Jacob Augustine with J&J Exterminating came out and did our termite inspection a day or two after we called. They did a great job! Although that price always hits us hard all at once I feel it could be a little lower. read more

Recently purchased a home and are under a termite contract with another company. a j&j employee was parked at my house when I arrived home and came up to my window before being able to get out of the vehicle telling me the previous owners had a contract with them and did not pay their bill and if I didn't renew the contract with them immediately he would be removing all the traps. I told the man no problem I wanted to call my husband to verify and I would get back to him and he told me he wouldn't be leaving and that I needed to call my husband right then. He made me put my phone number in his phone and told me he had gone up to my pool house where there were workers trying to figure out the name and number of the new owners. I allowed him to take the traps while I went into the house and set the alarm. J&J this is unacceptable!! That much aggression and threatening over some termite traps??? This has got to be a first for me having my bait traps repoed from my home! To the incredibly rude employee who visited me today, Do better! ABSOLUTELY. Will not recommend this company! read more

J&J Exterminating Lake Charles - Pest Control Near Me - Lake Charles, Louisiana

See all

We recently moved into a new home and called J&J Exterminators to do our preventative pest control. I heard a lot of great things about J&J and from my very first appointment today, I had a wonderful experience. Curtis came out and gave us a reasonable quote and answered all of our questions with his extensive knowledge! Our first service appointment was today, and Devante Limbrick was our pest technician. I was super impressed on his thoroughness in getting all the areas in the interior and exterior of the house. He was very respectful on spraying the interior first so he doesn't get mud inside the house due to the rain earlier. Davante is super friendly and has all the answers to my general pest questions. He went above and beyond in his service call and let us know if we have any issues to reach out to him. We are very happy with the service we received today and looking forward to our next service! Thank you!! read more

We have had a termite contract with them for over 10 years. They have always been very pleasant to deal with.

Hey y'all Brittany, and Mr. Allen, plus the techs are amazing, they were so busy I called at the last minute, needed something done by 12:00 to be honest it didn't look like it was going to happen, and when I say last minute, I mean last minute, called right before closing, received a call back, the next morning Mr. Allen came with the paperwork, couldn't believe it, said he couldn't promise anything 1 hour later he had a tech at the business, no extra charge, and took care of it! I recommend J&J ( hands down ) and before he came he actually taught me how to take care of the situation myself first time I ever used them but now I am only going to use J&J ! Thanks again to the staff. Also thanks again for the free advice on just taking care of it myself, never in my life have I had a business tell me how to safely take control of the situation without me signing a contract first! Honest staff. If I could rate a 10 star I would've! Try them, thank me later! read more

Jay from J&J was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly courteous and sincere. He took the time to explain everything to me. He was very honest with me about my house and let me know that i had time left before i needed my next treatment. I never felt like he was just trying to sell me something. I truly felt like he had my best interest at heart. Will definitely recommend him to all my real estate clients! read more

J &J has been one of our worst experiences for service that I have ever dealt with in any fashion, lacking any professionalism. The basis of this review is driven by the inability of this company to work around the customer schedule. They do not communicate with the customer and choose to argue with the customer when they attempt to resolve issues. Several times the Technician would arrive at our property unannounced and would be turned away due to the fact no one was home. When I spoke to Rob, the Tech, he said this is a common occurrence with customers and the scheduling rep. does this to them often, making their job more difficult. When I tried to address the issue with the company, I was told that that is the way they do business, and the representative I spoke with began to argue with me over the contract. We paid a rather large sum to have a termite control system that was supposed to be a one time payment for a lifetime, then it became an annual fee and a laundry list of limitations and lack of scheduling considerations from the main desk. I received an automated call from them in August regarding the account telling me it would be closed the following April and the bait traps would be removed. In September, without any notification, an unannounced tech arrived while we were at work and began removing the bait traps. He left parts of them in my yard which were unintentionally destroyed by my mower as I did not see them. This is by far the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered, and not only did they upset the homeowner, the upset the person that hires them for a major company that uses them on a 770,000 sq ft property. We will be changing our account on the property and I will be reporting them to the better business bureau, unless this is resolved immediately. read more

Tried them out and found that their technician was usually unavailable to quickly respond to our request to spot treat pests found in our house's living areas. Technician never called prior to coming out to do reoccurring pest control resulting in us receiving only half the service (outside the house) we paid for each month. The tech's excuse was that we weren't home when he came by to treat our house so he couldn't get inside. Tech flat refused to treat fire ants unless he saw them on his monthly visit and the mound was close by the house. read more
