Wow!!!!! What a pleasant surprise!!! I stopped in because I had a coupon and was surprised by the friendly staff and supppppper reasonable prices! I had the roasted turkey on rye and WOW it was amazing!!! I am a believer! This is my new go to place!! VERY VERY HAPPY!! Loved the staff as well!! You won't be disappointed in the food and the people!! ******update****** Maybe I was extra hungry when I wrote the above review. I went back a few more times and it was just okay. The staff wasn't as friendly as I thought they were. But they were to the regulars. I go for the food/ prices not the people.

Fast accurate breakfast. That's says it all. The staff is friendly and gets to know their customers. You hear "Hey Fred!", "Mornin' Joe!", "Hey John!", etc, etc. I order two eggs, Bacon, Toast and grits. Get it fast. Must say, the over medium eggs were over harder then usual this week. Not much yoke to dip my toast into. They usually get it right ever time. Coffee is good. It's not Brisk that most restaurants use. You smokers can sit outside where extra tables await you. The Biscuits & Gravy can change in taste from week to week.

Good food, great service. This place was a good diner. Lots of affordable selections and attentive and friendly servers. I had the scramble potato and gravy and the honey had the smoked sausage with eggs, grits and pancakes. My food was tasty but not super fatty tasting. Some extra flavor on the home fires would have been better (reoccurring request it seems at most places) and my honeys only complaint was that the pancake mix wasn't blended in well enough which resulted in some texture issues in the pancakes. I would recommend this place for dinner food because the service was very good. You can tell it's frequented by a ton of regulars. Give this place a shot! Breakfast was $14 and included two meals and two coffees.

This is how good it was. Lol

Service is quick and friendly and food is delicious. Place is small and old looking inside but it's the food that counts.

Waffle House is a chain of restaurants that serve breakfast around the clock. The first Waffle…read moreHouse was conceived by founder Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner who met when Rogers purchased a house from Forkner. The two men decided to go into business together. The first Waffle House opened on Labor Day weekend in 1955 in Avondale Estates. Georgia. Rogers wanted to create a restaurant where you could get food quickly while still having table service 24 hours, seven days a week. The name Waffle House was chosen because waffles were the most popular and profitable item on the menu. By the fourth restaurant in 1960, they began franchising Waffle Houses. In the 1970's the company sold off the first Waffle House restaurant. They purchased it back in 2007, restored it, and turned it into a company museum. Today Waffle House has 2,100 locates in 25 mainly southern states. If you have ever taken a southern road trip or needed breakfast in the wee hours of the morning after partying, you likely have dined at a Waffle House. This Waffle House is convenient to both I-95 and the Turnpike in Ft. Pierce. I ended up here because I was having a craving for a pecan waffle and I had an hour to kill before my tour started. I sat myself down at the counter and in no time at all I had a hot cup of coffee in front of me. The atmosphere is no frill, greasy spoon but I did enjoy the historic photos on the wall. I ordered my trifecta of happiness, a pecan waffle, well down hash browns, and a plate of bacon. As I waited I enjoyed the banter of the employees who seemed like family. I was so full by the time I rolled out that I didn't end up eating for the rest of the day. The prices may have gone up over the years but the nostalgia I have for Waffle House is priceless.

The interior was clean and the service was fast. We of course ordered a waffle and also the more traditional breakfast fare. The food was hot and fresh. Everything was exactly as expected. Keep in mind, this is a diner, so temper your expectations. This isn't the Ritz Carlton. But in the class of "grungy American diners," this Waffle House tops the list!

I was excited at the selection of draft beer chose a Mango Cart while my husband had a Long Island iced tea.... He shared that it was perfect. We skipped appetizers as we had had a late lunch . It's funny that we both leaned towards proteins and he devoured his meatloaf before I hardly saw it and my smash burger was right on point with their new steak fries. I subbed his brussels sprouts for the carrots as they're one of my favorites and he is not a veggie guy- the flavor profile was spot on, and I would order them as an appetizer in the future. It is always safe to say I'll be back over and over and have never been disappointed ! If you guys look at my reviews and don't see one for any restaurant in Fort Pierce or Vero that typically means that I had to follow my mom's advice- if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I will always be honest and hope that each of you enjoyed this review along with my others.

The bartender was great and knew her menu really well. We tried several options, including the deviled eggs, pickled board, which basically was a charcuterie board and burger. I think we had a salad too, and it was all super good and they have lots of options for beer on top which we love. Parking was good at the time, but I could see how it would be a pain at times since it's all street parking and downtown. However, totally worth it and the ambience was great. I loved that the manager was there talking to his staff at the time and I just overheard how he wanted to make the place better which makes me wanna go back. See you guys again soon and thanks for the amazing old-fashioned.
