Very friendly staff and friendly dentist. Very nice person over the phone when booking an appointment for the first time. Got all my information and was very pleasant, made it very easy for me to make an appointment. They confirmed the day before for your appointment. Walked in and you have to fill out forms. So go early. It's very clean. Parking is a little small but I doubt they over book patients. The office sits right in the middle of the street. Dr Rhee by far "THE BEST DENTIST" I have ever been too. It's been approximately 8 years that I have been going to him and he has never failed to have a smile on his face along with his staff. He has always used the latest technology making my office visits easy welcoming and down right special. When you set your appointment and you arrive you are in your chair cleaned x-rayed and on your way before you even notice you were nervous. That's Magic.... He has just moved into a new facility witch resembles a home from the outside and a beautiful office on the inside. Shooooo I want to go and just hang out in the office on my off time just because....Everything brand spanking new....always with the latest technology warm, Inviting, comfortable open floor plan ran by a Man and his staff who really whole heartedly cares about his patients. While the office was clean and everyone was very nice... the dental hygienist was not very hygienic. She put on gloves, THEN touched everything in the area, THEN put her hands in my mouth for the cleaning. When I mean everything, I'm referring to the chair, the control to adjust my chair, then apron shield for the X-ray, the x-ray equipment (which is nicely hidden in the wall). Like I said, the establishment was nice especially the decor. Main concerns (1) the hygienist as mentioned above and (2) the fact that there was a hygienist doing the cleaning (my old, dentist of 20 years did his own cleanings--manually too, not using drill-like instruments.) He used to be good before he moved to Nutley. Now it's just business. He mixed up the dental diagnosis with another patient and just laughed about it when asked why. The crowns he put in only lasted a couple of years and they are having to be replaced even though they were pitched as lasting at least a decade. No apology, just excuses. The reception staff don't even smile, nevermind say please or thank you when you arrive or pay. This is what happens when you expand and need to make more money but your business is based on personal service. After 5 years of looking after my family's teeth I wouldn't trust him again after the experience and unprofessionalism of the last two visits and the wasted money on bad dental work. read more

I won't be coming back to this place again. I've been coming here for years and the way the doctor handled an experience I had when the dental hygienist did my cleaning was bad. When she did one side, I was struggling to swallow during the cleaning and it was a truly a scary experience. I was also swollen for hours after even though she said it would be 45mins-1hr. When I asked if the doctor could do my other side for my next visit, it went perfectly. It's disappointing because I received no apology from the doctor or the dental hygienist. Dr. Rhee has a state of the art modern office. The wait time is minimal and he is friendly as is his receptionist Lisa. Dr. Rhee performs your hygiene procedures which is a nice plus. He is patient and always explains what and why. He also shares instant photos on his flat screen of how your teeth look and what he will do. I would recommend Dr. Rhee highly. We used to go to another dentist who i will not name. He was always ready to pull, drill, root canal...anything that was excessive and costly. While Dr. Rhee isn't cheap. He is fair and honest. He isn't going to push for a root canal when he feels he can save a tooth for a few years with a filling. He doesn't jump to the most extreme treatment as the last dentist we went to did. Best doctor and staff I ever met ! Yes i did my research befor i visit doctors to find best in town and the whole experience was exceptional ! Nurses are friendly and tells you exactly whats gonna happen each every move, with great attitude. I didnt wait much long for doctor, he is pretty fast handed and know what he's doing. He doesnt recommend unnecessary treatment, doesnt push to sell any product. Instead, i walked out of office with goodie bags. Aw, I went in for check up, thought I had cavity, but no it turns out, I just brush my tooth too hard, one tooth were jusy worn out . DO NOT COME HERE!! Dr. Rhee is no good. If you need to have a root canal done, go to a reputable Endodontist. I had a root canal done on one tooth back in 2012 and a cleaning. Because of him and his awful cleaning technique, I have been so traumatized that it took me 4 yrs to trust another DDS to get a checkup/cleaning. So, his cleaning consisted of 12 shots (at least). He basically gave me a shot every inch or so along the top and bottom row of my teeth. That in itself was so painful, I nearly lost it. I had no idea this was his protocol and asked why it was necessary afterwards and was told that the cleaning hurts sometimes. Well, all prior cleanings with other offices consisted of some blood when spitting. His did not. And the cleaning didn't take long at all. Makes me wonder if he did a thorough job at all. The worst part of this is after my recent visit with my NEW DDS. I was told that the root canal (which Dr. Rhee had given me) was not properly done and that I had an abscess in both the roots of the tooth (a molar). So I was given two options - redo the root canal which now has a 70% success rate or pull it and get an implant. I was at a loss for words. So today, I went to an endodontist whom I was referred to by my DDS and he was wonderful. He showed me pictures of the tooth and explained why the root canal failed. So that's confirmation by two doctors that my root canal was poorly done. I plan on having it redone which will cost me at least grand through insurance. So with my experience and review, please do yourself a favor and save yourself time and money by going to someone else. Unfortunately there are a lot of quacks out there so be careful!! And the new hygienist that did my cleaning gave me no shots. The cleaning itself did not hurt like the 12 shots I was given by Dr. Rhee and she took her time and did such a thorough job that I had some blood when I rinsed my mouth. Very happy with my new DDS and Endodontist. And getting over the traumatizing experience with Dr. Rhee. read more
