Well maintained, Close to the beach, restaurants and stores but far from enough away from the excitement and noise of the vacation spot known as Myrtle Beach. The Staff here are all great and treat me like family and not just a resident. If you're looking to live in Myrtle Beach just 3 miles from the actual beach and 5 minutes to the airport then this is the place.

Buildings out of view of potential residents haven't had landscaping around them for years. Once you move in, the staff treats you like they're doing you a favor by allowing you to live there. The management close down the amenities to residents and use them for their own parties. They have outdoor movies with the sound up so loud it shakes your walls -- during the work/school week so it doesn't interfere with the staffs' days off. And don't bother complaining. They ignore any concerns the residents have regarding their lack of management skills. It also is not truly gated. The gates are left open or are broken more than they work, but even if they are working, the property is wide open. There was even a police car chase on the grass and sidewalk around the pool. There are car break-ins and thefts all the time. But if you enjoy the smell of pot, it's absolutely the place for you. Their maintenance man Joe is outstanding, though. He is the gold standard. The rest of the staff should learn from him.

Some beautiful swimming pools beautiful for walking or jogging.Awesome neighbors all around. Beautiful views from every apartment. We moved in when there were different owners which were very good. However I have to top my Hat off to the new office team at Flintlake !!! Kelly the manager has been very good picking up all of the pieces from the previous office staff. And she has an absolutely wonderful staff I call the dynamic duo Rachelle and Derek!!! I can't stress enough how wonderful they are . It is a pleasure to go in to the office now . One couldn't be Nicer than the other ;) I moved my mother down here after my father passed away and Rachelle was absolutely wonderful with helping my mom transition . And I have to give a Huge Kudos to My buddy over there Derek . My husband and I wanted to transfer to an upgraded apartment with a Golf course view and he was so patient and efficient with helping us with the process . He has a wonderful disposition and the manager Kelly has made it possible for our transition to go so smoothly !! These 3 are the best and I acually look forward to going in there and deal with People who truly care. I feel after 2 years I really needed to write a review from myself and my husband who could not be happier to be apart of the Flintlake Family! I also have to add that the Maintenance Staff is top of the Line !! Dan and Daniel could not be any nicer and so efficient with any maintance issue they are key members to how this place functions so Well!! Thanks for all you do on a daily Basis! we plan to stay here and start a family in this beautiful community With many thanks from the bottom of our hearts. Katie & Billy

TRUST ME. I would not recommend living here. My car was stolen two nights ago right outside my…read moreapartment, which shows how unsafe this community really is. There are no visible security measures in place no cameras, no patrols, nothing to make residents feel protected. For what we pay in rent, safety should be a priority, but clearly it is not. MANY residents have spoken up after my experience and told me the same thing happened to them I have the screenshots below. If you're considering moving here, be aware that your vehicle and personal safety are at risk. There was also a recent arson issue that was swept under the rug. Management needs to step up with real security solutions before this place can be considered a safe home. They didn't even reach back out to me about my vehicle OR send out a mass email like other apartment complexes that warn their residents about things like this. Update to below managements response : Thank you for your reply, but I want to clarify my experience. There were no visible security measures in place at the time of my incident no cameras in my section of the community, no patrols, and no communication from management after ANY car was stolen or broken into not just mine. Saying "events are rare" doesn't help when it happened directly to me, and many other residents ( which I will attach receipts) nor does it address the fact that other serious issues (like the recent arson) were also minimized and not communicated with those who LIVE in the Community. What I would have expected is transparency, accountability, and communication. A community that prioritizes safety should notify all residents of thefts, provide updates, and take proactive steps rather than downplaying concerns. Residents deserve more than a generic response we deserve action.

RENTERS BEWARE!!!! We moved into Palmetto Pointe on June 26,…read more2026, and before we had even gotten all of our belongings/boxes inside, on June 27th, I informed Sydney that I had noticed roaches. I was assured they were "outside bugs" and that they would handle it. Weeks went by before someone finally came out to spray. In the meantime, the problem continued to get worse. I begged and pleaded with management to please do something because we could not live like this. Instead, I was repeatedly sent back and forth between several different people trying to get someone to take the situation seriously. Someone would come in and spray, but nothing changed. We were told to remove boxes, and we did exactly that, but there was still no improvement. The bugs were crawling on our bed, walls, ceilings, and coming through the drains. We have lived in other homes and apartments before this and have never experienced anything remotely like this. We have never had an issue with roaches or an infestation at any other place we have lived. This began almost immediately after moving into this apartment. I repeatedly told management that we had an infestation, but that was denied several times. We eventually got a second opinion, and they immediately confirmed that there was, in fact, an infestation. At that point, we simply could not handle living there anymore. I spoke with Julie about moving out because the situation had become completely unlivable. I told her that we would pay the last month, September, and that she could keep our security deposit so we could simply be done with the situation. We were there less than 3 months. We paid them $1,770 on September 8th and told her she could keep our $1,650 security deposit so that we could just move on and be done with everything. During our conversation, she told me that it would be at most $200 for one room to have the carpet replaced, as we had done a walk-through together. We have now received our final move-out statement, and it says we owe an additional $1,217. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The property was presented as a resort-style place to live, but our actual experience was completely different. We spent the worst 3 months of our lives dealing with this apartment, the infestation, and management. I have pictures documenting some of the things we had to deal with, and I have every phone call, email, and interaction with management saved. I even tried to resolve this without leaving a negative review. I simply asked if we could end things without me having to leave a review and if we could just wash our hands of each other. Unfortunately, they chose not to do that. So now I feel obligated to share our experience and let other renters know exactly what happened. Our move-in balance was $4,490. Our move-out balance, including what we had already paid to them, is $4,637. Add in August rent, and we have paid well over $10,000 to this apartment complex for an apartment we didn't even get to live in for 3 months. I strongly urge anyone considering moving here to do your research and think twice. What may look like resort-style living from the outside can be a very different experience once you are actually living there. I wish I had known all of this before signing a lease. I hope sharing our experience helps someone else avoid going through what we did. Renters, please do your research before moving here. I have the documentation and pictures to back up my experience, and I will be happy to provide them to anyone who needs more information. Update : Julie has now informed me after going through our walkthrough together Tuesday after I turned my keys in that there was additional damages to the carpet that she apparently didn't notice while we were doing our walkthrough. This is a joke!! Please read previous reviews as this has happened to a previous tenant as well!

First of all when we moved in a few things at our apartment wasn't fixed, like broken doorknob, blinds in one of the room , our carpet was dirty everywhere and had multiple stains, and etc. Office management don't take care of dogs shit dumpster, they keep it absolutely full for one week, can you imagine that? All of them! And do you know how many of them are here? Probably 10. The buildings are old so you'll get what you expected. At least they take care about grass outside , but dog poop is absolutely everywhere, I hate those people who don't clean it, I wish they get something bad back for doing it. We chose this place only because of the location, close to work and acceptable conditions of the apartment, anyway we won't stay here again and move whatever our lease expired.

I am not sure if management pretends there is nothing they can do or if they are truly helpless. There was a glitch in the third party company that operates the leasing application process and even though I stayed on top of the 24 hour time frame and communicated with management in the following days, repeatedly expressing concerns over the price I applied for being locked in. Because it was my entire goal in terms of moving out of where I am. After paying $75 for the application and $60 for pet screening of two pets I was finally presented a lease to sign that went from $1219 to $1445. The management said it is my fault because what caused the glitch was a mistake I made when I filled out in the application. Early on in the process(within the 24 hours) I said I would go back and fix it and they said that was not an option. And because of that, my price increased by more than $200? This is seeming much more like a part of their business model. When I saw the new price I called the leasing office and they rejected my phone calls. Once my mom, the guarantor, called they picked up. I really am not a brat having my mom call on my behalf- she did it without telling me but they obviously answered because it was not my phone number. So, that is incredibly telling that they knew they were wrong in an incredibly unprofessional manor.
