My poor hair was neglected for too long, and I was recommended to see Arielle. I was pretty nervous - I have thick Asian hair, and lots of it. My hair isn't easy to work with, and many stylists in the past have failed to meet my expectations as a result. I came in knowing what lightness and tone I wanted (Goldwell, beige pearl/beige ash). Instead of telling me that she couldn't get me that light in one sitting (which is what I expected to hear since it's the response I usually get with someone new to my hair), Arielle said let's do it and started working on my hair after the consultation. Arielle absolutely nailed it and gave me even more than what I was looking for - my confidence back! I didn't add a blowout to my service as I knew my salon visits were always very long (5 hours on average) and I wasn't planning on doing anything but roll around on my couch for the rest of the day. She wanted to give me one anyway - probably because my hair just looked too good not to style and photograph! I've since moved after my first visit with Arielle. If I were still local, I would 100% continue to see Arielle. Since seeing her, I've never been fully satisfied with my balayage at other salons and with different stylists. The treatment was done incorrectly, and the results were not what I paid for. Fine--mistakes happen. When I contacted the salon to explain and asked them to correct it, instead of taking responsibility or trying to resolve the issue, I was repeatedly told that I was wrong and, essentially, that I was lying about what had happened. I ultimately looked up the instructions myself and confirmed that the treatment had not been performed according to the proper process. This was not a matter of me simply "not liking" the result -- the procedure itself had been done incorrectly. I asked the salon to fix the situation. Vickie (the manager) examined my hair in front of the stylist, which was incredibly unprofessional, and proceeded to tell me that I was wrong. When I asked for the treatment to be redone entirely because it had not been performed correctly in the first place, Vickie flatly refused. She offered to do just the hairline, which wouldn't have solved the problem. Also, if the treatment had been done correctly in the first place as she insisted, this concession wouldn't have made any sense. I said if she wouldn't redo the whole process I would like a refund and her response was essentially, "I don't issue refunds," as though a blanket no-refund policy somehow excuses performing a service incorrectly. What made the experience even more unbelievable was that other members of the staff themselves agreed with me that the treatment had not taken and that the process had been done incorrectly. Despite this, Vickie continued to insist that I was the one who was wrong. The tone throughout the entire interaction was beyond rude and dismissive. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business handles them. Vickie chose to deny the problem, blame me, and refuse to make it right. Looking at other reviews on this page, clearly this is a pattern of terrible service and a decision not to take accountability. I regret not taking a closer look at the reviews before going. Don't make the same mistake I did. I have never had a salon experience this bad. I am genuinely blown away by the lack of professionalism and customer service.
