The call scheduling process is very straight forward and you'll get a reminder a day before the call. This place is a bunch of scammers! They baited me by saying this was a TRIAL ONLY and then 3 months later they charge me $245?? Are they serious!? They never disclose that you will be charged once you join their site. This is why so many people are pissed off. When you get an offer to join their site, they mention NOTHING about charging you once the trial is over. Read every complaint about this company and you will realise they have been doing this for over 3 years. Their job listings are worthless and you can find betters ones FOR FREE via GlassDoor and LinkedIn! They steal job posts from other online recruiters and claim that it's their own. Their emails are worth nothing. DO NOT GET BAITED INTO THIS MESS LIKE I DID. They are scammers who will charge your credit card without telling you. Ivy exec has lots of great resources, articles and webinars. I had a 20 min resume coaching with Lilly Marie which left me wanting more. The tips were very general and horoscope-ish. I expected more specific feedback about the content of my resume but all I got was, use paragraphs instead of bullets, forget the cover letter, etc. Stuff that's already been mentioned in their Webinars. I only got about 2 very specific comments when I asked pointed questions. I had more q's but we ran out of time coz of the intro. The session was free. My suggestion is come prepared with specific questions to get the most out of the discussion and keep intro super short! read more

There is no need to pay for this service. Jobs some found there are also listed on company websites, LinkedIn, Dice, etc. They have no exclusivity as they claim. What bothers me most, is how they come across as a shady crappy company. Tons of false claims, they bombarded me w/ emails and it is impossible to unsubscribe. I didn't receive any unique job listings from Ivy Exec that I already had from Indeed. My free trial ran its course and they charged me $166 for the auto renew. I contacted customer service and Vanja Karlicic responded quickly with a full refund. Her responsiveness was excellent. The value of the job leads was not. read more

I have followed this company for the last 2 years and have a love hate relationship with them. On one hand they did charge me like Karina. On the other hand I was able to apply to good jobs they posted that went directly to the emails of the hiring manager. This is something you don't find often in the online job search world. Here is my experience with their billing practices: I got a free 1 month trial from a group I belong to on LinkedIn, that was a nice plus. A month later I got charged $42 for a month of their service. I used the service for a few months, but then forgot to cancel the subscription when i stopped using it. I called the number on my credit card statement a week after the charge. They were responsive and issued a full refund, without much back and forth. The call took about 2 minutes. The customer service rep was pleasant. He even suggested ways I could get more value from the site. So I don't think they have unethical billing practices. They are just a business and at the end they did the right thing by me. Are they a scam? I don't think so. They appear to be a freemium business like many others. They probably do churn through users judging by the reviews that Richard, Jason, and Stuart wrote but they wouldn't have grown to their current size of over 300K people if they weren't providing value. A lot of businesses lose users. It's just part of the game. Also, when I talked to their customer rep asking why I should stay with them, he said that they only accept a fraction of those who apply to the site. So in short, I don't think they are trying to be the perfect solution for everyone. I had contact with a lot of hr companies and recruiters throughout my career and these guys fall somewhere in the middle. Reading up about them, they seem a relatively young company and it's my prediction that over time they will work out their kinks. I remember that when I first joined two years ago, the site looked totally different and some things didn't work. Over time things improved and they had a redesign. They also started adding on extra services like webinars and resume reviews. I went to a few of their free webinars and got some career advice I still use today. My advice is that if you want to try it out, its OK. As with all subscription business you will need to stay on top of the renewal periods, and don't forget to cancel when you stop using the website. If you do get charged and don't want the premium service then just call them to get the charge reversed. It was pretty simple in my case. There are lots of small and big companies that have similar practices. I will jump through their hoops if it means I find the job I want or get advice on how to get a higher salary from a webinar. Why did I end up writing so much about a company I have mixed feelings for? I feel that people who check them out should have both sides of the story and my experiences will let people decide for themselves what they think about the company. read more

You can't even apply to positions on their job boards with out giving them money. I find jobs on other job boards that I am right for but when I select apply it brings me to their site. I sign up for an account but elect not to have the paid service. I get an email saying that I am not a "qualified candidate to use the site"? I email the company listing my extensive qualifications and I am told I don't meet their standard. I am truly convinced the only way to use this site is to buy their service, there is no free job submittals. read more

When I signed up for Ivy Exec, I talked with a very nice employee on the phone. We went over my resume for over thirty minutes and she told me where improvements could be made. I liked the feedback and coaching I received from Ivy Exec on my unique career situation. Since I joined, I have found the content to be reliable, of good quality, and mostly relevant. However, I still haven't been able to get a good lead for my particular industry, which is admittedly niche.  I've very much enjoyed the implementation of their "mentors" program and am giving it a try now. I just signed up for Ivy Exec as I'm trying to find a better job in New York. The free sites (Careerbuilder, etc) all send me to the same old jobs, so I thought I'd kick it up a notch. I don't know what the problem is with the people saying they're a scam. When you put your credit card in, you agree to the terms. I am a mentor for Ivy Exec and I can tell you that this is not only a completely legitimate business site, but also one that has created tremendous positive value for its participants. I have not, personally, utilized their services for finding a job (I own my own business), but I volunteer my time for them and their members, providing strategic insights and advice around the proteges' desires to start a new business, find a new career, or otherwise engage in something new and innovative. Although I do this on a voluntary basis (nobody pays me a fee), I always wind up receiving some level of value out of the experience...either from the protege's themselves or simply in the process of learning new insights from the approach of helping others with design or problem-solving. Despite being a member for less than a month with Ivy Exec, I have been highly impressed with the benefits of my subscription. The economy being what it is, it is often difficult to find a job, let alone a list of jobs catered to your own abilities and experience. This is exactly what Ivy does. I have found so far, with Ivy Exec's clean interface and particularly intuitive website design that I can see the jobs I actually want and am qualified to do. I've been frequently using their personalized dashboard, where I can research jobs with an up-to-date and curated list of possible employment. I am yet to explore their mentors program, which seems to provide contact to real individuals within my field of interest. Thus far Ivy has been an awesome tool to use in my job search.
