My elderly mother-in-law also accidentally called Burnworth's and they charged her the $175 to come out and told her that it could cost up to $15,000 to replace her AC. She has a simple house and this just seemed mean. After I spoke to my mother-in-law I got her to call the same company that I ended up using and they were able to fix her unit for $400. Once he went through that he said it was an ice blockage in the water fill line. He ran a piece of wire that I had up the line and said it was fixed. Water never came out while he was here (10 mins max). He left after charging me $100.00 and still after several hours it didn't work.
