Our pocket door needs a true fix: new door, going through the wall to install new track, hangers,…read moreetc. Our budget wasn't ready for that, so Mike worked out a temporary fix and suggested a few little things we could do ourselves. Took about 15 mins and no charge. His business card says, "I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." Look forward to sending Gilgen Handyman more "luck" when our budget's ready to replace the door, or when other repairs are needed around the house.

We previously had several contractors repair a deck which was leaking into the garage. But heavy…read morerains brought a repeat of the leaking after each deck replacement. Hernandez Homes came in and found that it was not the roof of the deck causing the garage leak; it was an elbow pipe that should have never been placed there but was there for years. They found the root of the problem, fixed it, closed up the hole in the garage and painted the garage! They were efficient, meticulous, professional and reasonable! With the recent onslaught of heavy rains, we have had not one problem! Thank you Mr. Hernandez; we now have full use of our garage again! We are looking forward to completing several home projects with Hernandez Homes including a deck extension, landscaping and a swimming pool!

He did…read morerepairs on them because I am a new homeowner and where I grew up we had concrete housing so I didn't know I had to clear the leaves off my roof. The repairs are no longer leaking and it looks nice to me. He does have some negative reviews about his work ethics and I will say that regardless of the times he showed up late or not at all, it wasn't a hinderance in my opinion. He did great for me so I know this review might be controversial to some. Like, I didn't care about that. I cared about the quality of the work and it was good enough for me.

The whole process was handled very professional and all the employees were courteous and polite. They did an OUTSTANDING job and we could not be more pleased. We hired them to do both jobs for us. They put everything back that they moved, did a thorough job of cleaning up and they showed up when they said they would every day. We will ask them to come back when we are ready to have the inside of our home painted. We would highly recommend Porter Painting & Wallpapering to everyone. He is a great communicator and completed everything ahead of schedule! I also appreciate his willingness to wear a mask during Covid. The house is older and needed wallpaper removal (that was decades old) and some minor patchwork and cabinet painting along with all the walls and ceilings. It was a big job but they did such quality work! The cabinet painting alone was done with such care- they removed all the doors and hardware and put it all back- none of this painting around the hinges nonsense- really top notch work! They also matched my paint samples perfectly. I can't recommend them enough!

Within 2-3 days they had a very reasonable number for me and said they could start the next day doing the entire interior (3 tone, baseboards, trim, doors, walls and ceilings) of my house the following day if that would work. I told them that would be fine, and they showed up the next morning with a clear and organized system to start prepping the house for its new interior. It ultimately took the Tom and Sal two full work days (faster than they originally estimated of three days) to completely paint an entire 2,000 sqft. house and it looks INCREDIBLE. I can't begin to say how impressed I am with their communication, professionalism, hustle, intent and clear passion for their job. You would be hard fought to find a team who can meet your needs and beat their quality, time of the job, and price point. 10/10 recommend these guys. Pics to follow!
