Ivory & Sage Weddings, led by Maeghan Davis as our day of coordinator, was a wonderful support throughout our two-day multicultural wedding. Maeghan brought a calm, organized, and reassuring presence that made a big difference for us. She helped keep everything moving smoothly and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy each moment. We had our Catholic nuptial mass which she was able to help keep us on timeline and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Then the second day, we had our Nigerian traditional. This can be intimidating for some but she handled big personalities and a big event with such grace. Ivory & Sage was also able to provide a beautiful charcuterie and basic florals for us, it was so nice to get things with one vendor. I believe she also offers decor. We're very thankful for her support and would happily recommend Ivory & Sage Weddings to couples looking for a thoughtful and dependable coordinator. 10/10!!! read more

Do not recommend We hired Meaghan to provide wedding decorating services. One of the primary reasons we selected her company was because our venue required all vendors to be properly insured. Her scope of work included installing disco globes above the dance floor, hanging greenery vines on pillars and beams, and assisting with the setup of florals and candles for the reception tables, ceremony aisle, and cocktail area. Unfortunately, the setup process did not go as expected. Upon arrival, Meaghan was not present and instead sent members of her team, who did not bring a ladder capable of completing the installations. As a result, they were unable to begin work and stood idle for approximately an hour while a member of their staff went home to retrieve a ladder. Even then, the ladder was not tall enough to safely complete the job. At that point, rather than providing the proper equipment, Meaghan's team had my nephew climb the ladder and assist with hanging six of the thirty disco globes, commenting to him that if he loved his cousin (the groom) he would help. This was extremely concerning, as it violated venue requirements and raised questions regarding compliance with the insurance coverage that was one of the primary reasons we hired a professional decorating company in the first place. It also created an unnecessary safety risk for a family member who was not part of her staff. We expected a professional, insured vendor to arrive fully prepared with the necessary equipment and personnel to complete the contracted work safely and efficiently. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. She did have one member of the team that went above and beyond in helping set up the dining area. Her effort, attention to detail, and willingness to assist wherever needed were appreciated and helped ensure that portion of the event came together beautifully. I believe it is important to acknowledge her hard work, even though the overall experience fell short of our expectations. Instead of accepting that she fell through on what she was contracted for she kept bringing up things to point out that her staff helped load a few things and that it wasn't in the contract. Well it was the least they could do since the ceiling instillation was horrible. And they did it and we did not ask for the help. We ended up doing most of the work to just get something done. read more

Wedding planning is meant to ensure that one of the most memorable events in your life is handled down to every detail and idea as imagined by the bride and groom . Unfortunately, for my daughter and her now husband, they found out via email the day before their wedding that their planner, Maeghan, would no longer be available on their wedding day due to personal and health reasons. While we empathize with that, much of what was anticipated to be done by the planner was done by the bride and groom themselves. Meetings she did attend with bride and groom had her multi-tasking or unavailable. Tasks listed as being done by the planner had the bride and groom completing and simply "turning them in" . Do you want a planner that simply checks things off a list, Maeghan and her team might work, but if you are looking for good memories and a wedding reflective of your ideas and needs, I would keep searching for a different planner. While Maeghan did identify a replacement, the replacement knew days before Maeghan finally told the bride and groom . Telling the bride and groom as soon as she started looking for a replacement may have reduced some of the stress. Maeghan and Ava were at my wedding the day of for coordination and set up and they were absolutely fantastic. All my family who was on site getting ready commented on how amazing she was. If I could give them 100 stars I would. She was a god send! The girls were on top of everything and I couldn't be happier that I hired Ivory and Sage. Brooklyn was our day-of coordinator and did a great job of decorating and working with our vendors that day. However, I would never recommend this company to anyone. Maeghan is the owner and clearly struggles to stay on top of her business. She barely communicated with me leading up to our wedding day. I scheduled a 15-min call with her a few weeks after booking her to figure out what the next steps were. She acted annoyed and basically told me that there was nothing to do until closer to the wedding. She told me that I could schedule my timeline meeting and we could discuss the day-of timeline as well as what decor I wanted to use from her inventory at that time. When that meeting came up, she spent 20 minutes asking me questions that I had already provided her answers to and then refused to discuss decor until 30 days out. I repeatedly sent her emails with INCREDIBLY detailed wedding plans (I've managed events professionally for years), and she clearly never looked at them. According to our contract, we should've had a coordinator at our rehearsal, but we didn't. On our wedding day, Brooklyn did a great job of setting up and decorating our venue. However, we also paid extra for someone else to handle our buffet (it was just charcuterie & pizza, so very easy refilling). We also paid extra for clean-up at the end of the evening. The buffet runner did virtually nothing and then started clearing items from the dining tables while people were still eating cake. This made people feel pressured to leave early, so our reception basically ended right after dinner and cake. Brooklyn was the only one on site to do all of the clean up. Since we're decent people, my family and I weren't going to sit around watching a single pregnant woman clean our entire wedding up, so that service was a complete waste of money. For what we received, we paid WAY too much money. And on top of that, having a busser basically push people out the door before we even opened the dance floor means we wasted a ton of money on drinks and services that weren't used. I honestly feel like Maeghan owes us a full refund for the stress and "damages" caused. I hope Brooklyn can open her own business soon because she seems much more qualified and capable than her boss. read more

I don't think we could have done it without Maeghan! She was so helpful the day of, and literally had us not worrying about a single detail. We were expecting rain for our ceremony, and when we got the all clear (literally 15 mins before I was scheduled to walk down the aisle), she moved ALL the decor outside, delegated to wipe down all the chairs, and made it happen. Additionally, our caterers left early which became an issue for bussing, but she sorted everything out behind the scenes so that I wasn't even aware of any issues until after the fact. I really appreciate how she went above and beyond and made sure every piece was in place for us. It was the best day of my life and I truly owe that to the Ivory and Ivory + Sage Weddings team. read more
