Once, on a Saturday, I almost fell off my uncomfortable seat as I saw the door wide open. Shock. Checked them out online, figured I had to get in somehow. Expected website to say 'only open Saturdays between 2pm and 2.15 if the moon's in Aquarius and the humidity under 65%'. To my surprise, they claimed to be open almost normal hours. Frowned in confusion. Was heading nearby, thought I must solve the Mystery of the Disappearing Opening Hours once and for all. Stood on the doorstep seeking entrance to embroidered sari (or saree) emporium most perplexed. Sign said closed. Another sign said opening hours that included the time I was physically reading them. Lights were on inside. Door was locked. No sign saying 'out to lunch' or the like. Unless walking up the path silently transports you to an alternative time dimension where it is always Monday afternoon and hence, the shop shut, I have limited other explanations. Maybe there's a secret knock required to gain entrance? Would someone teach it to me? Please?

Whilst Bon Doi Crafts from the Orient also sells these sweet $39 dresses, re-designed using beautiful Japanese vintage material, they also boast a range of crafts from the Orient (really, the name says it all). The shop also stocks a wide range of colourful Sapa inspired skirts, jackets, hats and bags, including adorable kids booties and bonnets. These clothes are beautiful - I remember walking through the markets in Sapa, Vietnam being overwhelmed by the colours and intricate designs of their heavy clothes, gushing over the babies clothed head to toe in the traditional dress and leaving the markets with three Sapa-style bags and two Sapa-style blankets. The comparatively higher prices of the clothes here meant that this time I didn't leave with bags full of clothes and blankets. Although I still smiled at the idea of dressing a baby head to toe here and thus I have no doubt that this will happen one day soon. Bon Doi Crafts from the Orient also sell a bunch of cutesy crafts/toys, my favourite being pockets of felt monkeys and wall hangings with row of owls perched on a twig. They also stock some of the most beautiful silver jewellery I have ever seen. Sadly though, this jewellery is a bit on the expensive side. Around $30 for a pair of earrings, for example. Still. The warehouse stocks all the basics, bikini tops, bottoms, sarongs, kaftans, childrens bathing gear, bags, hats (lol the hats deserve their own review), thongs etc etc.. What I love most about seafolly is that their collections are all mix and match!!! I bagged 2 bikini bottoms and a little set for my niece - $40 thanks... Practically free. Ohhh here's where it stings though - not a single Seafolly item is chlorine resistant... Yep these babies are not designed for the pool - who would have thought right?

Very poor customer service. My partner picked up a top clearly marked 29.95. When at the counter…read morescanned at 59.95. The manager refused to honor it stating she pay the full price or she would remove it from stock. She then accused other customers of removing tags and placing on othe garments. While waiting for resolution another customer had multiple items with the same issue and was told the same thing. The staff refused to help even giggling and make comments under their breath think we could not hear them. Customer support is no existant so staff feel they can get away with this behaviour. Will follow up with ACCC and chase down someone in ZARA Australia.
