They promptly replied, that it was 14 years old (we bought the house 3 years ago & didn't know how old it was), explained which part was bad, told they is they don't make it anymore, & unfortunately it was on its last legs. Rather than charge us for a service call to tell us in person what we suspected, that we need to buy a new one, they were kind & upstanding & told us via email. They also recommended a brand, as well as which brand to avoid. When we went to purchase the new 'fridge, the sales person confirmed everything Mike's said.
