For a business that advertises themselves as Honest and Reliable that they are not! They are fronting this wholesome All American take to the public but in reality they are scammers, rip off artists and liars. Don't be mislead, they are as crooked as the rest of the auto shops and dealerships.They put women at the front desk so as a male customer as most men are the ones interacting with auto shops so basically one is put in a situation where you can't complain or dispute a repair jobs or the illegal markups on their repairs .They treat you right one time or twice at first but they will fraudulently take your money on the next go around. read more

I needed a compression test did on my engine, the test takes about an hour, it was not done, the receptionist said it was s vaccum line & the problem was fixed truck still rides bad. These ppl are crooks don't do business with them. They charged $120 an hour for the diagnosis read more

Had an engine misfire type of scenario while driving up the Florida turnpike. Was very fortunate to find J&D Automotive Repair just off the turnpike. They were booked for nearly the entire week, but they were so kind knowing that we were out of towners and had to stay at a hotel while awaiting repair. Anyway, they took the time to diagnose and repair the misfire issue on our pathfinder and get us right back on the road. Price was totally fair, even actually really good, for what they did for me. Took my '71 Plymouth Cuda in to have a new 3rd member put in. I purchased the 3rd member from Doctor Diff (3.23, sure-track II) as you never know when a quick rain shower will pass over head in FL and an open diff with big block (tons of torque) is not a good combination for traction (I had already had 1 close call). I dropped off the car, the diff, gaskets and fluid on my appointment day and about 5 hours latter I got a call that it was done. I picked up the car, the old parts and drove home. Everything was great. Cost was reasonable, service was quick. From the pictures on his site, he seems to do a lot on muscle cars and classics. I think I found my shop for future needs. read more

Very kind people! Did an absolutely amazing job with my alignment, didn't wait even an hour. I paid around a hundred, but my alignment was completely out of whack. I went to Tires Plus for new tires the year before, and they didn't inform me that they weren't going to do the alignment with the tire package. My new tires were ruined, but they let me know before getting an alignment that they were, so as to not ruin another set. Very glad I went!! read more

I knew they'd be able to take care of the problems with both of our autos but they did so in the friendliest manner! When I called and they answer the phone with a smile, it makes the process less intimidating. I brought my grandson's car into JD automotive after he lost control and jumped a curb. The damage was significant but, according to JD, fixable. Approx 1 week later, we were told that the car was repaired - significant front end work totaling $1500 but we were told that JD was unable to align it. We picked up the vehicle and drove it to a body repair shop to address the remaining damage. They gave us a preliminary estimate, we showed them the receipt for the front end work that had been done, and left the car their for the body work. Because we told them that JD couldn't align the car, the body shop indicated that they would setup an alignment, first, ,before doing any work. We were called 2 days later and informed that the car could not be aligned as there was significant damage to the firewall, preventing proper support to an area that was, supposedly, repaired by JD. The damage ( I have pictures) was not hard to see. In fact ,as they had the front end of the car torn apart for repair, the damage was so obvious that they never should have attempted to fix the car at all. When I called to speak to JD about this, I was told that they did what they could but don't do firewall work. It's totally inconceivable that no one could see that damage and even more inconceivable that they would charge us what they did for work that should never have been done. Let me say that I've done business with them in the past and was a satisfied customer. I'm completely disappointed with this effort and what I perceive to be a shabby job and potentially dangerous to my grandson by releasing it in that condition. BTW, the body shop never ever charged us for the attempted alignment! read more

Have been a long time customer of J&D. I have sent them so many customers I can't even count. My whole family and my fiancé's family goes to them with any automotive needs. Recently had a problem with my car and took it in, Darrel insisted he had fixed it even though I asked if he could drive the car on a longer test drive. Picked the car up paid $280 and the car broke down on the way home. Darrel told me there was nothing he could do for me and wouldn't refund the money I paid for having him work on the car. Very disappointed. I even went back in and asked if he could refund some of the money "not all of it" so I can pay to take it somewhere else and he refused stating he gave me such a good deal in the first place. Anyway if you want to risk and maybe get your car fixed J & D is awesome. read more

Can't say enough about this little Mom and Pop place. Not much to look at compared to the big name places, but that's only window dressing you end up paying for in a long run. I'm tired of being ripped off by those other places, especially when they try talking you into multiple part replacements and such. This place replaced only what I knew was needed and they also make up for it in so many other ways. Friendly, fast and very, very reasonable in their pricing. They are very courteous and friendly from the front desk right on through to the shop. Darrel is very fair and will not charge you for something that doesn't need to be done to your vehicle. Their hourly rate is very reasonable and I have never shown up to any surprises on my bill when I pick up my vehicle. They also get the job done when they say they will.
