We were sad that a place with so many 5-star reviews misled us with the charges, treated us poorly when we tried to resolve, and broke state law in the process. As you can see from the picture of the receipts, the total cost for a given treatment was $377.50. However, the actual charge to us was $392.41. The receipt sent to us didn't even mention the service charge, as you can see - only the credit card printout hinted that we were paying more than shown. The reason for the 3.95% surcharge/service fee? They "don't want to raise prices:, therefore they now pass along any credit card fees (or even debit cards) - which is a sneaky way to do a price increase. They say they disclose all this to customers, that we could have paid cash or check...however we were never informed of this. Note that this "policy" is not in writing anywhere, nor is it displayed at the cashier. So we have paid $14.91 extra every appointment, when we could have wrote checks instead. We called and talked to the owner Cathy to try to resolve, and I expected we would receive an apology, perhaps even a refund for the service charges. Instead, she was rude, insisted my wife just can't hear properly, and then hung up on us! Very disappointing that a place with otherwise good service could be dishonest like this. If you can only get one area lasered, do your underarms! I used to be self conscious of my underarms because of the dark spots that were there even after I shaved and now they are completely gone. I was a little skeptical about getting my mole removed since it was above my eyebrow but in a couple months you won't even be able to tell it was there! Since it scabs up immediately after the treatment you have to be patient and let it heal on it's own. Reka is fantastic and let's you ask a million questions and has a ton of great suggestions for other products to help with your skin. The treatment includes two sessions. The first two months I had the treatment; I felt the area of treatment getting warm. By the third month, I did not feel anything. I told the manager the machine was malfunctioning. She told me the machine was working properly as the machine shows it. Fourth month, first session didn't feel anything. Once the session ended, I touched the plates and they were cold. Second session, I felt warm from the beginning. When done, I touched the plates and they were warm. Once again, I explained the situation to the manager (I was told her name was Kennedy). She didn't even listen to me. She kept on saying the machine was working properly. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience. Unfortunately, my interaction with Kennedy left me feeling uncomfortable and unheard.
