I waited until arriving here to have French cuisine. I knew I could find better French food here because it is closer to France and I was right. I found this restaurant among all the French restaurants in town, I liked their menu and their reviews. We liked it so much that we went there twice and we only stayed in Lausanne for two nights. First night we have onion soup, escargot, beef tartare, green salad, dessert - crème brûlée and ice cream. Second night we have the Seafood tower and salad. Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Ambience: 5 starts I love their menu because they serve more traditional French cuisine instead of those nouveau cuisine (like eating foam)-. I want to mention the maître d' named Adrien. I just mentioned to him at the first night that we maybe come back the next day so he sent me an invite to remind me so we did. I would call that's service and thank you for doing that.

The Entrecôte "Café de Paris" was a very poor quality piece of steak, with fat and tendons galore. The EB Burger (with a piece of foie gras on top of a patty) is different and delicious -- although the potato wedges that come with it are dry and should be substituted for regular fries. This place is pricey, and there other options that are better values (even in Lausanne, where prices are high in general) Service at the restaurant is hit or miss. For the most part it's professional, but there are definitely some wait staff who give the vibe of being arrogant. Given all that, the only reason this restaurant gets a second star is the ambiance is nice. It's somewhat of an awkward multi-level layout, but it has a charm to it. Classy and elegant. If only the food and service would match the surroundings, I'd be happy to go back.

Each dish was exquisitely done, perfectly prepared, and a nice complement. The paired sauces really made it perfect. The side of hummus was also delicious. The best Lebanese food I've had... and topped off by a delicious espresso and baklava. My only regret is that I can't sample more of the menu on my first visit...!

The single waiter, Ayman, gave us the menu and recited the appropriate options for all levels of "hungry." We ordered Fatoosh, falafel, kebbe, hummus and grilled halloumi for appetizers and mixed grill (kafka, tawouq and shawarma) for main dish (to share). I think it was called "the trio." Fatoush's was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. So was the hummus. The falafel and kebbe were better; both are strong on taste. Lastly, the grilled halloumi was excellent. All portions were a bit small though. Good thing we weren't too hungry. As for our main dish, it also came with (yummy) garlic-lemon potatoes, muhammara (nut-paprika) and three sauces. The meats were a little over cooked but very good overall, especially the shawarma which was perhaps the best thing in the restaurant. We were both very satisfied and might come back tomorrow night to try something else!
