it should. Her confidence and care made all the difference, and I can't imagine having gone through it without her. Without a doubt, I'd call Coley again for my second pregnancy.

From ways to naturally induce labor, questions about certain pregnancy symptoms, and concerns about labor, she was there to help me to prepare for my upcoming labor and delivery of my son. Sheri was with me throughout my entire 33 hours of labor. She practically turned my labor room into a spa! With aromatherapy, LED candles, relaxing music and essential oils, she made my room so comfortable and serene! She tended to my needs during the entire labor. She used massage, imagery and breathing techniques to get me through every contraction and obstacle in labor. Her experience as a labor and delivery/postpartum nurse also helped to give me piece of mind since she also had the medical background and knowledge to understand everything going on between the medical professionals. She was able to explain to me things I didn't understand, offer suggestions, and be an advocate for me when it came to my nurses and the entire health care team. After the birth of my baby, Sheri continued to go above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She visited me at the hospital the day after the baby was born and brought me lactation cookies and padsicles (frozen maxi pads with aloe vera and witch hazel... AMAZING!!!), she visited me at my home when I was having issues with breastfeeding, and when I mentioned something about wanting to wear a Moby wrap, she told me she had some loner wraps and brought me one to my home. I could text her anytime of the day with a question or concern and she would respond very quickly. The only way I can truly describe Sheri is by saying she is seriously an angel. Her calm demeanor, her soothing voice, her graciousness, gentleness, sincerity, patience and love for her job make her someone you just want to be around, especially during this very intimate time in your life. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Sheri to anyone looking for a labor or postpartum doula. We don't know how we would have done it without her. She will be a special person in ours and our son's life forever.

Wouldn't recommend this service to anyone! Our experience was very similar to Emily's experience…read more I'd say almost to the T with the exception of her assistant, Sally was great and is one of the reason my wife and son are alive today. My wife and I expressed concerns about her pelvis being too narrow but she brushed it off and we believed her. A mistake that nearly ended my new family. She would say that something was fine and then would say that the same thing was concerning. We chalked it up to her being a bit eccentric. On top of that, we only got reimbursed a little over $100 from insurance and we had Anthem PPO at the time. Not necessarily her fault but it added to the negative experience and expenses. My wife's labor ended up being 24hrs at home and 36hrs total which ended in a C-Section. She was little to no help and it was Sally that recommended we go to the hospital. Plug-in for Rancho Springs, amazing hospital and staff. It's not what we wanted but definitely what we needed and more. We didn't want a hospital birth but they have the best ward bar none. Only hospital me and my wife would go to for this. From our conversations with other people that used her in the past, I think she was once a great midwife but from our experience, I would highly discourage anyone from using her services. If you use her, you'll be playing roulette with you and your child's life.

Would not recommend Our son was born early September 2024…read moreand Anne was our midwife for the pregnancy. During our meetings we were constantly recommended to seek outside opinions from my OBGYN and medical facilities, causing us to spend thousands more during my pregnancy and birth on top of her fee for services ($6000). During my birth Anne and her assistants made the environment stressful when I expressed for my birth to be peaceful to my liking. Upon Anne's arrival she said that I was fully dilated at 6am. At 3pm Anne had checked me and told me that she had still felt some of my cervix (I WAS NOT FULLY DILATED). She had complained earlier in the day that her fingers were too short to check properly, so I'm not sure how she has been a midwife and her fingers be too short to check her clients. I was instructed to push while not being fully dilated. Anne appeared impatient and she didn't seem to know what to do to help me progress. After an hour and a half of pushing she recommended transfer to the hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital I was checked and was dilated to AN EIGHT. The hospital determined that my baby was too large to have naturally. During my pregnancy we brought up the size of my baby and Anne would discredit all the ultrasounds and weight estimates that we were given. I had my baby via c-section and was born at 11 pounds 1 ounce, he would never have been born safely naturally. After my hospital stay we returned home to a birth pool fully inflated and still containing the water from my labor, this was after I was told that everything would be cleaned up before our return. A warning to all, a contract is presented and must be signed that states once Anne shows up to your birth/labor there are NO REFUNDS of any sort. Ultimately I would not recommend Anne's services as a midwife. If you are looking for a midwife to trust as your expert and for a safe, comfortable birth, look elsewhere.

From the moment we FaceTimed so I could ask initial questions, I knew we were a match. Getting along with someone who was going to care for me and my baby was so huge, and with Katie it was effortless. She not only cared for me, my growing baby, but my whole family as well. Encouraging them to be involved with my care, such as helping listening to baby's heartbeat, measuring my belly etc. She made sure to provide love and care to our whole big family. Through those months, she truly and effortlessly became my friend. I had some previous birth trauma, and not once did Katie allow me to carry that concern deeper into that pregnancy. She answered all of my questions, calmed all of my fears, and supported me in every single decision I made throughout everything. Her experience and knowledge left me with zero space to be worried and I felt so safe with her! She truly went above and beyond what I could have ever expected, and because of her, I was able to have my dream home birth. If God ever decides that there's going to be a baby number seven, I won't hesitate to hire Katie again. Seriously, if you're on the hunt for a midwife and you just can't decide, take this as your sign. Katie is the best of the best! I will forever be thankful to the way she has cared for and loved my family.

Katie Jones was our midwife for our last two births. I have 5 children born in 4 different…read morehospitals, including one born in a hospital during 2020. While all of our hospital experiences (with exception of the last one) went well, we were looking for more personable options, less "fuss" of procedures and interventions, more patient centered care over policy centered. In our search for a midwife Katie stood out to me as very competent, a desire to give her patients the information they needed to have truly informed consent and power in their decisions, as well as a desire to get to know the families she was serving so she could adapt best to their needs and preferences. Despite having 5 previous births I was never as educated as I was under Katie's care. She answers every question thoroughly and was never in a rush to move on to the next appointment. I also appreciated part of her background as an EMT, my impression is that she would have a cool head under pressure and would have a different perspective on what constitutes an emergency in a home birth setting. Safety is often a question when sorting through decisions surrounding birth. We never want to put ourselves or our children in unnecessary danger. Katie's thorough and clear communication helped us have confidence that we would be informed throughout any tentative emergency, there would likely be warning signs along the way, and our preferences in creating and carrying out an emergency plan would be considered. Our first birth with Katie for baby #6 went smoothly at home. We felt in comparison to our hospital experiences we had first class care. I had never seen a more thorough infant evaluation as what Katie and Tayna conducted. There is so much more opportunity to recover and enjoy the new life we just welcomed into the world in our own space. We would choose that experience over any of our hospital births hands down. The care for pregnancy #7 was even better. We were able to ask more questions and implement more supplements, herbs and exercise to help with both prenatal and postpartum. This birth was super fast, 45 min from when I woke up in labor until our baby was born. I didn't notify Katie that I thought it was time for her to come to us until my water broke in which I knew the baby would come quickly, especially as baby #7. She told us she was on her way. She was on speaker phone with us through the birth and all the way until she arrived. Although, we didn't expect to deliver our baby unassisted we were well prepared by Katie. Once she arrived she and Tayna provided excellent care to us and were reassuring that everything looked great. We are grateful for the experiences we had working with Katie in the birth of our 6th and 7th babies. If God leads us to have any more children we would work with Katie again in a heart beat. While there is always the potential for true emergencies that warrant the medical interventions of a hospital related to birth we feel confident that the quality and sincerity of care we have received decreases our risk for unnecessary medical interventions. We are much more trusting of care providers, whether it is a sincere and excellent midwife, a family doctor or other, that has an evident passion for not just helping a patient in a time of need but truly casting vision for a healthy lifestyle that puts the patient's interests and informed consent over any standard policy or gov't approved "recommendation." I reiterate, this was truly patient centered care over policy centered. Working with a midwife to have a home birth or birth at a birthing center may or may not seem like a fit for you. After our experiences I think it could probably be a fit for most that has a potential to bring much more refreshment and respect to a growing family.

I liked that Megan has experience in all types of births herself (I think two c-sections, two homebirths and one hospital epidural) so I hired her in July 2016 for the home birth of my son in September 2016. She was so very supportive about home birth and helped to assuage my many fears. I went into labor on Saturday night and even though my contractions weren't super close together, I asked her to come that night because I felt like I needed the support. My husband was an amazing birth coach and partner so Megan did a good job of giving us plenty of alone time but also being there to give my husband a break and also give ideas to help relieve pain. Along with my husband, she stayed up with me all night through every contraction. It ended up being a very long labor and I didn't tend to make progress unless I was walking so she was great at encouraging me to get walking so I would progress. After the birth, she stayed around and helped me as I was feeling quite dizzy from blood loss. I also used her placenta service (do this!!!) and got a smoothie, pills and the salve (my skin has seriously never looked so good - I want more but she told me I'll have to have another baby to get more)! I am forever grateful to her for all her support in the most important experience of my life.
