These guys are certified arborists and their priorities seem to be: 1) keeping your trees healthy, 2) allowing wind to move through the trees to make them safer in hurricanes, and 3) keeping the shape visually pleasing. What they do is a science and they are not going to over-trim your trees or damage them. They have great equipment, are fully insured and are nice to work with. They arrive when they say they will and clean up after themselves. Are they expensive? I don't know as I didn't get any other estimates. However, I had no tree damage from Hurricane Milton - my neighbor spent $10k on cutting and removing downed trees from his roof, fences and yard.

I highly recommend him and he really cares about making the customer happy.

Basically-You get what you pay for and Doug was worth every penny and I'm very glad I went with…read morehim. Here's why- Doug did an amazing job at my property. I recently purchased 5 acres in Plant City and the property had been neglected for a number of years. It was maintained minimally but the much needed tree trimming had NOT been done in years. In fact, the over hang over my two warehouses was so extreme that there was wood rot from the leaves sitting for so long to one of my pole barn's beams. Trimming all of the trees in the front of the property and close to the pole barns was a must and multiple tree limbs were resting on both roofs, one warehouse is 3400 sq ft and the other is 6400 sq ft, so to put it lightly this was a really big job. Doug came to quote me within a few days of me contacting him and was very flexible with my schedule (I live far from my property and planned multiple quotes on the same day), the best part was how reliable he is. He showed up on time and communicated with me before and after we met. He was available when I was able to meet, so basically at my earliest convenience and I didn't have to wait. He was able to start as soon as I was available which was vital because I needed the trees trimmed prior to painting. Doug is extremely knowledgeable and a very friendly guy. He's honest and humble which is great when dealing with someone on your property. He did an excellent job trimming and removing my trees and completed the job to my exact specifications. I was 100% pleased with not only his work but his clean up was impeccable, and that's vital at the end of a job for me. He's a neat and tidy worker and held his employees to high standards. I didn't have to request he clean up anything when he was complete because he did such an excellent job in the first place. He also treats his guys very well and in return, they do great work. Doug was always extremely professional and nothing was damaged throughout the entire process. He was very careful and remained on site for the entire job. They worked efficiently and did not rush to complete any tasks. Doug's pricing was reasonable and was equal or better to the competition you get what you pay for I'm very glad I went with Florida Landworx.

Up until recently never had a bad experience and always left thinking about what would be next on the list! However, just had my first bad experience after 20+ years very recently. Involved a written quote obtained while in their office regarding the specifics of the job, and after the service was completed - I was yelled at and cursed on a phone call afterwards - a proposed 50% a increase in price was demanded for the job completed. Legal action was threatened if I did not comply. Ironically - less items on the list were completed and manpower present had decreased from 3 to 2 workers. Reason - that their written quote had been wrong - only discovered after the job was finished and the crew had left. Long story short, won't go back ever. Payment based on original written quote - sent.

Rico and team have been one of the few businesses that have totally stood by there word and went above and beyond. I had sod put in last year and Rico and I have talked all along the way on what to use for fertilizer, watering requirements, and mowing requirements. There was no response so I texted them again to see if they were going to still come out and do it but they called me and said, "Hello, I received a text from this number?" I was so confused, was my text deleted and he didn't see the previous conversation because every time I texted him after that, it was the same thing, he would call me and ask what I was needing. The communication was horrific and eventually he came out after one of his employees didn't show up the day before. He said he couldn't do it because it was too small of a job and that was it. He was friendly but that was probably the only good experience I had throughout. I could not recommend.

I'm sorry to see not so stellar reviews of this reputable company on here…read more My story is that when I first moved into our neighborhood, we decided to go with another company. Let's call them "Sassy." When "Sassy" came in, we had perfect brand new sod. From day one, our grass looked horrible under their care. We wanted to give them a chance because they are a nationally recognized company and they've been around since we were kids. Every time I tried to cancel, they'd send a manager to address the issues and never, ever, ever did we get the resiliency back in our lawn while it was managed by them. S&O was recommended to us and after the first month, our lawn was LITERALLY, you guys, LITERALLY the best lawn on the block. I mean, our grass got so thick after three month that it became almost too difficult to mow it with a regular lawn mower. So we hired a lawn service to come out and mow our lawn professionally. And then all of a sudden, the quality of our grass went downhill again. My reports from S&O said they had to treat for bugs and something called "collapse." Man, I was bummed. So I was talking to my brother-in-law, and you know what he told me? When you hire companies to mow your lawn, you are INVITING bugs into your lawn. Yeah. Those lawn care companies don't clean their equipment before they come mow your lawn. So if your neighbor got bugs...you got bugs. Plus, that lawn care company loved them some Roundup. When you use S&O, they are using gentle ways to remove weeds. Combine that with Roundup and you get some bad things happening to your lawn. As much as I hated to do it (because they were some nice guys) I had to let the lawn care company go. That was about 1-2 months ago. Guess what. I'm almost back to being the best lawn on the block. The house down the street that ALSO USES S&O has me beat because they didn't have a setback. Now, I just have to buy a heavy duty lawn mower to get through this thick dark green grass. I guess there could be worse things to be concerned about...but a crappy lawn ain't one as long as I use S&O.
