The owner of Penelope's Catering is a known micromanager and posted the job opening on Indeed stating she required assistance in handling inbound and outbound calls; essentially a receptionist with some added ordering responsibilities. I attended one interview with the company, and was asked by the owner to call her personally to schedule a second interview. While the first interview was unprofessional (joking about being "a difficult person to get along with"), I was ghosted for two weeks before receiving a callback, where I was informed the company "was not hiring at the moment." The job posting remains available on Indeed. Extremely unprofessional, and the owner considers rudeness and micromanagement to be good business etiquette. I would not recommend this company.
