Lovely cafe nestled in downtown Harlingen. We both had Reuben Panini's. Delicious and very nice serving. The sauerkraut was warm clear through and the pasta salad was good also. He had chips. Tea was very good too. And my favorite coconut cream pie! Cute decor and clean place. More than likely will return again. Service was good and the food came out quickly. Food was overly priced and small for what it's worth. Definitely don't recommend this "cafe" The price for a can of coke is criminal! How are you gonna charge 2.25 for a tiny can of coke! Cafes are my favorite go to anywhere. J&B's Cafe offers a variety of selections, also offering specials. You look over the menu, order at the counter with a friendly smile that accommodates your food selections. The walls are covered with a pictorial history of Harlingen from the early1900's to today. The ladies were so friendly and attentive. Dee was awesome! The Muffaletta and Hot Italian were amazing! The Raspberry Cream Soda hit the spot on this hot, muggy day in Harlingen. I'm in town for work from San Antonio. I did a quick Google maps search for lunch spots near me and luckily J & B's Cafe popped up. This is a cute little cafe with a lovely vibe. A perfect spot to catch up on my emails and grab a delicious sandwich (I had the Ruben) and pasta salad. I was there for about an hour, and in that time I saw many locals come in and be greeted by name. I can't say enough about this place! Thank you! read more

Excellent service and friendly staff. Food came out super quick for lunch and it was really tasty! The broccoli cheese soup was soooo good! Paired it with the Turkey Raspberry sandwich and it was filling but overwhelming. Very delicious! read more

Totally love it! Great staff, great atmosphere, great food! 10/10 recommend. I would greatly recommend buffalo melt and the classic burger but man the buffalo melt is delicious! What a great cafe! On a sweet downtown street in Harlingen. The food was fantastic! I had a monte cristo with a side salad and the owner (who was simply delightful) gave us a complimentary creme brûlée: sooooo delicious! This place is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! read more

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try this local Cafe. We were impressed. My husband really enjoyed the tortilla soup, Reuben sandwich and chicken salad with cranberries and pecans on a croissant. I loved my veggie wrap with red pepper hummus and feta on whole wheat. The staff was fantastic. Next time we are in South Texas, we will definitely stop by for lunch again. read more
