I was traveling from Seattle back home to Missouri and had trouble with the bike. It was a Monday afternoon. Most dealerships aren't even open on Monday, but this place was and even the service department was open. They got me right in, diagnosed my problem, fixed it and sent me on my way with minimal delay. As a traveler, Harley tries to get you back on the road as quickly as possible. New motorcycle owner here and everyone I dealt with at J&L were great. Dillion was great describing the bike I was interested in and has reached out weeks after my purchase to see how it was going with the bike. The finance team was great making sure the whole process was clear. The part department was great as well as they explained the type of bike I bought and some recommendations with maintenance and what they did to the bike while they had it. The whole process was pretty amazing and I really liked how they approach and process a sale. They could just sell you a bike and say see ya later, but they don't. They covered all the bases and answered questions I had some even before I asked.. And if you don't have your motorcycle endorsement like I didn't, take the new rider safety course here. Knowledgeable, friendly, personal, great service. Got my Sportster belt fixed and replaced and I didn't recognize the bike it was so shined when I got it. I had it at another dealership two months ago but these guys took a real thorough cleaning to it. When I upgrade to a bagger in the spring I'm going here. My bike was in need of repair and went to have it fixed for a leaky carburetor. When I got home it at was still leaking. I took the bike back and J&L repaired it for no charge. I purchased a motorcycle from J&L Harley Davidson. I was told buy my sales rep that I would receive a gift card along with my purchase which was over $18,000. I did not receive a gift card. I worked with their parts department with the motorcycle parked 4 ft away on the same day of purchase. One of the parts I ordered was the wrong size. I called them to see if I could get the correct part. I was told I have to not only purchase the new part but I also have to pay for shipping of the new part and the return for the incorrect part. I am not only upset about that but also the fact that it took a month to get me my parts I the first place. I called and ask what was taking so long. They said they had the parts there but they needed me to pay $21 for shipping the parts. They said the tried to call me but I never received a call or voice mail. I should not have to pay for the mistakes of their employees for shipping these parts. I will not do business again with this company. read more

Really impressive store. Made me wish I lived in Sioux Falls; this dealership must really put on some parties as I've NEVER seen outside bathrooms and a concession area like that, lol. I stopped in to the local Harley Davidson in Sioux Falls and what a great dealer. I was greeting by very friendly staff. I picked up a t-shirt as I'm in town for a couple weeks for work. J&L lost 3, possibly more and hopefully more, customers today. After more than 2 decades and well over $200,000 in estimated combined bike purchases along with an outrageous and uncountable dollar amount in clothing, parts and service purchases it appears the Entenman family has finally chosen greed over customers and long standing loyalty. I was literally told today by "Koop" (Jim Koopman/GM Sales) that due to these times (Covid-19) prices will remain fixed and yes even some above average pricing at their 3 locations and that J&L Leadership had a meeting yesterday (Thursday 5/7) dictating that negotiations will be severely limited and price reductions unacceptable, thus taking full advantage of the current state of affairs instead of trying to build future business. Sadly, for the first time ever in 2 decades of knowing the E family from their Burnside days, I've witnessed the J&L Family choose greed and money over long term customers and adding new ones. I and several of us are severely disappointed in this style of leadership as just a few short years ago Jim E., Jimmy E., and Joe E. would never have done or allowed their business to operate like this. To be clear, this is absolutely their right to do business as they choose and please, but with this review and the many more reviews and complaints I will file from this experience, I hope to urge potential customers to be aware of the haughty and entitled attitude taken by the lead sales team, I urge you to check the regional market out and find a better deal at another non Entenman owned Harley dealer. I have quickly found after 2 calls that both regional, non Entenman owned stores, are willing to negotiate a great deal when J&L is mentioned as turning away a customer over some poor salesmanship. Save some money folks and travel a few hours, start a new friendship at another regional Harley dealership and also order Harley merch online from other stores as the prices are all pretty much fixed. I cannot and will not support or stand for businesses operating to take advantage of a poor economical situation on equipment that is not essential or needed but much rather wanted and enjoyed as a way of life and a way to cope with it. I would expect a business would rather build its brand and loyalty base by giving a little to gain a lot, rather than save a little to lose a lot. This is something that is a basic business concept taught in our higher education systems. read more

We are all the way from AZ and went in to J&L Harley Davidson and had been given a wrong part in Sturgis for my bike and didn't realize it till I was all the way in Sioux Falls SD and I am a retired 20yr Veteran and I wouldn't go in their and lie but I went in and besides them being rude they are ANTI-VETERAN and have never given a military discount like ALL other HD Dealerships do.. I purchased a pair of sunglasses here over Labor Day. Went riding the first weekend of October & got bug splattered. It ate the polarization right off the lenses. Went into this location today to see if they would exchange them, & they refused. I would never have waited so long but I live in WY & it was my first time back since the purchase. All 3 girls debated, then called somebody to ask. Never once told the person I called that I live 8 hours away. They proceeded to tell me that I purchased "cheap" sunglasses & that they wouldn't warranty them. I have spent thousands at this dealership when I lived in Sioux Falls! So glad I never purchased my motorcycle from here!! Seriously disappointed, I will never shop here again... read more

If I could give them a negative star I would. Still steaming over being ripped off for over 1300 for a job that was done improperly, leaving me on the road. I try to renew this complaint every year so Sturgis riders will stay clear of this shop. I worked with them for over a year to resolve this and got stonewalled and finally ended up having to pay the entire amount for the replacement of an inner primary which should have been maybe 300 dollars. They did the work, told me I got a new oil pan, new inner primary, etc. Got about 100 miles down the road and the primary chain was beating the bike to death. Had to pull primary and found missing adjustment bolt. Also noticed the oil pan was still leaking. POS workmanship and no response for help from dealer, except to deny deny deny. Return policy sucks. Purchased items in Black Hills and THIS Sioux Falls dealer refused to take back items despite having the receipt and tags left on. You would think that they'd have a better return policy than the Walmart down the street with the amount of money spent on a Harley. They tarnished their reputation because of $150. Next time we buy a bike, we will rethink buying a Harley.... and definitely not from this dealer... read more

I Bought a new Harley Trike and thought the key was not coming out smoothly after locking it. Took it in to J & L even though I purchased it at roosters in Sioux City. The serviceman came doubt and Lubed the key mechanism and when I tried it again he noticed I was overturning it. He advised me of my mistake politely and courteously and explained why the mechanism could overturn and not let the key come out so that they could remove it for repairs. He never made me feel stupid nor did he laugh at me, very professional, thank you. read more
