I was in need of having two coconut palm trees removed from my front yard and called this company from a flier that had just been left in my mailbox. I called and spoke with an individual who arranged to have an estimator come to my residence the next day. The estimator arrived promptly and gave me a very fair estimate for the removal. He scheduled his crew to come out, and they arrived on time as promised and did a great job of cutting down and removing the trees and cleaning up afterward. We had J & H out earlier this year and they did an outstanding job, and so it only made sense to call them when we had oaks that needed trimming. What a farce! I got a quote, and set up a date for the work to be done. The day came and went. They never showed up, didn't let me know they weren't coming, and didn't respond to my numerous texts and phone calls. Early the next week, they called and rescheduled for the next Friday. I asked for a confirmation on morning or afternoon, didn't get that, and spent all day trying to get someone to tell me when or if they were coming. Finally, at 2:30 in the afternoon, they let me know that they would be coming later in the day. Sorry, but I've spent two days off of work waiting for you and now I've got an appointment. If you had ever called to confirm the time, I'd have let you know that. So, I'll be finding a new tree trimming service that stands behind their word, communicates times and dates, and is responsive when asked a question. read more

OH my goodness!!! I've lived here in the Acreage and have never before had this great of tree service. I've used several local companies before finding this one by a local flier. It was a big job with Huge Oaks that needed reduction of canopies and I had nearly a dozen dead pines and old stumps from previous incomplete tree service jobs that James said no problem , why we're here... Job was no hack work, my yard was cleaned up and brought to side of road.... my beautiful lawn was not torn up... and the price was UNBELIEVABLE!!! It was the best $$$ spent. Unfortunately i cannot say that i had the same experience as everyone else. The first two times we used this company we had a great experience. So we decided to use them again for our third tree removal. This time it seemed to a nightmare. We hired them to remove 2 trees and to stump grind 4 more stumps. The price was reasonable. When i got home i noticed the pile of trees in my swale were not cut into the proper removal lengths as i was told was going to happen. Then my new swing gate had been damaged on the top. When i spoke to the owner he insisted that the gate could have been damaged prior to their visit. When he sent his son back out he said that his other brother had probably damaged the gate. The worker he had with him also said that the damage was from the tree branch falling on it. The city came out and said that they would not remove the tree piles due to the tree branches and trunks were not cut properly. After speaking to James he sent someone out who only cut the tree trunks in half but never touched the tree piles. So i had to called another tree service (another expense for me) and they came out and cut everything up correctly. (The city is now picking everything up). I asked the tree service while they were there to look where my big tree was cut to see if the stump was grinded far enough into the ground. Surprise surprise it was not even close. So again another expense for me to get it grinded down. I have put many calls into the company to try and have them rectify their mishandling of everything and continually i get either no response or an "I told you so" from them. But they did call me 2 weeks ago to give a google review. Well here it is. read more
