Not my favorite, but that's not fair entirely since I've been spoiled with Chicago style pizza and some really good St. Louis style as well when comparing it to other deep dish or thin crust pizzas . When I first open the box my impression was "VERY GREASY" . So greasy I used paper towels to pat it down and reduce it . Didn't look like someone took the time to cut it ? So I had to improvise on how to cut it and eat it . I actually folded up EVERY PIECE TO MAKE IT A LIKE A MINI CALZONE I will say, the pricing is certainly spiked cause of the location cause I won't be paying 26-27 + tip on a large single topping pizza when I can get one much cheaper somewhere else . Overall, next time I may look into a calzone or something since I imagine it's cheaper . Other than that I may not order cause this pizza wasn't worth the hype . read more

Honestly, everything was so good I know I'll be thinking about it for days...weeks. The dough was perfect, the toppings and cheese...exactly what you wanted, fresh, plentiful, so delicious. The garlic rolls, covered in fresh garlic and hot butter. Those powdered sugar raspberry zeppole...whoa. I could eat those all night! This pizza is right up there with the best. I used to love this place. They have severely gone down hill and don't care. I ordered my food and waited an hour. When I asked they went to the back and started fussing at each other. Then she brought me my food and assured me it was fresh and hot. Well that was a lie, I had to microwave my pizza and my wings because they were cold. Just because it's been under a heat lamp doesn't mean it's hot. Very disappointing. read more

Customer service was, well let's say it wasn't. They could use some lessons on how to be a little more friendly. Ordered a small pepperoni, beef, mushroom, and onions. 14.99 for a small pizza, add $10 for my ingredients. When you look at the picture of the pizza I'm going to post you'll see maybe two little places where there's some ground beef, at about 15 slices of mushroom which was probably one whole large mushroom, and a few onions scattered about. I inquired about $2.50 for the small amount of ingredients and she said yeah that's what it cost. So my $15 pizza turned into a $25 pizza which had barely any ingredients on it and it was a small. She was very rude. Then as I waited for my dessert I think she realized how upset I was and I said I would never be back. They asked me why and as a boy and the lady stood there. I lifted the lid and I said there's hardly any ingredients on here and you charge me $2.50 for that little scattering of onions and I only see some ground beef in two little spots. They started touching my pizza one with their finger and the other one with a pen saying look there's some here, look there's some here and I closed the lid and said please don't touch my pizza. Needless to say I will never go back and the pizza was not worth $15. She did tell me I could have changed you for a special which would have been twenty so I will credit you for that. We will see if that happens. Also, the one boy making the pizza had long hair in the front and kept taking his wrist and rubbing his bangs to get them out of his eyes then touching the ingredients and putting them on the pizza. This is the desert pictures. They did not even fill the container or the dip was a quarter of an inch in the bottom of the container. Not even enough for three of the fried dough. It was fried dough rolled in powdered sugar. You would think they could have filled the container and given me more sauce than a quarter of an inch and the bottom of a container. We took three of our grandchildren on vacation recently, and on one of our days there, we were looking for a reasonably priced restaurant to take our very picky grandchildren. We "Yelped" it, and decided to give J Del's a try because they sell pizza by the SLICE. You can tell when you arrive that it's a local hangout, but that usually means it's going to have great food. We were NOT disappointed. It took a little while for us to get the pizza because every pizza is made to order. We watched as the owner tossed the pizza dough in the air and with great skill made our pizza. Be patient, and remember IT'S WORTH THE WAIT! We got a slice for the kids and a whole pizza for us. First, the "slices" are HUGE. We started to dig into the pizza, and I must tell you without any hesitation whatsoever, this was the BEST pizza that I have ever had in my life, BAR NONE. You can tell that everything, the crust, the sauce, and I think even the cheese is made from scratch. The prices are very reasonable, and the taste is AWESOME. And...our picky grandchildren??? Stopped by to get a quick carry out pizza based upon the reviews. The staff was super friendly and the place was clean and cheerful. The staff were masked as were some of the customers. We ordered the garlic nots and a large vegetable pizza. The garlic on the garlic nots had the freshest garlic I have ever tasted. The vegetables on the pizza were fresh and tender/crisp. Nothing was limp or overcooked just plain and fresh. The flavor of the toppings was good as was the pizza crust. It is conveniently located for quick and easy access. Delicious, just like their slogan claims! Nicely kept secret and I should've taken more pictures of the food. We had the closest thing we have come to a Chicago Dog outside of Chicago, a wonderful meatball sub on a warm, fresh roll that is soft on the inside with an eggshell thin, cracked crust, a large cheese pizza that was reminiscent of a slice in downtown NY, a side salad/garlic rolls, and a cannoli that was perfection. We got takeout from here on our first night in town. We placed our order on a Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised that there was only a 30 minute wait to pick up our pie. We got pepperoni and mushroom Chicago style, which at this restaurant is a thin crust crust cut into smaller triangles--not deep dish. Our order was ready on time and accurate. The thin crust was perfectly crispy, and it wasn't oily. I appreciated that the mushrooms were fresh, not canned. I give the food five stars. The employees were in the back and on their phones. We waited about five minutes before someone came to the front to take our order. The guy making the pizzas was also using his phone texting and didn't wash his hands or wear gloves. This pizza here was very good. We got the New York hand-tossed option. We also got the garlic knots which had big chunks of garlic on and in them. This is a small restaurant in a strip mall, which makes it convenient to go in an order, then do a little shopping. You can dine in or carry out.
