The leather soles were cracked on both shoes, cracked beyond repair. I thought he should just toss them (or chuck them - see what I did there). But...Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, so.... $45 bucks later and the chukka boots were brought back from the dead! This little wonder of a shop reconstructed them and they now have a whole new life. I wore them so much that the rubber soles began peeling away only a few years into owning them, and I've kept them in my shoe closet for maybe about 9 years since. I finally decided to look into getting them repaired. Michael had done such a wonderful job with replacing my worn-out nomasei moccasin soles, that I came back to see if he could revive my sandals. No call and when I showed up they were ready but one of the bands was not connected to the watch and only one guy could fix so I had to come back. Said I'd get a call when ready but I did not. Then i realized light wasn't working on one of my fixed watches. Dropped that off when i picked up the last watch. To pick up the third watch again was told I'd get a call but did not. Waited a week and came back and he said maybe I didn't know what button to press for the light which still wasn't working as usual. Said I'd need to buy a new one they couldn't fix light. That's fine but don't tell me it's bc I don't know how to use my own watch.
