Only carpenters for interior work on Unit 2 showed up. The interior work on Unit 2 was a separate project. When talking with the owner of the company, all conversations involved shouting at me. The contractor did not use proper ladder safety. The feet of ladders where not down. Ladders were not tied off. Ladders were used on un-even surfaces. When instructed to fix these conditions they argued back and belittled me. Eventually the ladders were tied off in one location, but not two as required. When a ladder was placed on a lower roof level, protection for the roof was not provided. The house is older, and it is a requirement to assume all of the paint is lead based. When interviewing the contractor prior to hiring, they stated that all paint would be removed in a safe and legal manner. The paint was hand scraped and sanded, throwing dust everywhere. At the end of the day, the paint dust and chips were swept up, not following MA state law on lead safe work. When i requested that the contractors comply with safe scraping and sanding methods, they left the site. Plastic over windows was not fully taped and air tight. This does not prevent the lead dust from entering the interior. They only taped the windows immediately adjacent to the work, not the windows within 5 feet of the corner on the opposite side they were working.

The existing ceiling was installed terribly, and we also needed some new soffits built out to replace a DIY bodge job that would have been hilarious if it wasn't my house... The team at Pristine Acoustical Ceilings was awesome. Scott came out, gave me an extremely competitive and honest quote, and between accepting the job and starting the project we met on Facetime a bunch of times so that he could answer my questions and offer advice on things that would help prepare. This was extremely helpful - things like "If you hire a plumber to reroute this pipe for $100 now, you can get an additional 2" of ceiling height for the next 20 years". I'm not a contractor, just a dude who wanted a nice basement, so these weren't things I'd have thought of myself. His experience and insight really made a huge difference in getting the best result possible. When the job started they were everything you want from a contractor. On time, on budget, and willing to work with us when we needed to make a couple of small changes here and there. They left my house immaculate every time they left for the day, and the end result is 100% what we were hoping for and more. My ceiling looks fantastic, the add-ons we wanted (which required some construction) are perfect and all of the pointers and suggestions that Scott made were spot-on. The work done was perfectly and my basement looks amazing. And once again thanks to Scott's suggestions and tips on how we could optimize the efforts, it came out better than if I had hired another company to simply come in and replace what was there. Five stars all the way, couldn't be happier. Hire these guys, they know their business and did an absolutely fantastic job for my home.

The church property committee in my church hired Scott and his team at Pristine Acoustical Ceilings…read moreto install a new, commercial grade, 4,400 square feet drop ceiling in a lower-level hall at the church. This hall is used for musical performances, ballet and art classes and theatrical performance rehearsals so we needed good sound absorption properties in this new ceiling. We asked Scott if he could get "CertainTeed" ceiling tile for this job since the product meets fire codes, has superior sound absorption qualities and has a clean textural appearance. Scott promptly provided pricing and tile samples for four different tile and grid options. We selected the best option for our purposes. Before installing the new ceiling, Scott's team demolished an existing 1'x 1'ceiling that was originally installed in 1957!!! The installation of the new ceiling was tricky since the grid needed to be attached to a coffered concrete ceiling. Also, there where existing heating pipes that extended below the old ceiling that needed to be worked around. Scott and his team problem solved and suggested creative ways to mitigate the issue. The project went off without a hitch!! Scott and his team did everything we asked. Our church members are thrilled with the results, especially the music groups that use the space. The sound quality in the room is far superior to what was there before. Also, the whole room is now so much brighter than it was previously. We will surely hire Pristine Acoustical Ceilings in the future for all our ceiling needs. We wholeheartedly recommend Scott and his team at Pristine Acoustical Ceilings for their professionalism and superior quality craftsmanship. Kathy G.

After speaking with several contractors, we were fortunate enough to find Leo, who gave the roof deck a complete facelift! We initially hired Leo to update the siding of our top deck and replace the door leading to the bottom deck. During our first consultation meeting with him, he had brainstormed many design concepts and ideas we had not even thought of that we ultimately went with - we highly appreciated the creativity and effort to make our image a reality. He was incredibly communicative, and we really felt like we were working as a team. We ended up having him replace the railing of our upper deck and added a privacy wall with a beautiful design. He handcrafted the railing and involved us in every step of the design process. He also replaced rotting wood that was exposed beneath the siding, fixed a broken outlet, and completely replaced a rotting window frame. He also put in place LED light strips beneath the railing to create a sense of ambience we didn't even realize we were looking for! Leo was always very transparent with the timing of each phase of this project as well as any associated costs. Leo went above and beyond and returned twice after our final payment to add some minor touch ups to ensure the deck was as picture-perfect as can be! We have many upcoming projects in our new home and hope to work with Leo on all of them. We have already begun brainstorming together what we can do with our bottom deck. We would recommend Leo a thousand times over and are looking forward to collaborating with him again!

They returned in June of the next year to correct. Again, the paint was peeling after 3 or 4 months. They returned a 2nd time, but not until the following year. They repainted again with the same result. After that, they said the warranty was over and "there must be something wrong with Our house". No previous painters had this problem. If you are considering Arch, you should also know that the painting is not actually done by their employees. They sub-contract the work to dodgy crews with no Arch Signage on their trucks. I could attach more pictures, but suffice to say this was not in one spot but pretty much everywhere they painted.
