ANYWAYS - i joined about a two years ago. I've been on other online sites for several years and mainly found guys that just want one thing (we all know what) - so i decided to try the old school route. Debbie was fantastic - I mean, she is a really really nice woman who you can automatically tell cares a lot about what she does. I signed up and waited (very impatiently) - my kneejerk reaction was to call & get my money back but they explained that we're not looking for just any old d-bag, we're looking for the man I'm meant to marry. When put into context, I actually appreciated them being meticulous with selecting my matches versus just filling a quota and wasting my money. And now here we are... about 8 months ago I was matched with a guy who honestly at first i thought was going in the friend zone. But they told me if i had a good time on the first date, to see him again. I'm glad I listened..... Because now I'm engaged! Nathan is truly the guy I never saw coming and wouldn't have likely picked for myself. But now i cant picture my life without him. He's everything I've ever wanted, I was just too focused on the wrong things to realize it. So, I give my heartfelt thanks to Debbie and the team - I gave y'all a pretty hard time and shouldn't have. There were extended periods with little or no communication, and the referrals I received did not meet my expectations. When I raised concerns about one referral's background, I felt those concerns were minimized and that I was encouraged to proceed despite my discomfort. I understand that a matchmaking service cannot guarantee chemistry or a relationship. However, for the amount I paid, I expected consistent communication, thoughtful referrals, and a responsive approach when I raised concerns. I requested a partial refund of $2,600 and followed up in writing. As of my most recent follow-up, I had not received a response or a satisfactory resolution. I am sharing my experience so prospective customers can make an informed decision. I would still welcome a fair resolution from SC Matchmakers.

But there were two matches that I had multiple dates with. Paid way too much for this service! I could have done (and did) better background checks on the guys they matched me with!

They ask you for extensive personal info and financial info and once they determine how much you can afford they apply high pressure tactics to get your money. Then they don't contact you afterwards. You wait - then call and they tell you it takes time. They never contact you at all unless they are responding to emails or calls you initiate. One bad match in first 7 months, then after I complained, they sent me 2 in one week. One of the matches was married with no plans to divorce and also with a criminal record. For assaulting a woman. So much for screening. In my correspondence with them they do not even know how many matches I paid for and they are rude when you call them and ask why 4 or 5 months go by with no word from them. It's a total scam.
