Izabel previously cut my hair once and I was happy with it. My cut was good so I wanted to giver another try, this time i wanted cut and highlights. I rarely return to the same person twice, It's really hard to find someone who does both cuts and color good. The reason I'm giving her only 1 star is because of my experience with her. I had called her the day before to see if she had any cancellations and she said she could take me in at 8am. I was supposed work a few hours of over time at work but I really wanted to get my hair done so I agreed. Anyways, I show up 5 minutes till 8 and wait. 20 minutes later my phone rings and it's her, She tells me her alarm didn't go off . So I asked her if she was going to come ASAP, I even told her that I would wait for her and if she could work on me and her next appointment at the same time (many hairstylist do that), she told me that she doesn't do that. She also said it was not enough time for her to get dressed for her next appointment.. What about me?! I was super upset especially because she didn't sound sorry, it was more like... too bad for you. Not only did I miss out on overtime but I drove 30 minutes to her shop, waited almost 30 minutes. So a couple of hours later I get a voicemail from her, she apologizes and offers me 50% off. This time she sounds really sorry, probably because she had time to think about the consequences of her actions. I understand oversleeping and alarms not going off happen to everyone but when it comes to running a business that entails providing customer service to your clients you need to be considerate of their time as well. Time is money and not just you! If she would of been apologetic and said everything she said in the voicemail the first time she called me, I wouldnt of been as upset. Futhermore, her first reaction was her true reaction which showed that she doesnt care about her clients. That's why I'm never returning to her and hope no one else experiences this with her. read more

I am truly thankful for the results i have recieved at Izabelz salon. Not only has she done my hair in ways i thought i could never do, but has helped me to style it in ways i have been trying for years! I have curly hair and have tried all kinds of products and cuts, but it wasn't until Isabel that i was truly happy with the outcome. She has managed to give me everything i wanted in a hair stylest and i feel great every time i leave her salon. My hair has also become more healthy from the use of products she has recomended. I have referred several people to Izabelz salon who are just as satisfied. Isabel herself is an extremley talented hairstylest and has a great attitude to go along with that. Izabel is great -- always gives me a great haircut (I have long layers, wavy hair) and always really sweet and fun to talk to. My mom goes to her mainly for hair color (blond highlights and lowlights on very fine hair), and she's really happy with Izabel's work too. She's very affordable too -- $40 or so for my haircut, blow dry, and style. Not sure how much my mom pays for color. I'm lucky to have found her about a year ago or so. read more

I've had amazing and horrible experiences with hairstylists, and my experience with Isabel wasn't either. I really liked my haircut...all but my bangs. I asked for bangs that could be worn straight down or swept to the side, and the result didn't make me want to wear them either way. I took in a picture of what I wanted as well, just so everything was clear. Maybe my bangs came out this way because my hair is thick? But I've had wispy bangs before... Right now, they are too short =/ straight down makes me look like a disheveled anime and to the side doesn't work at all. The next couple of weeks will involve a lot of hairspray, bobby pins, and hats. But like I said, the rest of the cut was good. She gave me the layers that I wanted and the thinning out that I needed. Her salon is very clean and Isabel herself is a very nice and courteous stylist. I really liked how when I pointed something out, she graciously fixed it rather than acting hassled as many stylists often do. read more

My whole family goes to this hair salon for a couple of years to get haircuts by Izabel Nuno. She does a great job for me, and my colored hair is always looking very natural. Both my kids love going there as she listens careful for their demands. Even my husband is now convinced that a barbershop is not the best place for him. I've gone to Izabelz a few times but have visited Heather. I have been going to her for about 3 years when she was a Red's. Having curly hair it has been hard to find a stylist who understands my mess. Heather has curly hair herself so she knows how to tame it. I haven't gone to anyone else since her. She knows the right techniques and knows the right products to use. In addition to her hair cutting talent she also knows how to dye hair correctly. I have used her to add peek a boos, blue streaks, and purple streaks. She made it looks exquisite. It was classy more than trashy look. It's hard to tell from the photos on Izabelz website just what she is marketing: clothing and modelling ... or hairstyles? The focus isn't clear. But then neither is Izabel. If you choose to call Izabelz to make that first important contact (and according to her website that's welcome -- as it is in most salons everywhere) and you happen to catch Izabel in real-time: It is Not OK. Izabel was taken aback and stunned, and flatly, coldly and rudely told me to go to her website to make an appointment. There was absolutely no uptake from Izabel -- not even a smidgen of pleasantness -- that showed any appreciation for a motivated, prospective client doing their diligence via Yelp, then calling to make contact for a personal service, which hair cut and color absolutely is. I asked about color products used and other sylists at the salon (not on the website), and in icy cold, disdainful tones, Izabel informed me of the one color product line she uses, and then deadpanned: "the other stylists are independent, you'd have to contact them." But how? (She did not welcome visiting the salon to contact the other stylists or to pick up business cards, et cetera.) Less than zero communication and people skills, forget "best practices." Never encountered anything like it anywhere on the planet. Perhaps my early Friday evening call caught a lackluster Izabel off-guard and off duty, but I wouldn't wish that bizarre experience on anyone, as a weekend opener. It was a nasty surprise, given most of her reviews on Yelp. If calls after a certain hour are not welcome, then put hours of operation on the website, and put a designation beside the two given phone numbers -- or simply designate one for business calls and Don't Answer It when you are in downtime and incapable of reasonable business communication. I just went to see Isabel today after reading all of the Yelp reviews and I was super happy with the results. I have long hair and haven't gotten a haircut in 2 years since every hairstylist seems to think it's ok to cut off 4-6 inches of my hair when I ask for a trim. I get a lot of split ends but am trying to keep my hair long. I told Isabel that I had that problem and asked her for a trim and not only did she cut off exactly as much as I asked for but she also taught me some great ways to get my hair healthy again. I am starting a regimen with her and I FINALLY have a great stylist to go to! I have already passed her card around work and really recommend you go see her too. read more

I am thankful that she does such a great job on my husband's hair (he doesn't have much) and she can get me in and out fairly quickly. I'm pretty busy and just don't have much time. Visited Izabelz yesterday for the second time and I am so impressed. I needed a bunch of dead hair chopped off, and she managed to do that and add beaufiul layers. I am so happy with my cut. It's bouncy and healthy now! She also took the time to explain a different type of approach to curling my hair with a curling iron and she gave me some tips on coloring my hair myself that I really appreciated. My sister recommended Isabel when i told her that i wanted a completely differerent hair style. I've had my hair long for my whole life and was ready for a change. I went to Isabel without having any idea of what i wanted because i was still nervous about shedding my old look. When I first went to Isabelz I thought it was a cute little salon and well organized. All i wanted was to get my split ends taken off because i was not sure what type of hair cut would look nice with my face. I have a full face and sometimes i am afraid to try new things. She suggested that i get bangs and that sounded uneasy at first but she said she would do a little bit and find out how i liked it. Then when it was done i really liked it so she continued. She knows exactly what kind of hair cuts to give to customers just by looking at the shape of their face. She told me that it would bring out my eyes and it did! I have never found a hair stylist that i liked so much. And she is also very gentle with your hair when combing and cutting it because for me i have very thick hair and i didn't feel any pulling or tugging. I felt that it was time consuming but when everything was done it looked beautiful. My boyfriend didn't recognize me at first but he absolutely loved it, and its hard for guys to notice things like that. But i would rate her definitely on the top 4 or 5, :D read more

well, i was searching on yelp to find a great hair salon. upon looking and calling around i found izabel'z.. i had called to find out pricing, which was so reasonable ($38) and she even washes/conditions your hair. feels good. i wanted to make a appointment for that night (12-20-07) to my suprise she couldn't get me in then. i was like well i was hoping to get my hair done tonight and have been calling around. luckily she was able to get me in for 7pm. was soooo happy. salon is really nice and colorful. she did a awesome job on my hair and never felt better. i have gotten so many compliments. i would so recommend her to all my friends and family. thank you izabel for making me over and making me feel good about myself again!!! see you again for my next haircut. read more

I have been a customer of Izabelz for the past three years ever since I got the pleasure of getting my hair done by Isabel at a fashion show. The service you will get there is by far outstanding. Isabel is always extremely professional, polite and courteous. She takes the time to listen to your needs and don't be afraid to ask her about any suggestions she has for your hair. I am so confident that she will do an impeccable job every time I go there, that I often times just tell her to cut my hair the way she thinks would suit my facial features. The place is extremely clean and she also has some cool art on the walls. Make sure to check it out. A cool feature about this salon is that you can make appointments online. The service Isabel provides to her clients is superb and is definitely worth the price for the time she spends on your hair.
