First time visiting Ivy I wanted to try local as I normally go where I used to live. Start with the positive, my pedicure with the young lady was very good. She was focused and kInd. My toes look great! The guy who did my nails was very unsocial with me while he was on his phone most of the time. He did not paint the edges of my nails and they look very ugly and thick when you look at them from fingertips. No oil or lotion so my cuticles looked dry and ragged from the powder and dremel tool. Also they had about 5 or so mani tables in the place and only one was set up with plexiglass. All of the others had junk piled up on them. Made me think they do not get much business. I have gone to Ivy Nails for years. I love the way Angela does my nails, but the other day I went in and she was with someone else, so I told one of the other workers I needed new dip powder color on my nails. He said okay, and then started to take off my old polish and put the acetone and aluminum foil on my nails. While he was doing it, he was facetiming someone, which I usually wouldn't care, but it took him way longer because he would stop in between each nail and talk to whoever he was facetiming, kinda rude to me?? That's not the worst part though - I'm not being dramatic when I say that I sat there with my nails in the aluminum foil for 30 MINUTES! I finally asked one of the workers if someone could take them off because my fingers were starting to burn. They were slow to help me because they were with other people, but then finally one of the girls took them off and did my nails in such a hurry I still have scabs from where she made me bleed. I jerked away once because she got so low into my cuticle and she just grabbed my hand back and kept filing the same spot! It's like they were mad at me for wanting to be helped? Not only that, but my fingertips feel extra sensitive and super dry from being soaked in acetone for so long. All that crappy work took a total of 1.5 hours and $40, plus tip. I will not go back to Ivy Nails. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Extremely rude and unprofessional. No manners - it's like all of them are trained to be rude. One technician her name "Angela" was extremely rude even though I wasn't her client. She told me to say "don't say tips say full sets". She was telling me what to do. Extremely unprofessional. Made an appointment at 5pm, and showed up at 5:02pm, all of the people working were already busy helping other people. No one acknowledge us at all when we came in. We waited for 30 minutes, nobody has come up to ask us. Then the guy told us that we have to wait another 30 mins and blame us for not being on time!! We were 2 minutes late and all of them were busy when we came in. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Do not waste your time or money here. read more

An extremely wonderful nail salon, all of the staff are very professional and courteous. They do a very good job at doing my gel manicure because they clean up all of my cuticles and shape my nails well. Their massages are super relaxing--I recommend the paraffin wax or the hot stone massage. Its pretty pricey but worth the extra dollars. read more

Wasn't very busy and they did exactly what I asked for. But none of equipment was not cleaned (there was another lady before me.) The UV nail dryer was caked in nail polish where people would bump there nails on and it just felt gross to put your hand in. Plus the girl was sick and the guy that was there would try to be cute and feed her cough drops while she was working on me. The place was clean but not the equipment. I have only been there once, but it was not a good experience. I normally go to Plainfield but wanted to have them done closer to home. The young lady that did them did not speak to me at all. She kept grinding my nails over and over. I think she thought they were artificial but they are my own. My cuticles have been so dry because she didn't put any oil on them at the end. I will give them one more chance and hope that it is better. The people were not friendly at all and didn't interact with the customers. read more

The people who work here do a satisfyingly decent job, but be sure they know you're the customer, they are there to service you.
