We were originally quoted $20,000 by a water restoration company who told us they needed to pull out all of our kitchen cabinetry, cut open large sections of our walls, and spray chemicals for suspected mold growth. It was going to be a massive project that would take about eight weeks and completely turn our home upside down. Thankfully, we decided to get another opinion and called Kevin. Instead of jumping straight into a huge demolition, he carefully investigated the issue, opened the walls where it actually made sense, and discovered that the leak was not from the old sink leak at all like the restoration company believed. The water was actually coming in through the windows when it rained. Even more shocking, once the walls were opened there was no mold at all, despite the restoration company being fully convinced it was growing inside the walls. Because of Kevin's honesty, knowledge, and willingness to truly figure out the root of the problem, he saved us tens of thousands of dollars, the nightmare of tearing apart our entire kitchen, and the stress of filing an insurance claim on our home. What could have been an 8-week ordeal turned into a straightforward fix thanks to him. I had placed a quote request on Yelp to about 3-4 handyman companies but found that nobody services this part of town. So on FB I asked for a recommendation and got Chad's names within minutes of posting. Since the ceilings in my house are 15-20 feet high I had to find a handyman that could change out the smoke alarm batteries and air conditioner filters that had to be replaced. Our ladder that we had didn't reach that high making it very difficult for us to do it ourselves. I called Chad Saturday morning expecting to have to book an appointment later in the week but totally lucked out because Chad was in the neighborhood and available. Chad popped on over, took care of 5 filters to be replaced and our smoke alarm and was done in less then 30 minutes.
