Today I was at landromat in the evening, the woman worked alone and behaved very aggressively. closed the door at 8:40 when we were inside, my husband could not go outside to talk on the phone. The woman replied that if she left, she would not be able to get back in, but the laundry was supposed to be open until 10:00 pm. when they took things out of the dryer, she walked around aggressively and said that she had just washed the floors. Never really had to use a laundromat before but had 2 bulky spreads that wouldn't fit into my machine. Didn't know what to do with needing quarters etc but people there were helpful. Would suggest bringing your own soap, Clorox etc as I think they were a little pricy there read more

This guy is what my dad would call a "shyster." First off, a few weeks ago he was charging $15 for our comforter, and now it's $25/$30. Is he charging this much so he can pay his Spanish female employees more? Well, that I would be okay with. But he is not. I'm going to guess he doesn't even pay them a fair wage. I also gave the woman who took my comforter my laundry detergent (safe for my child's skin) and asked that she use our detergent, and also to please not use any fabric softener (my baby has very sensitive skin). Well, not only did they "lose" my detergent, but they also used their God-awful smelling chemical-laden fabric softener on the comforter. This place is awful. We won't be using them again. read more

I dropped off 3 bags of laundry for washing and folding on Saturday afternoon 8/16/14 around 3:30pm. On Monday 8/18/14 around 11am, I gave in my docket and was given 2 bags of Laundry in return. I had not made a detailed inventory of each item submitted initially. However, when I unpacked the 2 bags at home, I noticed that a white cardigan was missing which I knew was definitely dropped off as this needed urgent washing for a trip I am taking on Friday. I do not know what else, if anything, is missing as I did not take an initial inventory. I went back to J & A Laundry today to ask about the missing item, thinking perhaps there was a 3rd bag they should have given me. The employee's position was that there were only 2 bags to be returned to me. When I pointed out that I had an item missing from my laundry, she became quite belligerent and indicated she did not believe me. I asked her for her boss's name and number to lodge a complaint. She refused to give this info to me. I gave her my name and number, but refused to tell her what particular item was missing as it was apparent it would make no difference to her. I am guessing since there was no 3rd bag to be collected and the bully tactics of the employee, this item and perhaps others are in the closet of an employee and will not be seen again. I have subsequently emailed the man who is registered as the owner of the business (Joe Marino) after a Google search to let him know why: 1. He will be losing my lifetime value as a new customer; 2. I will be posting a negative review on Yelp as a warning to others. If you do drop off anything at this place, make a detailed list of the items and get them to sign for it. read more

In the middle of the corona virus mess, we decided to buy a new mattress cover. I wanted to launder it before I put it on the bed. When I got it the label said "launder in commercial machine." They were right - it wouldn't fit in our (very big) front loader. It was 5:30 on Saturday night and I had thrown our old cover in the garbage, so I needed to get this thing laundered. I called J&A and told him the story. He was about to close but he said to bring it over and he'd wait for me. He stayed open while the cover washed until 7PM, but it had to be dried. He said that because it was so big (king) and thick (all organic cotton including the fill) it would take a long time to dry. By now it was after 7 and the owner said that he would put it in the dryer with a 90 minute dry cycle and that both of us should go home, have our dinners and meet back at the store at 8:30. So at 8:30 we met at the store, the cover was dry and he folded and bagged it. My husband and I thought that was so incredibly kind that I felt I had to go online and tell people. read more

This laundromat lost or one of the employees must have stole one of my expensive pair of pants and another pair of sweatpants after drop off service. When I confronted one of the workers about my missing item she seemed distraught - as if it could never happen. I am still trying to get reimbursed for these items after back and forth talk with the owner who claims there's "no way" they could have lost these items. They only ironically went missing after I dropped them off at this laundromat. Never going back. read more

Absolutely the worst! This is my first and last time dropping off laundry here. My 5 year old niece would have done a better job. The clothes were clearly thrown into a washing machine together regardless of color. My white sheets look so dingy and disgusting. In addition, the clothes were thrown in the bag, barely folded! Everything looked wrinkled and destroyed. Will NEVER come here again. read more

Just returned from picking up laundry that has been missing since November. I've been in there at least 12 time since and spent hundreds of dollars are their service, but no mention of missing bag. Finally received a call but when I went to retrieve it ..the 2 workers who were there had no idea what I was talking about. In fact, her attitude was pretty much, too bad. Had to repeat the story of the phone call several times. Finally moving from the front to the back area she located it..wasn't hard.just too lazy. As I'm paying the $20 she is speaking Spanish to her co-worker believing I wouldn't understand, I repeated that they should be careful as people do understand Spanish. The older women was more rude then the younger one. Always an attitude with them when I bring my business. Management just lost me due to their behavior. Too many other places within blocks to accept this crappy treatment by these workers with an attitude. Should have read these reviews before using them...no better for next place. read more
