This is the only Montessori that offers such a program in the cary/morrisville/apex area and we are delighted by it. My kids were in montessori in FL so we knew what to expect but the teachers here are extremely patient and welcoming and both my shy kids have adjusted very well. I wish the play ground was a bit bigger but the kids don't seem to mind and find creative ways of spending time outside. The 2nd half of the day for the children's house is Art camp. Sterling is an exceptional school for academics and quality of day to day learning experiences for children. it performs in the top of NC schools. My children's teachers are nurturing and pedagogically skilled. Independence is facilitated in children, curiosity is valued, opportunities for practice to master content are a priority and drive achievement. Montessori pedagogy supports engaging teaching and learning based in the ways children actually developmentally acquire knowledge. Parents are involved, classrooms are beautiful, well resourced and organized. It's a healthy learning environment (better than most) and I am saying this from being in more than my share of schools on the east coast for over a decade.

We transferred our child to Bright Horizons when we first moved into the area. Our child had no issues at his previous daycare before coming to Bright Horizons. But our child was kicked out of Bright Horizons WITH NOT A SINGLE DAY TO TRANSITION TO ANOTHER DAYCARE OPTION because our 2 year old child who is diagnosed as mildly autistic liked to play with doors. My wife and I both work so this was a major issue for us. If that sounds reasonable to you then by all means, feel free to come to this place. Be aware that what happened to my family may happen to you. Most kids are not diagnosed with autism till they are older - like 3 or 4 years old so this businesses inability to cope may be a problem for you. To be blunt though, I don't think the issue was with our child. We found another daycare two blocks away on short notice who took our child and had absolutely no issue with them. They in fact offered to take them on a permanent basis after several weeks. We like the new place but decided to transferred to another daycare who supported special needs kids in Raleigh. Our child's new teacher loved our son so it all worked out for the best. To summarize: - Three schools had no issue with our child and this one throws him out with no ability to transition. - The staff that had an issue with my child are still showing up on their web site as of this posting. - The the level of empathy and professionalism demonstrated at this business is, in my opinion, lacking. I was very nervous about enrolling our children in school at all after some of the things we previously experienced (was considering homeschool). I figured I would at least tour after her glowing recommendation. Long story short, my children run to school every. single. day. They rarely remember to say bye. They adore this place. Renaissance has far exceeded my expectations. The teachers and staff...chef's kiss, they always go above and beyond. They are incredibly nurturing, always appear to be very present, intentional, and joyful but also firm (the children love and respect them). The way they teach these children to advocate for themselves and simultaneously care for others while appropriately processing social situations is really impressive, the parent community they have helped foster is awesome, and communication with parents has been great. The cultural diversity amongst staff and the celebration of cultural diversity is phenomenal. The displays they create for the different cultural heritage months, the on-site field trips, the programs, the festivals... Their emphasis is not academics, though in my experience they do ensure your child is on grade level. However, your child will likely walk away from the school with social skills and a general appreciation for others that will far exceed those of their peers. In the tour, the admissions coordinator said that was their bread and butter, and they really delivered. I am so grateful for the mama that introduced me to this beautiful place... my children have blossomed.

There was of course some staff turnover during our hiatus between children, but the atmosphere has stayed the same, some familiar faces are still around, and the new folks are great too. We're very happy with both the teachers and the administrative staff. All of the classrooms, even the toddler rooms, follow Montessori guidelines for play and learning, and help teach life skills and independence. Highly recommended.

I remember being skeptical in the beginning and I was so confused by how a school could have so many five star reviews. But I quickly learned that Origins deserves every star it has. We did so much research to find childcare. We called and toured dozens of schools. I can honestly say we probably called every school in the 20 mile radius and toured at least ten. We still ended up at a school that ultimately disappointed us. I cannot believe how hard it is to find good childcare. Our son was safe at his old school but that was it. He cried at every drop off, he was silent at school, and he was miserable when he got home. From day one, Origins was a completely different experience. We can tell our son genuinely loves going to school. I finally knew peace as a parent when we started at Origins Montessori. Our son has truly blossomed at this school. He talks about his friends and his teachers at home all the time. The teachers at Origins are exceptional. They are kind, they are caring, they are passionate and they are communicative. A parent's dream. They make school so fun with engaging activities while allowing the kids independence and exploration. Special shout out to our teacher, Ms. P. And the school director is a star. She is experienced, passionate and professional; you can tell right away. She runs Origins so well. Origins is reliable, affordable, and clean. We have not been sick one time because of daycare germs since switching schools (we used to have a 'daycare sick' every other week). I want to say so much more but nothing I say will be enough. Just trust me when I say, Origins Montessori will give you the best care you could ask for your child. *If you made it this far, I want to share a few particular anecdotes because I know how stressful it is leaving your child in others' care. 1. One time our son fell asleep on the drive to school. When this happened at his old daycare, they said I had to wake him up or take him home. I fully expected the same at Origins. But when we got there, his teacher got a bed ready for him and let him sleep in the back room until he was rested. I was amazed and so grateful as a parent. 2. One day, our son didn't want to eat what we packed him for lunch. Instead of letting him go hungry (as his other daycare did), the Origins team texted me and asked if they could give him something from their snack supply. 3. Our son's old daycare had cameras and yet, I still feel safer and more confident leaving him at Origins without cameras because his behavior and positive attitude about school tells me everything I need to know about his treatment at Origins. We could not have found a better place than Origins Montessori for our child.
