This is a small family run independent butcher. It is scrupulously clean and staff have excellent…read morehygiene standards - always washing hands after each customer. They stock a good range of high quality raw meats as well as cooked cold cuts of meat. Their ham on the bone is fabulous. It's really nice to still find genuine butchers as opposed to having to buy meat from supermarkets. Another advantage is that you can buy small quantities rather than large paks of meat. The staff are very helpful and are able to offer advice on the best cuts of meat and how to prepare and cook them.

However, some stores can be a little hit and miss. In one shop I've visited in the Glasgow area the store is huge, but the supplies are limited with no freezer cabinet. In another the store is small with limited stock and only very reluctantly helpful staff. This particular branch, however, is the best I've ever been into. It's not particularly large, but they make the best of the space available to include as much variety as possible. It's organised, tidy and though Holland & Barrett in general is not cheap you're paying for quality. However, what makes this particular store is the staff. They are friendly, helpful and the manager is always happy to order in anything they don't have in stock and set it aside for you until you're able to collect and pay. I go out of my way to shop at this branch rather than the one closest to me purely because of the staff. Basically, they make this store as good as it gets.
