After several unsuccessful attempts to follow up on the status, I finally went to pick them up--ready or not. I was told the boots had been ready for two weeks and that I had been texted. I showed my phone to confirm there was no such notification from the number they claimed. Instead of acknowledging the oversight and apologizing, I was rudely dismissed. Customer service and attitude are far from professional, and the quality of work is average at best. The only positive was the proximity of the location. I came across JSR Shoe Repair and was impressed with the reviews. I decided to give them a try. Initially, Romy didn't think it could be done but after further inspection, said that he could do it. When I picked them up, both boots fit perfectly. He did an amazing job and thought that the price for the repair was fair. But when I (finally) switched over to my fall shoes that I hadn't seen since before the pandemic, because there was no where to go, I found a couple pairs of boots that needed some love. I have to admit, I almost walked out of here and gave up a few times. When I came in, Bob immediately said he couldn't help me and acted like he didn't want my business. I was shocked to encounter this kind of treatment, since the reviews were so good. But I needed my shoes repaired, so I dug in a little deeper on why he felt he couldn't repair them and we were able to come up with a way to fix both pairs. He at one point told me he couldn't polish my white boots and gestured to all the colors of polish he had, and I was the one who picked out the "vanilla" he ended up using that matched perfectly. Again, the vibe was he didn't even want to try to find a solution to my shoe repair needs. The next shock was the price - $40 to fix each pair! This was more than I had paid for both shoes, because one pair were 90s vintage given to me by mom mom and the other were a beautiful pair of cowboy boots given to me by a friend. Both needed a heel replacement and a little polish. The 90s vintage ones needed some gluing on the heel. Again, I almost walked out, but I gave him my money and hoped for the best. What I got was actually a pretty good shoe repair. Was it $40 worth? Not really. But I am happy with the result. Bob was also MUCH nicer when I came back. And the shoes were done a day early, which was great. I think all things considered, I would come back here, because I know they do a good job. Almost didn't get there, though. I hope I don't encounter the same customer service issues next time.

Once again, I have failed to take before/after photos of my shoes to show off how well Michael…read morerepaired them. I have a pair of leather sandals I bought in Italy from a street vendor in 2014. I wore them so much that the rubber soles began peeling away only a few years into owning them, and I've kept them in my shoe closet for maybe about 9 years since. I finally decided to look into getting them repaired. Michael had done such a wonderful job with replacing my worn-out nomasei moccasin soles, that I came back to see if he could revive my sandals. The new soles he put on have more traction and are much better quality than the original soles, and I'm thrilled to that my shoes that I'm quite sentimental about can be worn again. Thanks Michael!

I dropped off three watches…read moreto get battery replacements and we confirmed a pickup day a few days out but they said I'd get a call when ready. No call and when I showed up they were ready but one of the bands was not connected to the watch and only one guy could fix so I had to come back. Said I'd get a call when ready but I did not. Then i realized light wasn't working on one of my fixed watches. Dropped that off when i picked up the last watch. To pick up the third watch again was told I'd get a call but did not. Waited a week and came back and he said maybe I didn't know what button to press for the light which still wasn't working as usual. Said I'd need to buy a new one they couldn't fix light. That's fine but don't tell me it's bc I don't know how to use my own watch.
