The tasting and linen selection at their beautiful showroom got us excited months ahead. On the day, food and drinks were brought to us before we could ask. The buffet in a side room kept dinner from feeling disruptive. The bartenders ran smoothly with the alcohol we provided, and we got containers for leftovers. Our favorite part was that they cleaned up quietly during the reception while everyone kept dancing, without ever making us feel rushed. One tip: paying by ACH or Zelle avoids card fees, but transfer limits may mean splitting payments. Communicate early and they'll work with you. The owner of Penelope's Catering is a known micromanager and posted the job opening on Indeed stating she required assistance in handling inbound and outbound calls; essentially a receptionist with some added ordering responsibilities. I attended one interview with the company, and was asked by the owner to call her personally to schedule a second interview. While the first interview was unprofessional (joking about being "a difficult person to get along with"), I was ghosted for two weeks before receiving a callback, where I was informed the company "was not hiring at the moment." The job posting remains available on Indeed. Extremely unprofessional, and the owner considers rudeness and micromanagement to be good business etiquette. I would not recommend this company.
