From the moment we walked in, the vibe felt like a cozy cabin retreat with rustic accents. It was clear that a lot of intentional thought went into designing this space, it's one of those cafés where you keep noticing little details the longer you're inside. Merch is everywhere in a very on-brand way. Immediately to the right, there are T-shirts, mugs, and other coffee-related items for sale, including ground coffee beans. Just about everything is branded with the café's name. Personally, I'm not sure I'd wear a hat or T-shirt with a restaurant's name unless I worked there, but I can see how fans of the brand would enjoy it. Seating options are plentiful and varied, which I really appreciated. You can sit inside, on the rooftop, or on the outside patio. According to their website, they also rent out the Legacy Room, rooftop, fire pit in the rear, or even the entire house, with pricing clearly listed. They also host monthly events, which makes this spot feel very community-oriented. While it wasn't super crowded when we arrived, the chatter was lively and created a nice, welcoming energy. The staff matched that vibe, friendly, warm, and attentive from the start. The menu offers a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies, along with breakfast, lunch, and a custom brunch menu on Sundays. I would love to see more vegetarian options added to the menu, though. That said, there was a solid pastry selection, including several vegan and gluten-free options, which was nice to see. I ordered one of the January specials, the White Mocha Valencia Latte, and my husband went with an Americano. Drinks are available in 12oz, 16oz, and 20oz sizes. We also ordered the Flatbread. The online menu listed mushrooms as an optional topping, but they didn't have any available, so I opted for no toppings. We decided to eat the flatbread there, and a very amicable young lady brought it out to our table. I really appreciated that the staff took the time to double-check with the kitchen before saying no to anything. I asked if they had crushed red peppers for the very cheesy flatbread, and after checking, she let me know they didn't. My latte was enjoyable, well balanced and sweet without being overbearing. The flatbread was just okay for me. I wasn't a fan of the marinara, and I think crushed red peppers would have helped elevate the flavor had they been available. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Woodlands. The space was clean, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was ideal for writing, reading, or catching up with friends over coffee. It's definitely a thoughtfully designed café with a lot of potential, and I'm glad we finally made it in.

It is a further off the highway when compared with Starbucks or Just Love Coffee, but if you need to spend some time hanging out, then i recommend it here. I only got a coffee with an extra shot, but the coffee was good. Limited menu like a boutique shop, but seasonal drinks and some other things. It apparently turns into a bourbon and martini bar at night, but I can't imagine I'd ever be here unless I was driving through. The shop itself is very big. Lots of open spaces, tables, outlets, etc. Even a separate room away from the music playing and people hanging out. I don't think it was intended to be a "quiet" space for work, but it was a nice reprieve from the noise to get through a couple of meetings, and is right up front so there's a lot of natural light from the street. And I don't mean to say the main area is loud - but you know coffee shops. Standard laid back music playing and people having conversations. You could definitely get work done from the main area, but it was nice to have a quieter space, too. They have some outside seating on the sidewalk, if you have your pup with you or if its just a nice day. I did not notice if there were outlets outside. Wifi works great. Limited food options, but i was just here for the caffeine anyway.

Our order was the matcha and peppermint mocha both with almond milk. Their simple syrup is made in house which almost always denotes a quality establishment. Both were delicious and hit the spot. It's a cute place with lots of room for a lot of people to hang out without being on top of people. Although, from a couple of conversations around us, it appeared to also be a place where locals hang out and talk up the pretty lady customers, lol. Which in both situations we witnessed, we watched as the females politely excused themselves and left. This will be a great stop on future roadtrips.

Such an adorable little shop!…read more We stopped by while visiting my brother up in Blackshear. We're from South Florida, but we're always trying to explore local coffee shops - and we're so glad we tried out The Book & Bean! It's a cozy little shop with countless books to read. It has a nice setup, and although they told us they're still trying to get things organized, it had all the space necessary to sit down, enjoy a nice meal and a nice book. Surprised to see it had a drive-thru - so convenient for the locals!! Hard to come by a great coffee shop where you can either dine-in or use the drive-thru. That's amazing. The staff was so very friendly and helpful. They were on top of every little detail and assisted us with any questions we may have had. We've been to a lot of coffee shops where they just could not get a latte right - but The Book & Bean got it RIGHT! We all ordered different lattes and they were delicious, steamed to the perfect temperature, and they were the perfect level of sweetness. We have our own coffee business down here in Broward, and we are just so glad when we come across perfect like coffee shops like this one. If I lived here, I'd come walking every day, lol. We also all ordered breakfast sandwiches and the donuts, and they were so yummy! We left full and satisfied. Thank you to The Book & Bean for providing us with a great breakfast and a great time. We can't wait to come back the next time we visit the adorable town of Blackshear!
